Do not trust these guys. They sold a bum engine then would not cover the parts needed to make the repairs so it would run again. We drove 3800 miles on an engine that supposedly had 38,000 miles and the check engine light came on and there were issues with the camshaft in bank two phasers and sensors. $1900 of repairs needed, they claim their warranty only covers $610 worth of the parts and labor! After I paid a little more for this engine because of the warranty coverage!
MAJOR RIP OFF! I want to do all I can to keep anyone from making the same mistake i did and will post this review anywhere I can find to post it!

your delivery time is absolutely terrible i do not even want to give you any star i wish i never ordered an engine from you its very expensive you do no state on your web site that it can take up to 14 days for delivery i found that out when i called. the only reason i ordered it from swengines is for the warranty and now i am thinking that if something goes wrong there will be an issue with the warranty and coverage i found another engine with 75000 miles and a one year warranty for far less which would have been fine by me and i do not think you company will even read this or respond will not be doing any further or future business with your company im a 25 year A.S.E technician and its a disappointment for a company to be this laxed in this demanding field.. not content at all with your service.and as i reviewed some of your customers reviews most only give one star now i can see why.

When I got a quote on the motor I entered the VIN number so they tell me what motor they give me a price of 995 get the motor it had been tipped over in transit casing was broke engine oil and radiator fluid all over engine and trailer they sent me the wrong motor and now I have to pay an additional $995 to get the correct motor after two weeks of calling to find out what's going on that's what I get told

-I ordered a motor over the phone and got an email and they were sending the wrong motor so we emailed got no response so we called shipping and said they were sending the wrong motor so shipping said that was find we cancelled it because it hadn't been pulled or got ready. Now the refunded me except kept 450.00 saying it was a stocking fee and we explained to them we talked to shipping then they said oh that was a cancellation fee but it was not our mistake they were going to send the wrong motor and even gave my vin number to the vehicle. Been calling the owner John since last friday and can never get him, leave messages emails and nothing. Talked to an Anthony guy who was very very rude hollering and being very rude and even hung up on me twice. I can't even get a billing address because they keep sending me to voicemail. No one has ever called back. They are trying to keep the $450.00 which I need to put toward another motor. I have never heard of this kind of deal and with people like Anthony and John not responding and avoiding my call I'm surprised they in business. I definitely would not recommend this company, it's been a complete nightmare. I really hope they get what they deserve. Goodluck dealing with a guy named Anothony and goodluck trying to reach the owner John. Hell of a horrible business. Never ever recommend to anyone I know. I PURCHASED AN ENGINE FROM THIS COMPANY NOT REALIZING THAT IT HAD NOTHING BUT BAD REVIEWS. IT TOOK THEM DAYS TO MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO DELIVER IT. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF AND UPPER MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE. I PAID $1495 ON DEC 2, 2019 AND FINALLY THEIR SHIPPING COMPANY MADE AN ATTEMPT TO DELIVER ON DECEMBER 30, EVEN THOUGH THEY PROMISED TO DELIVER WITHIN 10 TO 14 DAYS OF PURCHASE., THEY HANG UP THE PHONE IF THEY DONT LIKE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY OR COMPLAIN ABOUT. I CANCELLED THE ORDER AND NOW THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT THEIR WAREHOUSE WILL CHARGE ME $80 A DAY FOR STORAGE, $200 EACH WAY FOR SHIPPING AND 25% OF THE $1495 THAT I PAID FOR THE ENGINE ON 12/2/2019. THEY ALSO REFUSED TO HAVE THE ENGINE SHIPPED BACK TO THEM SO THAT THEY CAN DRAIN THE ENTIRE $1495 THAT I PAID THEM FOR THE ENGINE. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN IN ALL STATES, THEY ARE NOTHING BUT SCAMMERS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

Purchased a motor for my Dodge Ram 1500. My mechanic was in the hospital at time of delivery swengines would not honor the 5 year warranty I paid addition for. Spoke to warranty manager who was very unprofessional and began to argue with me on the phone and then hung up. Would not buy another motor from this company nor would I ever recommend them to anyone.

Engine had head gasket leak and a multitude of other problems with an engine of 43k miles (I drove 25k on it), and their warranty is horrible and unreliable.

I noticed a fraud charge on my credit card for $2,500 from SW Engines. I called my credit card immediately and notified them of the unauthorized
charge and they removed the charge. I attempted to contact SW Engines before they shipped the engine and spoke to Anthony who is the manager of the facility. The guy was obnoxious and rude during the entire conversation. I told Anthony, listen, I'm tying to make you aware that the transaction on my credit card was fraud before you ship the engine. His response was, "it doesn't matter to me, we're getting paid either way." I attempted to call back and speak to someone above him to let the company what was going on. On each of the attempts I made to call back and speak to someone above Anthony I was immediately hung up on. If you are thinking about doing business with this company I hope you read this review as well as all the other feedback to understand what kind of people you are dealing with.

I ordered a 2011 dodge 5.7hemi motor and was assured that it would be shipped the next day, after a week of not recieving a tracking number. I called, and they told me that they were still checking the motor, quality control, but wouldn't say when she would ship it, i wanted a better explanation but when i pressed they just kept hanging up on me, then they wouldnt answer my calls at all. It was at this time that i cancelled the payment with my credit card company. If they lied about shipping they probably lied about mileage of the motor as well. Three weeks later i get an email saying that they are shipping the motor, i call immediately and tell them no do not ship motor cancelled it weeks ago. In 5 more days i get a call from local frieght company saying they have motor for me, i call again to frieght company and say no dont deliver. The next day they are in my driveway honking horn. I refuse motor and they leave with the motor. A couple weeks later i recieve a letter from credit card company saying i am being charged for motor because swengines delivered motor to me and i accepted it. It took me awhile but i finally got it straight with my credit card company. SWengines are crooked as they come, liars and straight up thieves ! And my hope is that they will all rot in hell. No good pieces of crap, from the asian lady answering the phone who was the rudest lying i have ever talked to. Right up to Joe the salesperson on the phone. All are straight up liars and thieves.

The sales person at SWengines was pleasant but NOT informative. I was told I was buying a low milage engine that I could simply put into my car and go. That was far from the case as it needed a timing belt kit and seals. When I called for either a partial refund for the money it would take to make the engine functional or get my money back, I got a major runaround. You can't get anyone on the phone from their warranty department. The warranty line hung up on me time and time again as I waited on hold. Rude Scott from the warranty department finally emailed me and asked if I had read the warranty? Of course I replied NO as I was told by the sales person that I was getting a working engine. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he ignored my request. I tried to reach a supervisor through the sales department and shipping department and they too ignored my request. I then went on their website to leave a review and they claim to have a 99.4% customer satisfaction rating however there is NO way to leave a review on their website! This company needs to be investigated as they are ripping people off.

This is not a company I would recommend to anyone .Worst experience ever Customer Service is the Worst very Rude when talking with customers that have spent good money on their products. Never again will I spend a red cent with this company

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! We just didn't listen to these reviews. Do not be as stupid as we were!!!! We purchased a rebuilt engine from SW Engines, via Remanns. Less than 3,000 miles later, the oil pressure pump goes out. Guess what, it isn't covered under their warranty in diesel engines.

I bought a 1.6L Mazda motor for an '01 Protege. Their customer service was good, the motor got delivered within the timeframe they'd specified, and it runs as expected. The engine was delivered pressure washed, cradled fair enough for a used motor, and the oil pan had been pulled with the bolts thoughtfully placed in a bag clamped inside the pan dsoo they wouldn't get lost in transit. Overall I'm really happy with it. I'm assuming the bad ratings are from folks who have never sourced a used motor from a junkyard? I don't review things but after reading the bad reviews I had to get on here to let people know that I was treated great.

They sold me a bad transmission that didn't work and I spent $2,500! They are bad people.

SW ENGINES does NOT even deserve one star. Do NOT try to use this SW Engines or their carriers (R&L or Mt. Valley Express). I lost a thousand dollars in just trying to get an engine. I thought they were my answer. They were my nightmare. They lack in product (cut-out from a field car with cruddy oil in places where it shouldn't be), communications (they do not return phone calls or emails left daily), and customer service. They have no pride in their work.

NEVER DEAL WITH THIS GROUP!!. I OWN A SHOP IN COLO. FOUND THIS COMPANY ONLINE. I ORDERED AN ENGINE FOR A TOYOTA PICK-UP. IT TOOK FOREVER TO GET IT, BUT IT FINALLY SHOWED UP
WE BOUGHT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY 5/50K INSTALLED THE ENGINE AND IT HAD A NOTICEABLE "KNOCK/RATTLE" I NEVER GOT A HOLD OF THEIR WARRANTY PEOPLE. FINALLY GOT LUCKY WITH AN E-MAIL. THEY SAID SEND US THE MECHANICS REPORT. SO WE DIAGED THEIR BAD ENGINE FOR THEM AND E-MAILED THE REPORT, AND FAXED IT, AND
WAITED AND WAITED AND WAITED. ALL THE WHILE MY CUSTOMER IS HITCHING A RIDE TO WORK. SINCE THEY DECIDED THAT JUST IGNORING ME WAS WORKING SO WELL,
I CALLED MY CREDIT CARD BANK AND STOPPED PAYMENT ON THE PURCHASE. I GAVE THEM EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO RESPOND BEFORE GOING TO THE LAST DITCH EFFORT OF STOPPING PAYMENT. I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM AND HAVE LITTLE HOPE OF EVER HEARING FROM THEM. I WILL RE POST HERE IF ANYTHING COMES OF THIS ORDEAL GOOD OR BAD

Southwest Engines should not be in business for any reason! My prayer is that other people unlike me read the reviews before making a purchase. I received the engine I bought from them today and it came from some junk yard in Washington State. The oil pan was busted, the valve covers were busted as if the engine had been dropped ,rocker arm bent the shipment was awful even the driver who delivered it made negative comments about the engine, and it's not the right engine.Been trying to call them and I think they have my number blocked, scam scam scam

The first engine they sent me was letting coolant out faster than my mechanics could put it in. I called swengines and they agreed to send me another engine. I felt good about the fact that they where willing to take responsibility for the mistake. The second motor is still doing great today. But, when I asked them to pay for the first motor install because they sent me a bad motor,they refused saying I failed to activate the warranted on the first engine. If I failed to activate a warranted then why did they send me a second engine. Does anyone agree with me that they should have covered the cost of the first install being that they sent me a bad motor?

This people are scammers, they don’t even deserve a star on there review. We bought a big Diesel engine paid thousand of dollars to put in this warranty motor and it only run 4 hours and got stranded, we been leaving messages for over 2 months, spoke to Scott, and many other onces. They request diagnostic and now that they know there engine is bad are requesting me to pay a shop to take the motor back so I can get my original core back, “wow” and no word if the replacement will be guaranteed at all. I have reported this company to the state scamers hopping some one will stop this company to continue on scamming other people. Please don’t keep feeding this scammer we have lost over $17000.00

I received a used engine , which, when installed turned out to be not starting due to the fact that there was no compression on Cylinders # 2,4,and 6. They’re giving me the runaround by telling me they need a diagnostic report.I have gone to their website and tried to have an answer to no avail! Don’t buy anything from this company! Period!
