Last time we use this company, never came on time and when we ran out of oil no help, and still had to wait to whole weekend without before chasing again on Monday. Very poor but very quick to take money

We had run out of heating oil and Emily at Tank Toppers was amazing. She assured me she could help, she gave me options, different price points. Oil was delivered in less than 24 hours and Emily kept me informed all the way along.

I would just like to thank the team at tank topper, I had ran out of heating oil so had no hot water or heating, spoke to the team at tank topper just to find out when I would be expecting my delivery, WOW they went above and beyond and less than 20 hours later my heating oil arrived, I can not thank you guys enough, massive 5 stars from me!

A note of thanks, gratitude...On Monday 15 January 2024, our oil gauge showed 30% full, went online at 4 pm to order oil. Found TankTopper, placed order and paid online for delivery within 5 days (before Tuesday 23 Jan). Received email confirmation for order and for account setup at 4:40pm. Wednesday morning, oil gauge was down to one bar/EMPTY! Bad news at any time, really bad news when Met Office predicting week of coldest nights on record. Neighbour was concerned that oil may have been siphoned/stolen and insisted I call TankTopper to see if delivery could be expedited. 3PM Wed Spoke with Joe (commercial rep) who picked up the call as Emily (domestic rep) was on the phone. Joe took all the details and even offered to help if we needed to file a report or claim regarding missing oil. Emily called back later that day to say she had found supplier who could deliver Sunday for reasonable, extra charge and that she would continue looking for delivery without additional charge. Friday morning 10 am our shy dog is barking, glorious relief to look out the window and see hose running from large oil tanker on road. Jordan (driver) was professional, competent, efficient, and respectful of people and animals on the property. Navigated a mile of icy road and all gates opened and closed! Called TankTopper at 11 am to thank them for the excellent service especially when demand must be high. Am sure they were fielding calls all week with similar needs and stories, they never faltered. Excellent service is an understatement. Thank you to Emily, Joe, and Jordan (driver) for personable, professional, and prompt service in this demanding week. It would have been understandable and 'business as usual' for many suppliers to go the easy route and book the Sunday delivery extra charge. To deliver in full at original price on Friday two days earlier than rescue delivery, four days earlier than original deliver by date and maintain excellent, concise communication is extraordinary, kind, excellent business practice.

We had an emergency delivery on the early hours of Christmas Eve. The process went smoothly and delivery made within 24hrs of being ordered.
Given that no-one else could/would deliver this was a life saver.
Prices were high however under the circumstances I suppose this is to be expected.

Good price at a time when the price is going through the roof. Delivered quickly and the driver was great. Nothing more could be done as everything was done very well. Thanks

Daulton Heatley was a huge help in providing me with the assistance in getting my parents their heating oil delivered and making it possible for them to be able to pay in installments which has been a massive help for them thank you so much greatly appreciated. We were also told up to a 10 day wait for delivery but my parents received their delivery yesterday which is just superb!! FAST, FRIENDLY, AFFORDABLE, RELIABLE AND EFFICIENT.

Called Tank Topper as have an empty tank, no one could deliver in less than a week. Emily was AMAZING! She took my details and called me back after half an hour with a next day delivery and quoted the cheapest price I'd been quoted all morning. Highly recommended, I'll only use Tank Topper in future. They did all the work for me and secured me the cheapest price 👌 Thank you so much Emily. xx

First [and last] time ordering from them.
The local firm they selected to deliver my oil did not have a satnav, and was unable to find my house. That has NEVER happened in 30 years.
After a few times they had me waiting in for deliveries that never came, I asked for my money back. They PROMISED to refund me by 21 February. They never had any intention of doing this. Instead, my oil turned up out of the blue 10 days later on the 20 February. They are AWFUL, and from what I can gather, their customer service trawls sites like these trying to mitigate criticism, instead of actually helping their customers. USE SOMEONE ELSE!

Disappointing. I have used tanktopper a few times and generally liked their proposition as it saves time ringing around and their pricing is generally within £10 of the cheapest supplier. My latest experience has really marred that opinion and had it not been for such a nonchalant attitude I wouldn’t be leaving this review.

I ordered gas oil on the 20th December for ‘guaranteed delivery’ on or before the 6th January’. 6th Jan came and went no gas oil, no correspondence as to why there were delays.

As the 6th was a Friday I called on the Monday and chased and was promised a call back. Nothing and no gas oil.

Wednesday I called again by which point we had ran out (I pre order when I have half a tank). The girl was efficient on this occasion and arranged delivery for later that day a week late and over 3 weeks after ordering.

When the tanker arrives it only had 490 litres. Had it not been for the issues I had experienced I would have probably not been so annoyed but having waited so long I think this is really poor. Again, I gave it a day or so to see whether tank topper would contact me to refund the shortfall. Zilch… so I wrote an email of complaint.

The attitude received in the email response was basically tough cookie. No actual apology. Apparently all suppliers run late at this time of year! I have just tested this and called three suppliers all of whom can deliver today so this is rubbish.

Then tried to educate me on ordering my gas oil earlier… I think 3 weeks is more than enough time.

Then insulted me by offering me £8.31 recompense I would rather them keep it and invest in some customer service training.

What they are missing is the most crucial point… communication is key! People wouldn’t become upset if they were kept informed!

not impressed by this company to date it is now past the delivery date agreed (10 days ) contacted company yesterday ,oh they say has nobody messaged you ,NO why am I phoning you ? then, oh they are having difficulties some people have been missed ? it is now another two day s to deliver? you have taken my monies broke a contract and no contact VERY POOR for this day and age

Bought from them once which was fine. Just broker for local firm. They now keep pestering me on phone and just hang up when you say you don’t need anything.
Go local and they’ll price match.
Avoid rude pushy dealers, especially tanktopper

I contacted the company to order heating fuel, I was informed the oil price had shot up and they were very apologetic at the rise. As the delivery option to the highlands were limited they kindly agreed to arrange a delivery of 1000 litres within two week window. I was advised that if I could find it cheaper within this time they would refund the money into my account and cancel the order. True to their word, they did. After hunting around for a few days, i did find a company who could deliver oil less expensive and within the time I needed.
Richard at Tank Topper was really amazing, He was pleased i got the oil cheaper and agreed to refund within a couple of days. The service was fantastic and I will have no hesitation using them again in the future. Even though I did not purchase oil on this occasion, I have always had kind and courteous service. Ordered and paid for 500 litres of heating oil on September 24th, 2021, and was told that the oil should arrive on October 2nd, though due to the lorry driver shortage it could be 'a couple of days later'. This was quite acceptable under the circumstances, but when it had not arrived a full week later I contacted them to see if there would be much of a delay. Again I was promised the oil 'within a couple of days', To cut a long and very frustrating story short, after repeated phone calls to both Tanktopper and Watsons oil (who they had arranged to actually deliver it) my delivery finally turned up on November 15th - 52 days after paying for it! The whole episode caused much stress on both sides, and not one of their promises of delivery was kept, despite their trucks being seen in the area. Disgusting service, broken promises, and no communication from them -and certainly no sign of an apology.

Usually more expensive than Boiler Juice. Be sure to check competitors prices.
