GREASE MARKS LEFT ON MY BOILER

I contacted the company through my AA Home Emergency cover regarding a boiler issue. Communication initially seemed fine, however I was disappointed with the overall experience.

After the engineer attended, the boiler and surrounding area were left with black grease-like marks.

I also had concerns regarding what safety checks had been carried out, as no clear report or explanation was provided after the visit. In addition, the boiler pressure issue appears to still be ongoing following the attendance.

the office did respond afterwards and explained that the marks may be related to a known seal issue on Ideal Logic boilers,

Overall, I feel the workmanship, cleanliness and customer communication could have been handled more professionally.

The worst service ever

This company went to my home to replace the element in my boiler. The engineer messed up with my home spilling water all over the place damaging the carpet. The water even went through the floor and damaged the ceiling underneath. Later they went there and repaired the damages. Now the element they fitted last less than 6 months and they don't want to go to replaced it saying they don't go back to customer that complained about them even when it was their fault. The worst service EVER!!!!!!

Unprofessional allround

Really disappointing service. The team do not respond to messages, phoning the office and they don't respond, and my case was being dealt with the firms manager. The repair they did was just terrible - all he did was attempt to replace an immersion element, the guy didn't even stop to look for leaks (was at my property for 5-10 minutes and after a couple of minutes was leaking horrendously). After I resolved I noticed a leak in the cylinder, they didn't slacken the hot outlet when fitting but it would be unfair to say their responsible as simply do not know - the original had fully seized and a standard immersion tool would not move it with a full cylinder disconnected at strain points. I could have done the work just needed parts (they didn't even turn up with the original size requested), and they could have dropped it round the following morning or just allowed me to collect from a local plumbing/hardware store - the tesla element they supplied you can buy from both Screwfix and Toolstation. I've lost hot water 5days in an no idea when their going to fix, 7 days from the failure and its worse with no heating as its soul destroying inhabitable with no shower, and dec weather cold conditions. They wanted to weld the tank on the curvature boss to the hot outlet (the tank has a solar coil and can only imagine the slag entering or acidic flux damaging the solar coils and leading to a future failure). I did ask for gas support, though I've not had it - I am already regretting asking as I know it will be rushed. AXA Assistance are just as bad and completely uncontactable in any form so taking care of boilers is the only interface you get. Still it doesn't take a lot for a simple response from Tim, just ignored multiple messages, and you see its never their fault from other reviews. So poor communication, poor workmanship, slow, honestly AXA Assistance fit well with Taking Care - both are fundamental poor and not professional. I've formalised my complaint to Halifax and Financial Ombudsman for AXA. Unrecommended and far from professional communication, management of issues and workmanship. Any half decent and genuine tradesman would disconnect from AXA, and focus on better supporting people in an emergency. Save yourself hassle and get a local plumber who pride their self's in work and have the reviews to evidence it.
