It is so unfortunate that we have to submit this review. Over the past years we have been renting numerous vacation homes from Sweet Homes and they have been very responsive to our needs and requests. Over the last two years we have rented the same house in Waldport and each time we arrive we report back to Sweet Homes on items that need attention. In the past they have been very responsive but we noticed the change this past June and July of this year (2026). In June we reported that the bathroom sinks were sluggish and one of the traps were not working. We also reported that the rug in front of the kitchen sink should be replaced because it was very dirty, slippery and a trip factor. These items were not taken care of during our stay in June.
Upon our return in July, these items were still outstanding in addition to a very sticky floor in front of the fireplace. On our second night, the smoke/CO monitor in our bedroom went off at 2am, and then again at 5am. I reported it to management the next morning. I didn’t hear from them for two days and had to recontact them again. Their response was for me to change the battery. I told them that these monitors are battery-less, and that the monitor needed to be replaced. After my insistence, they finally sent a young man out to replace the defective monitor.
In summary, we have noticed that Sweet Homes have not been as responsive to requests as they have been in the past.
