Main perks of Swipe not functional, seems like they are still in Beta mode
Invested in Swipe for the main reason that they were offering amazon prime for free. I have one of their cards but it seems that very few people are actually getting the amazon prime rebates. A lot of the other perks they are offering are just not working. Their main goal was to come out with rewards that will compete with Crypto.com but they soon realized that they are not up for it. Swipe has the potential of becoming legit one day but they are very very far from it. Wouldn't invest too much money with them...
I lost 1000€
I exchanged crypto on their app but my balance went to zero. Its a month ago but they still did not resolve my issue after contacting them on multiple channels.
No card issued…
The only thing that was successful was registering and passing my KYC to level 2. I then tried to order my free swipe card which stated it was on its way. Then suddenly it changed as failed.
I tried to contact support numerous times who were very unhelpful as they divert you to email the compliance team who deal KYC. I've emailed them several times to see if they can support me on the matter. No response and no card.
Personally I'm looking elsewhere for a new crypto card now.
Update. Not so good atm
So far, Swipe Card and Wallet works fine and flawless for me. Cashback gets credited almost instantly. Rebate for my Amazon Prime and Netflix was paid out (every 5th/6th of the month).
First card top up/purchase will take 7 days before it gets credited into your Swipe Wallet then instantly the next time using the same card. It did say that it might take 7 days for purchase to complete so people complaining that they have been waiting for the purchase to go through for days when it was their first time doesn't read the info shown in their screen. I suggest you add the cards you might use and make small purchases so that the 7 days wait will be done and over with for the next purchase. I believe you can add a max of 5 cards.
For the card color, I agree I was surprised when I got the wrong color but still got the correct benefits when I check the App. I went to their Telegram and found out that certain colors are not available so they are sending temporary cards. They need to include this information when ordering the card to avoid confusion.
All in all, a good experience so far. Hopefully I wont have to contact support for any issues as I saw people waiting for ages to be assisted. They said they are ramping up their support team so hopefully this wont be an issue soon.
Update: 2+months of use in UK
Unfortunately, my worries came true. I had lots of declined and failed transactions to places i've used the card before. I'm also waiting for refunds (declined transactions but was charged) which I hope will be paid after 14 working days according to their FAQ.
Atm, Swipe card is unreliable if you want to use it as your main spending card. Some cashbacks hasnt been given as well for purchases. It used to be instant but now you have to wait until it says transaction complete and it could take 2 weeks or even more. They do not inform users for updates when they make changes to their fees. I was surprised I was paying more using Crypto as funding source as they started charging fees without pushing a notification beforehand.
Atleast the rebates are still working as intended. Will be using it still just for the rebates.
I can confirm the issues described here…
I can confirm the issues described here regarding customer support and difficulties with transactions.
What worked well:
+ installing the app/signing up
+ getting documents/KYC approved
+ transfering SXP to the account/Staking (which is much faster than sending fiat money)
+ got the swipe card within days (in comparison, my crypto.com card has not arrived yet and it has been more than 10 days as of today)
What was not good/terrible:
- bank transfer not allowed in my country
- i got the wrong card (saffron instead of sky) but was told by Chat Support the features would be the ones of the sky card.
- sending money with VISA was difficult/erroneous in combination with VISA Secure authentication
- After successfully transferring money to the account, the account was suspended due to "suspicious activity".
- i have not yet been able to make one successful transaction with the card, spending the money i sent there
- I was told via automated email to write to a specific swipe email address to get my account reactivated and i have been writing 3 Emails (once a week) and have gotten no answer at all so far.
- Chat support is very sorry, but are unable to help with account issues. They ask for patience and tell you to contact the above mentioned email address which does not give answers
- The account has been suspended for almost 4 weeks now and my staked SXP has depreciated by about 40%
- i am unable to access my funds and i can not even get my account closed because it is done via the same email address
- also swipe.io moderators on telegram will remove comments and users from their group when the issue is mentioned
All in all this is a disaster for a company that wants you to trust them with your money. I have very small hopes to get my money back and the only reason for these hopse is that swipe.io belongs to binance.
I needed to update my address in order…
I needed to update my address in order to order a card. I did this one month ago via in app chat and sent the requested information and evidence.
After a few days I chased it up and was advised that the specific team were still dealing with the request.
A month passes and when I chased it up today I was advised that the address has been updated. I then ordered a card, but noticed my address on the app was still down as my old address.
I queried this in the chat and was advised that I needed to submit all of the information and documents I submitted a month ago in order to change my address, and that the address hadn't actually been updated.
So looks like the card will go to my old address.
Worst customer service I have ever seen

SCAM?! Blocked transaction worth of 2000$ - technical support useless. It has been already more than 2 months and I can not get my SXP back. They are lost. Transaction ID #14938265
Pending transaction and support without reply for one week!
I bought 300 SXP by debit card on 14.10., but transaction is still pending.
I contacted swipe support two times, but without responce!
This service isn't reliable, support is not working and deposit as well.

Worst Crypto Nightmare give me back my money
I am an admin of the Telegram investment group.
I tested the Crypto.com card which was original, and Swipe.io which partnered with Binance only to attack Crypto.com.
I invested 1000CRO ($150) in the crypto.com card, the transaction was quite faster than expected. I was able to order a Ruby Red Metal card. It is on the way.
On the other hand, I invested 300 SXP coin ($450 but the Swipe f***ed up the rate while I was buying, it didn't lock the price at that time when I pressed purchase. Didn't say warning signs like IF YOU ARE USING A DEBIT CARD, YOU WILL BE CHARGED NOW BUT THEN YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR COINS 7 DAYS LATER because it actually happened. I was not aware of it at all, because the transaction appeared pending, and I kept waiting and waiting. But you know what? I was supposed to pay a price of $450 but then they charged me $21 extra without saying anything. Plus I couldn't order any card because I already paid my money but then I have no access to my tokens because it is still pending but then it took forever, the CS is like bots I feel sorry for them but then they frustrate me off because of their SORRY NOT SORRY and the tech department that doesn't do their job. The CS says that they will let the tech department know, but then these nerds do not seem to care at all or it would mean that this entire Defi sh!t is out of control. I am quite sure that there are many people in situations like mine. I was able to get in touch with a sensible CS who said that they will cancel my order, because I felt really bad and cheated just right after they overcharged me, and the value just drops like hell. Plus I can't order any card and anticipate that my tokens will go back in value, or even trade it to something else to mitigate the loss. It is just a pure loss, as if very well orchestrated. Then what happens, THEY DIDN'T CANCEL MY ORDER AND NOW MY ASSET IS FREAKING $360 OR SOMETHING. I contacted them like a couple more times but still useless, they just won't do their job. I told them to give me my money back they are not giving me my money back because I don't want these tokens and I don't want to deal with this company I can't trust them, and I read a review that some people's card doesn't even work. There are so many crypto enthusiasts out there thinking that this is the key to their life without fiat currency, only to find out that they will be in a very difficult situation. They partnered with the number one crypto company but they are abusing that partnership and it will eventually do damage to Binance's reputation as well. I was attracted by the card's benefits because, in fact, it is more attractive than Crypto.com's card. But this company does not have integrity and I am really mad, it seems like Transferwise doesn't wanna help me get back my money from these people who seem to intentionally mislead customers luring with a card that they copied from Crypto.com with added more benefits, but traps money for 7 days without visible notice in the interface, like how do you expect us to know that we will be locked for 7 days? I could have just sent it by ACH which could have costed lesser. I am very appalled by your ethics as a company, especially a very disappointing tech department. I do not think I want to be your customer ever again unless your token value drops like hell and I can stake more coins and a lower value AT REASONABLE TRANSACTION
PENDING TIME and still get all the card benefits if they are really functional. Also, if anyone wants to actually try investing in SXP tokens, I advise you to go buy it from Binance and then move it to Swipe. Do not deal with them by debit card or you will experience hell as I did.
If there is anyone who is brave enough to invest with them, do not be fooled by the card. It is my first time getting a crypto card, so far, Crypto.com's tokens were more reasonably priced, the transaction took only a few minutes, and the card is already on its way. What about Swipe? I got really unfair to rate increase without knowing when I paid. If I paid 1 extra dollar I wouldn't have cared, but $21 is too much it was like a 1.52~1.57 increase or something, Wirebarley locks the rate the moment you press next. I have already had overfill of a bad experience with you, so I would be pro-crypto.com purely based on result even if would be called bias because you brought this onto yourself. I have already talked with a few of my close associates who were interested, I informed them that it is not something that they are expecting. Both cards will have to load coins into the app which then you must change the coin into fiat currency for the transaction. Do you think that you can still change my mind and my review after reading this? I am still open to the idea of having backup cards. Are you please going to give me back my money in the first place to make things right?

visa debit card is declined everywhere
visa debit card is declined everywhere. Support doesn't want to help, they say we will take a look at it. but they never respond. have 3000 sxp locked in the app, they don't care about their customers. Be careful with them.
beware of false rumors
new to the cryptoshere with a lot of suspicious opinions from people who are afraid of losing their investment blocked with the main competitor (cryptocom) but swipe.io belongs to the largest exchange in the world in terms of volume and customer therefore it is normal that the attack against swipe.io is wrong be careful because swipe.io is very efficient and will be the first for visa cards.
Funds gone for over 4 days, Poor response from Support, Not kept updated
UPDATE:
This issue has now been resolved. My funds have been returned to me.
I previously thought that Swipe was a good investment. I invested in SXP (purchased from an exchange, not within the Swipe app). I transferred the SXP to the Swipe app. After some time, because of poor performance of SXP, I initiated an exchange within the Swipe app, for a different crypto currency. After a short time, the Swipe app reported that the exchange was completed. The balance of SXP went to 0. And the balance of the new token ALSO SHOWED A 0 BALANCE!
After two hours, no change. So I contacted Swipe support with the information and the transaction ID.
After 7 hours I got my first response from Swipe support. It was a general response, and obviously no effort had been made to look at the particular problem. I replied immediately indicating that their general response did not apply to my situation, I restated the problem, and gave additional information. Support replied asking for a few more specific details. I replied immediately with the information requested.
Another reply from support indicated that the information was being forward to technical support, and that this would be marked urgent and attended to ASAP.
I waited for 12 more hours, with no messages from support. It was now more than 20 hours since the Swipe app took my funds. I sent a message to Swipe asking for an update.
After about another 5 hours, I still had received no message from support. It was now over 24 hours since the Swipe app took my funds, and over 17 hours since I had received any message from Swipe support.
After 10 more hours, Swipe support finally sent a message, and simply indicated that they were experiencing a high volume of messages, and they were still waiting for an update from technical support.
It has now been almost a full day since that last message from Swipe support.
It has been 3 days since the Swipe app took my funds.
Another day...
It has now been 4 days since the Swipe app took my funds. It has been 2 days since the last message from Swipe support.
