Extremely poor experience – restrictive licensing, unstable software, and unhelpful support

We paid for our Swissup subscription on 12/04/2025, yet all products in our Subscribed Products section are marked as Outdated. This prevents us from downloading the latest versions of modules we have already paid for. Customers should not have to request access to downloads they are actively subscribed to — they should be available by default.

We have been using ArgentoTheme since 03/09/2024, prior to subscribing to Swissup for additional modules. It took over 12 months to get Argento Breeze Stripes into a remotely usable state when initially deployed with Breeze v2.8. Even after that, the theme remained unstable and heavily affected by bugs.

Our experience with Swissup’s subscription and delivery model has been consistently problematic:

Remote repositories enable silent updates, making changes difficult to track

Heavy network dependency complicates debugging and reproducibility

Updates frequently introduce new regressions

Customers are forced into continuous updates just to maintain stability

This effectively locks customers into an ongoing subscription merely to keep previously purchased software functional, which feels unreasonable and unfair.

Support from Swissup / ArgentoTheme has been equally disappointing. Responses are slow, issues are routinely deflected, and responsibility is often pushed back onto the customer — requiring us to repeatedly prove that bugs originate from Swissup’s own modules. This results in wasted time, avoidable downtime, and real revenue impact.

Instead of helping customers grow their businesses, we’ve spent months firefighting problems introduced by the software itself.

Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Swissup or ArgentoTheme to any business that requires stability, transparency, or reliable support in a production Magento environment.

excellent support

been a client for years using their subscription. of course extensions have bugs every once in a while (all do) but their support is always quick to reply and provide a fix. I'm using their extensions for almost any clients project now as a base.

Worst support and magento extensions ever

I have paid a subscription and downloaded some extensions for Magento 2. After installations, I started to experience some issues with the website. I have hired a developer and I have been told that some of swissuplab extensions were creating some js conflict and I should update the extensions.
So I contacted swissuplab to ask to have the updated extensions and they replied saying I had to pay the subscription again. So, I paid and downloaded the updated extensions.
Once the extensions were updated we have noticed that the new layered navigation extension changed all the urls format. We were very upset because we were thinking about all the SEO we could lose from that pages with different urls.
So we contacted Swissuplab support for some help to fix the issue and we have been told that they couldn't do anything about it.
So now I have to pay a developer (once again) to fix once more the bugs in their extensions.
There is much better out there with top-notch support and very well done Magento extensions, don't be a full like me and think that with a 75USD subscription on swissuplab you can have some good quality extensions for your website! Stay away from them....
