I’ve always wanted to hike Kilimanjaro for as long as I can remember.
I decided this year was the year I will make this dream a reality.
I went with Taheri tours and Safari. And I must say it was the best decision I made.
From the minute of planning my trip, finalising the dates and going on the excursions it has all been so smooth and efficient.
As being a solo traveler it’s never easy to find reasonable prices for such excursions but Taheri tours offered great prices for Kilimanjaro hike and was accommodating to the dates I was available.

I went to hike Kilimanjaro in end of October and i was going to be a solo hiker.
When I got to the office I met my guide Pehnina, the porters and the chef.
They were super efficient checked my equipment and made sure I was felt comfortable throughout.
I have never hiked above 2000 meters and wasn’t sure how I’d respond to altitude but my guide and the team were super reassuring throughout.
The whole hike itself was excellent. I had the best time EVER. Throughout the hike my guide was explaining and educating me on all the plants, flowers and the nature if zebra rocks. Pehnina is so calm, patient and knowledgeable not once got frustrated at my endless questions and stopping to take photos. She encouraged me to take time and appreciate the nature. She motivated me throughout.
The porters are real hero’s each one supported me so much, encouraged and motivated me throughout that I can make it to the summit.
The chef Isaac made the tastiest meals for me. Especially the soups which I got obsessed over and Isaac was kind enough to make it at breakfast for me too.
The whole team are hero’s and the real reason why I reached Uhuru peak the summit of Kilimanjaro. The amount they do and they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. If it weren’t for them I wouldn’t have successfully summited.
They deserve every bit of recognition as they can get.
Thank you to each and every one of you for making my trip the best and most memorable. If I have to do Kilimanjaro again I’d book through the same company and want the same team again.

We flew into JRO, where Nico, our guide was waiting for us. We then made a pit stop in Arusha for lunch and then continued to Ngorongoro. Spent two nights at Ngorongoro Oldeani Lodge and then two nights at Tanzania Bush Camp, Mara River. The entire trip was extremely well organised, our guide Nico was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful. Coordinating with Ally from India was seamless and he was extremely efficient at responding via WhatsApp and was very patient in answering our 100 questions! All the places he booked for us matched the descriptions perfectly, so there were no unpleasant surprises and they in fact exceeded our expectations. Nico and Ally were two steps ahead for the entire trip, so we did not even have to follow up, everything was just organised. We had some dietary restrictions and they ensured that we were provided with appropriate meals. After this experience, I would put absolute blind faith in Ally and Taheri for booking future safaris. It was absolutely fantastic!
