I hadn't played tanki since 2015, and my friend mentioned it (yesterday) so I decided to hop on today, and oh my god. I got into the second rank, and usually it takes 1 game to go up 3 ranks. This time, it took me 10 GAMES to get to the 3rd rank. EVERY SINGLE PERSON had an M1 hull and turret, and then there's me struggling with an M0 smoky and hunter. APL just destroyed the game after 2015. 2015 Christmas map was the best too. Now, just a pay to win game.

Notice: if you want to succeed at the game;
you must be prepared to:

1. Spend $100 dollars as soon as you sign up, otherwise you're behind the competition already
2. Be ready to get demolished by the unfair matchmaking system.
3. Be ready to grind your job, otherwise you'l be homeless. (that is, if you are committed to the game)

If I could give 0 stars, I would, but I cant.

I’m just gonna start off by saying I’ve been playing this game for over 6 years. Lots of people down below are saying the game is trash. And yeah, it can be. I don’t like in-game purchases with money. I don’t like match making. I prefer to choose my battles. I miss when paints and protections were the same. What the hell are drones? And why is every turret killing me so fast?
Tanki was a great game with so many players. Honestly, the devs need to go back to how things were a few years ago. Have matchmaking, but get rid of premium accounts so people don’t have to buy their way into joining battles they want. Lower the prices of turrets and hulls, their waiting times, and paints too.
Okay. What about overdrive? A lot of people like it and a lot of people don’t. Personally, I like it. I think it spices the game up a bit. So maybe Tanki can make it a bit harder to get overdrives? Or maybe they can have a section of the game where you can use overdrives or where you can’t. Overall, I still play to this day, and I think it’s a lot of fun. But definitely not as much fun as it used to be.

Hi I'm from UK Change tanki back to 2015 it was so fun. But not anymore cause everyone is maxed level. If you guys change it back 2015 lots of people would come back and play this game it's so cool game I still love it but not as much 2015. Still lots of Peoples come back to see if they changed it back to 2015.

what the fucq is this game. I started playing TO back in 2012 and I had such a great time, playing with friends and i really enjoyed the game, i watched all the V-logs, participated in all the events etc. i played until 2016-17 where I got bored and moved on to other games. Now, after 4 years, I come back to the biggest dissapointment ever. The game isn't even fun anymore, everyone is maxed out, all supplies activated 24/7, and stale as fucq, what the fucq is this matchmaking system? I can't even compete anymore, how are people the same rank as me, driving around with multiple maxed out turrets and hulls, it's impossible to play anymore, I just get 1 shotted by some Russian kid, sitting in his 1 bedroom flat, probably obese as well. What the fucq have you done to this game? It's simple, if you want to have fun, then you better be prepared to spend your hard earned cash on shittyy turrets and hulls. No more crystal boxes, they were the best ways of actually progressing in the game, now im stuck in my MK4 turrets and hulls which are rendered useless now, but back in the day, they were considered good. Fucq you game devs, you used to have around 80 000 players on your servers but no wonder you have 10k or less players on your servers now haha, you've lost so many players over the years due to your useless updates, i hope that number goes down to 1000 players or less :)

9 year veteran of Tanki Online here. that person who said people who said "don't listen to whiners. the game is fun" would've been right a few years back, maybe in 2013-2015 but not anymore. There's a reason why tanki online back in 2015 had 80k players online a day, now adays if you go on tanki it barely has 3k players. You need to have the top equipment, turret, hull or you're just going to get one shotted. Where's the skill in that? No matter how skilled you are, if you are using a lower level tank than the enemy you're fighting, you're going to die. They merged russian servers with english ones and now you won't ever find a person who speaks english. don't know the same language? great, you have no communication with your team. If you want to play a match, you can still select what mode you want to play on but that's it. You get auto placed in an ongoing game and that's no fun when it's already half way through. By the way, you benefit a lot if you buy a premium account (cost real money), 50% more exp and 100% more crystals. This game is pretty much worth it for the highest bidder and it's not fun at all if you actually want to play as a free player.

BTW don't forget about Tanki X guys. Why would they even think of making a second Tanki game instead of using those same updates/platform game engine for Tanki Online? They ended up shutting down Tanki X because they didn't have enough people spending money on the game and the server cost was too high because of it... just wow.

TankiOnline WAS the only multiplayer game that I really, really liked when I first played it many, many years ago. It was fun back then. It was SIMPLE to play, You collect turrets, hulls,kits, etc. You can upgrade them as you rank up, without too much time and effort, even without spending money. So many battles to choose from. And you can choose battles where you can see your friends playing, and join their team. There was even a choice of English, Russian, and International battles. This is important because choosing English battles mean you can speak english in the chat window, and ALL your teammates would understand you, so you can plan strategies to beat the other team. I LOVED Tanki!.....THEN IT STARTED......The developers started making changes, drastic changes (they call them "updates"). NOW, they added turrets & hulls (which is fine) BUT they made various upgrades to them that are complicated and difficult to get without paying. You cannot choose your battles anymore, they "match" you to an existing battle. Heck, you may even find yourself playing against your friend! Or, you enter a battle with only a few seconds left to play (crazy isn't it?). And no more English battles. They're all International. So forget about planning your strategy for your team to win, because your teammates only speak Russian, HaHaHa....And FINALLY, the last nail to the coffin, they changed the game platform from FLASH (which was doing fine) to HTML5. The graphics is now totally different too. MORE complicated, difficult to read texts on the screen. That is IF you can enter a battle. So there, I REALLY, REALLY MISS THE OLD TANKIONLINE. THAT WAS FUN. THIS NEW ONE? FORGET IT.

The quality of the game went down really badly in the past years and so did the number of players. The developers have added various game mechanics to make people spend more time playing yet these damage the quality of the gameplay (ex: challenges). They have sold on some occasions items (that affect gameplay a lot) exclusively for real money (which is like a nice slap in the face if you are a free to play user). The number of maps available in the matchmaker is rather low (you could also play custom battles but devs incentivise people to play in the matchmaker so much it's not even worth bothering with custom battles) so there's a severe lack of diversity in terms of gameplay. Battles are usually extremely unbalanced and it's just not fun. There's probably way more reasons for why the game went downhill but I can't be bothered to think of them all.

dont even bother guys this game consists of 90% buyers that spend 100s of dollars and block 50% of your damage and they spam double defence damage and speed and overdrives also teams are pretty much always unfair

The new update on M0, M2 and M3 is annoying. would be better if you just changed it back to the original upgrades. Its more simple and less confusing.

Man don't listen to the whiners.This game is very fun, especially if you want a game you want to keep playing it for quite a lot of time.The critics that say it's p2w, do not worry as most games are much more p2w. It's not Fortnite. You have read the review blaming them for being Russian,seriously? The only complain is, there is lots of trash from players saying its p2w, why can't they just leave?Also,for the customer support complains, they say those things because most problems that players post,its not such a big deal to make a fuss of, right? My biggest problem is, the events are too overhyped. Otherwise gameplay is awesome and skill-requiring

Since switching from flash, the game has gone towards a spiral of inevitable rubbish! I hope those in charge of managing the game will come to their senses and revoke any damage caused. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION.... I no longer am an active player within the tanki Community.

This game is trash. They just simply tricked the hackers by using a direction changer anti cheating system , so now they are blamming cheat engine as trash. But actually tanki online is trash .
The old version was amazing , Now a goood weapo exceeds 50k crystals and we hardly earn 150 in mm battles.

second , tanki is starving for money ,, so in purchasing , they will f4ck your acccount , if you cancel the transaction ! lol right ?

Impossible to progress after the first like 5 ranks. Once you rank up a bit, you will get matched up with people with maxed out weapons, hulls, and infinite abilities with no cooldown and its impossible to get more than 12 crystals per match (1 match = 5-10 mins). I really want to play the game but I can't. Don't start playing, it will be a waste of time

P.S. getting a good weapon is like more than 50.000 crystals and abilities are also really expensive

good upgrades and events

Used to be a unique, fun game (from around 2009-2017). As soon as the old community manager left, the devs for some reason started completely ignoring the community. If you aren't a veteran player, it's now pretty much impossible to get to high ranks without spending 100$+ dollars. Also, they like to copy Fortnite concepts which helped screw up the game (matchmaking system, battle-passes, v-bucks etc.). The community told them "no, this won't work for Tanki", but nevertheless they completely ignored everyone and went along with it. They are working on a new game now too btw (Fortnite clone), so I expect Tanki to die out completely in 1-2 years.

I started playing Tanki online in 2012. It was tremendous fun back then, but now, through a series of horrible updates and sloppy coding it is tedious and boring. Also they pay little or no attention to their customers and in fact have forum monitors who's only job is seemingly to berate or belittle anyone who voices any sort of complaint. This is now a play to win game that only seeks to get it's fingers in your wallet. Don't waste your time or money on it.

When i started playing Tanki online it was fun as hell, now, with these updates and the overpowered turrets it is horrible basically it's pay-to-win. I only gave it two stars because it was my childhood.

Tanki Online = Trash Online.
Seriously, this game should be shut down, because of so many reasons.
First of all, TO HelpDesk is unable to restore your nickname, clan and others items, maybe even your account, in case it gets lost / hacked; the helpdesk will use a stupid excuse that "the security of your account depends on your actions" - what else can I do, more than linking my account, securing my email? The truth is, Tanki is unable to offer your account safety and security and they dont' care how much you spend for your account.
Second: the public chat is a public bully place, where everyone bully as they like, insults, or use provocation, against users that won't swear, or won't do that, but chat moderators are unable to perform a fair moderation, they ban as they please. This is absolutely disgusting, TO allows players to act like animals and support this wrong attitude. For these reasons, TO / Alternativa Games *must* be bring in court and shut down.
Third, the game is fully loaded of useless updates, it becomes more and more boring and annoying, there is NEVER a fair battle, not even once, the developers are living in a parallel world, instead of looking into fixing their mistakes, try to write better codes to decrease errors (so many errors, all the battles, everywhere), instead of banning mult, they keep providing new paints, as if anyone really care about them when they have vital aspects to focus on and fix.
And last, the game is way too expensive for what it has to offer. Less and less players online playing it, making more and more difficult to enter battles.
Advice: tanki online? Run. Go play a game. This is not a game. This is a trash.
