Queen from Tangerine is a relocation genius! She made moving my internet a breeze. Smoother than butter on a hot biscuit. With her charm & tech prowess, she's the ruler of smooth transitions. Bow down to Queen for hassle free internet moves. Thank you.
Wanted to try tangerine NBN but sadly it's not available to my apartment. Called customer support for refund and staff got it done for me very briefly. Overall i would say good customer service.
Bad experience. Had internet with them for 2 -3 months and I have 2, 3 drop outs a day. Ring them and their answer it was that there ware no drops out. Not recommended AT ALL.
Tangerine, again failing with service! I moved house yesterday and had booked in the cancellation and set up to have internet on at my new address put on and found out there was a better cheaper plan available so chose that.
I was told that it would be able to be remotely connected yesterday.
Cancellation went through but not that remote connection even after speaking to customer service last night. Your service is again sadly lacking.
Its easy to get good reviews when you are offering to reimburse people who put in a legitimate review on poor service.
Was with Tangerine for 1 month. Service was almost unusable as it was sooooo slow. Cancelled immediately. SINCE THEN I HAVE CONTINUED TO BE HARRASSED BY TANGERINE PRETENDING LIKE IS STILL HAVE AN ACCOUNT, TRYING TO CHARGE MY CARD AND SENDING ME EMAILS LIKE IM STILL THEIR CUSTOMER.
I reported this. They acknowledged I no longer have an account with them. THEN PROCEEDED TO DO THE SAME THING TWO MONTHS LATER, WHILE ALSO NOTIFYING ME THEY HAVE HAD A DATA BREACH AND HAVE EXPOSED MY DATA.
COULD NOT HAVE HAD A WORSE EXPERIENCE WITH TANGERINE. ARE WRITING THIS WHILE ON HOLD TO A COMPANY I NO LONGER EVEN HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH TO TRY AND GET THEM TO STOP CHARGING ME.

I have been a new Tangerine NBN internet customer, and I have been experiencing fluctuating internet speeds for the past few days, or perhaps longer because I was mainly reading the news and the odd streaming services. Then, I noticed the fluctuating internet speeds for NBN50, and it was below 10 mbps in the evenings! Have been in touch with them and they reckoned the root cause is the NBN service is not activated or provisioned properly so they now refer it to the provisioning team. As customers, we are entitled reliable internet and if the current issue is not fixed in 3 business days, I need to do something.
Just finished attempting to deal with Tangerine and their complaints department.
After weeks of unstable internet, I finally gave in and messaged their support chat. The first person ended the chat after doing some tests and stating well it looks like it’s working on our end, they didn’t go through troubleshooting etc nothing and then just ended the chat. The next person does the same tests, but at least does troubleshooting and then advised that actually, it’s the modem’s fault and I need to buy a new one. But it might not be the modem, but to work it out, you need to buy a new modem
After doing research on the expected lifetime of a modem with similar useage and checking the ACCC website for consumer rights etc, I asked for either a replacement or a refund. They denied it, I asked to speak to a supervisor and provided info from the ACCC website showing that yes, while the modem is past the warranty they claim, those warranties are in addition to Australian consumer rights and guarantees.
They weren’t interested. They still can’t tell me for sure if it’s the modem’s fault (as I’ve now purchased a new tp-link modem and the internet is still unstable and consistently not reaching the mbps I’m paying for).
I flagged with them that I’d be making a complaint to the TIO and the ACCC about their business practices and refusal to follow Australian standards when it comes to consumer rights and guarantees and that all they had to do to negate that was to refund or replace (I’d spoken to the good guys and they were happy for me to refund the new modem if tangerine came to the table). I work 100% from home, so not having access to the internet isn’t ok.
Anyway, they continue parroting the warranty info. So here I am. I’ve done some comparative research and am in the process of swapping to Aussie broadband.
If the modem was 4+ years, I’d maybe have just left it be, bought a new modem and stayed with them.. but it’s not, it’s not even 3 years old yet and not getting a lot of use (sure I work from home, but I don’t game etc and my work is mostly word processor stuff with not a huge amount of uploads or downloads and I do a small amount of tv streaming. None of this is going to churn a modem).
Their customer service and tech support people are useless. Their understanding of Australian consumer laws are lacking, their customer portal is buggy af and they were recently hit by a cyber “incident” that has resulted in the unauthorised disclosure of customer data (where all they did was notify customers - not do any “make good” activities like other ISPs when this has happened).

FTTP internet constantly fails for hours at a time. Every time I reported the problem, they would do a test a few hours later when it was back online and tell me that everything is ok and close the ticket. Then the problem would re occur. Customer service had no interest in offering any compensation for weeks of no internet in the evening.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the customer service I have received. Your website states that "Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, so if you need a helping hand, we’re here to support you!" However, this has not been my experience.
I am currently experiencing financial difficulties and will not be paid until the 14th of March. As a result, I requested a payment extension. Despite this, money was still withdrawn from my account today.
When I contacted live chat today, they informed me that the payment extension was to prevent my internet from being disconnected. However, my understanding of a payment extension is that it "moves a payment or payments to a later date to help customers during a temporary period of financial hardship."
I am very disappointed with the service I have received and would like this matter to be resolved. If I do not receive satisfactory assistance, I will be forced to contact the telecommunications ombudsman.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
I was a customer with you for over 4 years. In January I got an NBN box installed which didn't work at all this year. I complained about it to your technical team 5 times, but no one fixed the issue. I was then told I would get back paid for the time that it was not working, only to be told yesterday when I cancelled the contract that I wouldn't get any money back. I think your team needs to be more consistent with the information they provide. Very disappointed with the service in the end.
Your data is not safe, they leaked hundreds of thousands customers derails, name, address, phone number, email, account number and the answer to your security questions. With all this leaked people can hijack your accounts by using the answers to security questions to reset passwords. 2 days after the breach Equifax informed me someone is using my information online and I am at risk of identity theft. Tangerine have done nothing and they have confirmed they will not offer any compensation not security to their customers they left vulnerable. This company is terrible. I absolutely do not recommend a company that puts you at extreme risk of identity theft and has nil care for their customers.

Tangerine Telecom. What a disgusting experience! Don't waste your money on this provider. I've been with them since mid 2023 and have a ridiculous amount of drop outs which I just can't have due to WFH. And, they deducted a payment from my account 3 days after I paid via their phone service! Which they say they can't find even tho I've provided date paid, payment ref # and phone number i called to pay via auto payment. I'm awaiting a refund. They have terrible customer service who don't provide answers. So, I'm in the process of going to another provider. BUT they've removed my internet access before the service has been moved over. They tried to blame the new provider, but I don't even have their modem yet, so then tried to blame NBN! I'm going to ACCC now, just wanted to stop by here first to warn others. Please don't trust the positive reviews, it's not a pleasant experience at all! You'll be ripped off financially and not have internet access 100% of the time.

232000 customers just had their details including secret questions hacked.
All we got was ‘we’re sorry’ 🤬!!!
Done touch these guys!!!
I was accused of not paying a bill that had been paid, only for them to retract that email. Then (on the same day) they sent another email saying my details had been breached in a security hack. So I changed providers, but they have terminated my internet already, before the new service has been activated. So now I don't have any internet. Customer service has been useless. I don't know how this company has earned such high reviews and awards. Terrible service.

I was with Tangerine for over six months until I found a better deal with another provider. I changed provider and promptly cancelled my account before the next billing date only to find today that I have been charged the for the next month. Absolute crooks!
To add insult to injury, Tangerine have now suffered a data breach and user data has been stolen from their systems. I logged in to find they still have my credit card details on file on their system and they refuse to removed it! Stay away from these muppets!

Today Tangerine sent me 3 emails:
1. Oops we made a mistake and didn't charge your credit card for the automatic direct debit, we will do that now (I checked straight away and they had already taken the payment).
2. Oops that last email was a mistake, we did charge you, never mind.
3. Your personal information has been leaked in a cyber breach.
All in the course of 1 day... Bunch of amateurs. Are we going to receive any compensation for the leak of our personal info?

Tried Tangerine several years ago as my isp but they could not identify my existing fixed wireless connection and address. Tried another isp who had me connected within hours and no problems locating my address. Obviously I didn’t proceed with Tangerine however by this point they had a considerable amount of my personal data which they have chosen to retain. They have now informed me that my data has been breached and provided useful advice for current customers but not existing customers. But lucky for me they have said sorry and will learn from their mistakes.
Reply. I’m not your customer and never will be soo delete my personal records from your database as requested.

I had a horrible experience with them they never delivered any good speeds with the internet (we are talking less than 10mpbs download and upload when I paid for 50/17) canceled with them in a month. Got an email today (nearly a year later) stating that there’s an error with there system and they’re going to try take out money from direct debt didn’t say how much or for what billing period this is a horrible company would avoid.

After being told the switchover from another company would be easy, its been terrible. They were happy to take my money but now its been over 2 weeks and still no internet or mobile phones.I was told it would take 24 to 48 hours.
I've probabaly spent 2 hours on hold and speaking to people who can't give me any answers.I would'nt recommend this company to anyone.
