Poor quality, poor customer support, high price
We ordered a custom coffee table from Tafelplein at a large price tag of 900 euros on the 15th of May 2024. Other companies with similar oak coffee tables ask +- 400 euros (for example Woonwinkelwaalrijk). However, we still decided to go with Tafelplein as they guaranteed that they could make the table according to our exact specifications. The coffee table was delivered 6 weeks later, and unfortunately, none of the specifications that had set it apart from other sites were met. After first reaching out to them about our concerns on the 1st of July 2024, they informed us that they do not rework or return custom items. However, after going back and forth, they eventually agreed to adjust our concerns. On the 28th of October 2024, Tafelplein informed us that the adjusted coffee table still did not meet expectations, and that they would have to make a new coffee table. The delivery date for the new coffee table was communicated as 17 January 2025. Yet, on the 17th of January 2025 (yes, ON the delivery day) Tafelplein notified us that they will not be able to meet our specifications, and that we will be refunded for the table. Our 900 euros was only refunded on the 28th of February 2025.
In conclusion: poor quality, poor customer service, high price.
