Booking issue via Viator and Tamari’s Charter
We booked a boat tour through Viator. The listing showed a Saxdor 33 and only one option was available to book – labeled in Swedish as “very large fast boat.” Based on the image and label, we believed we had booked the Saxdor.
Within an hour of booking, I contacted the local operator (Tamari’s Charter) to confirm. They told us it was not the Saxdor. We immediately informed both Tamari’s and Viator that we would not proceed and requested a refund.
Despite not using the service at all, no refund was issued. Viator pointed to Tamari’s; Tamari’s declined involvement. We are now pursuing the matter through our card provider and ECC Sweden.
This is not about the actual tour, but how misleading the booking was and how the situation was handled. Travelers should be cautious when booking through intermediaries like Viator.
