I suggest to avoid land rover as too many faults and insurance is so high as they are always getting nicked

Avoid the MOT / Service Centre

Have been taking our Audi here for annual service and MOT, received call we had a leak in our radiator and should be replaced asap. Decided not to and lo and behold no leak is in our radiator. Obviously looking to replace and onsell. Avoid.

Brought a BMW in August

Brought a BMW in August, nothing but issues with software. If you want a car that gets you from A to B then good but if you want to use, radio, answer calls, have ur wing mirrors go in just to name a few issues then don’t buy from this company. We were told wrong software downloaded so they updated it and a few weeks later (bearing mind I use it twice a week and don’t go far) it’s not working again. They don’t call you back although I am still waiting for a call today. All I want is for them to buy the car back from me as 100% not worth it and I spent a lot of money on this car. Very very disappointed by BMW - never going to buy one again and never from this company. Will contact the ombudsman and trading standards.

My positive experience with Synter Mercedes Weston Super Mare

I contacted Synter Mercedes Benz Weston Super Mare in respect to an issue of a corroded rear subframe on my W204 model Mercedes C180 CGI. The staff assisted me to to take up the issue with Mercedes Benz in Germany taking photos of the affected area and email to get a decision on what the manufacturer’s resolve would be. An instant decision was made that a replacement rear subframe would be fitted free of charge. I was provided with a courtesy car whilst the work was completed. I couldn’t have asked for a better service and was naturally pleased with the exemplary service I received throughout. Graham Taylor WSM.

Synter Solihul is a JOKE

Synter Solihul is a JOKE! The managers laugh at your mental state, 2k to dismantle a engine when the initial fault was the coolant, now they want 10k in return to fix the problem! Will contact the ombudsman and trading standards.- I'm not giving up!!!

Synter BMW Coventry.
Booked car in for service allowed 5 weeks so I could have a courtesy car.
Eventually offered me a mini.
Two days before car is due to go in I get an email showing me that the courtesy car will cost £19 per day - that is a hire car not a courtesy !

EGR Cooler Replacement

I took my BMW for a EGR cooler to be replacement following a recall. The call to the local Synter BMW in Luton was easy and appointment was booked for the following week. I dropped the car off at 8 am as requested and I was told that it could take up to 2 days although I was told during the appointment booking that it would take 5 to 6 hours. I left the car and mid morning I received a text with a link to the inspection video. On the link Technician was explaining and showing underneath the car saying a jacking point bush is missing and the engine management light is on due to the DPF clogged with soot. I was expecting a call from the technician to inquire from me whether I would like these jobs to be completed. I received no call. I received a call later in the day asking me to pickup the car as it is ready. When I approached the counter to pickup the car I was to asked to take a seat and that someone will be with me. I was waited for over 20 minutes and customers who came after me collected their cars before me. Finally a worker handed the keys saying its all done and the car is parked at the front. Assuming that this was the technician I asked him about the faults mentioned on the link. He had no knowledge and said that it needs to be investigated. As it was later in the day I left. I think the service is appalling. I received a call from the customer service asking whether it was a 5 star service that I received from Synter. I said NO and the reasons. They said they will get the technician to contact me to explain. I am not holding my breath. Very disappointing. A place to avoid if you are looking for decent service.

Synter Mercedes Milton Keynes Serviced my c class
the loan car was issued
when i got home i looked at the tyres , both back tires were illegal' and in a dangerous condition. Front tyres very low and poor condition
i was asked to drive it back to the service dept, i refused , they then sent a car out
i was due to take my kids out in the car , also the police would have issued me points
The response received from Simon Stockton, service manager was the reason they sent it out because "We don't normally check the tyres "and a sorry , and" nothing actually happened so its all ok" .
poor attitude and the usual bad service quality level
The business manager has now been in contact and put this right
Professionally handled in the end

Mercedes Benz Northampton After Sales…

Mercedes Benz Northampton After Sales Service.

The after sales service is the worst I have come across in my 34 years of car ownership.

Poor loan car management.
No communication from the service desk.
Simple services can take 72 hours or more to complete when they are promised in less 8 hours.

This was my experience this week. In the light that my wife was promised VIP treatment as we were interested in upgrading to an electric car, I shudder to think what the standard service is like.

Big Promises delivering Zero Service, buyers be ware!

My maserati had a problem in…

My maserati had an affiliate problem in Glasgow - the local dealer Parks were no help so I rang Synter in Edinburgh and they were pleased to help
We drove to Edinburgh and they fixed my problem in a couple of hours.
Could not have been more helpful- thanks to Dave and his team.

Great Experience

Just want to say what a pleasant Experience dealing with Synter Teeside was Haris Abdullah was excellent and got everything organised and even came back on his day off to meet us. I will certainly recommend this garage and all the staff were very helpful.

QUICK AND EFFICIENT

I sold my car to Synter and found them to be incredibly quick in dealing with the purchase, keeping me informed, and explaining everything in the process clearly. I was surprised how easy they made it. I would certainly use them again for future sales.

DON'T BUY FROM SYNTER NEWPORT

Buying a mini from SYNTER NEWPORT has been the most frustrating experience ever. I would NEVER recommend these dealers to anyone! And I have wasted so much time with stupid admin queries and issues. I first had concerns when I the manager, James Chesworth, tried to sell me GAP insurance with the sale of the vehicle. This was something I quite obviously didn’t need and I later found out that this practice has been prohibited by the FCA since 2015. After bringing this to their attention, I was made another offer on the car and decided to go ahead with the purchase in early February 2021.

The car was delivered swiftly, but was filthy dirty and needed to be cleaned. The V5C keeper’s section was not sent with the other documents. I tried to contact them after the sale to ask for a copy of this and was told by Miles Gordon that due to GDPR he couldn’t provide it. This was later confirmed as incorrect by the DVLA when I tried to tax the vehicle without the V5 slip. I emailed Miles who told me he was confused about what I wanted and emailed a photo of the slip. I have emailed him many times for the MOT voucher I was promised as part of the sale (it is now April), and I am still awaiting a reply.

Having still not received the logbook today I contacted the DVLA. Surprise surprise, they never received the documents. It seems Miles did not make sure the V5C was submitted to the DVLA after the sale. 8 weeks after buying the car I am still having problems with this dealership! They always have an excuse for their unprofessional service; Miles said it was his admin who had failed to process the document. Further, I am unable to register for my warranty with Mini due to not having a logbook.

I should also mention that in the midst of emailing Miles, I had an email from Sarah Hayward who was initially super helpful and got some things sorted for me. She seemed genuinely concerned about the customer experience and about negative feedback, and after the first issues were sorted out, I kindly left them a good review on the Mini Survey. However, since completing it (despite copying her into the subsequent emails asking Miles for the MOT voucher) I have had no response from her either! It seems as soon as you’ve scratched their backs, they simply haven’t got time for you. Like I said at the beginning I would NEVER do business with them again or recommend them to anyone else.

Synter Cardiff

Synter Cardiff, recently bought a new BMW X5, very happy with the service and speed of process, the car was delivered on time on the day they had promised. Will certainly be looking at going back here next time I ready to change
