Our sterling silver teapot’s handle broke and I was at a loss how to get it fixed. I found Tarvier on an internet search and was pleased with communication and quote for repairs after sending photographs. I was nervous as it is a family piece but the communication and care was wonderful. We are pleased to recommend this company. The teapot is repaired very well and it looks magnificent.

I just purchased a nice, chunky, Georgian style coffee pot from Tarvier (hallmarked 1938, so not actually Georgian, of course), and couldn't be happier! A satisfyingly heavy gauge of sterling silver, in excellent condition. I was given a very reasonable price, shipping was not expensive (to the U.S.), and it arrived in just a few days. Well-packed, too. It was also nicely polished - often, when buying silver, I've had to break out the polishing cream, but not this time! Great person to do business with.

Clive adjusted a pair of 1920’s earrings from a clip fastening to a drop earring. The finished result is absolutely perfect. The earrings, which are part of a set with a pretty pendant necklace will make a lovely Christmas present for our daughter. I’m very happy to recommend Clive for his work and his communication with me which was very kind and supportive.

The repair job was exemplary. But even more so was the care and attention in communicating progress and information.

I found Tarvier on the internet. I needed repair to a 1770's silver drum teapot. We had a rapid exchange of e mails resulting in an extensive and detailed repair proposal based on my photos.
The cost of the repair was what I considered reasonable. The teapot went off via Royal Mail 48 hrs and just over a week later was ready for return by same means.
Excellent craftsmanship and customer communication.

I was so impressed with the result I sent off another silver teapot which needed some TLC. And behold.... the same excellent service.

Tarvier did a wonderful job in repairing a Georgian silver teapot. The teapot returned looking simply magnificent and with advice on further care.
Tarvier were prompt, clear in their communication and totally professional.
The repair is totally invisible and the teapot is back in use...carefully!

I contacted TARVIER regarding a ring that needed resizing. Mr Andrews was very accommodating and Professional. He literally made the ring for me again as I had to be have it cut of my finger. Mr Andrews communicate with myself upon receipt of the ring and taking photos and when it was being returned. Upon receiving the ring I was very impressed to say the least. Thank you so much I will certainly be using TARVIER again.

Sent an antique Moonstone and silver necklace to be repaired, one of stones had come loose. I was provided with a reasonable quote via email and mailed the necklace in. It was repaired and returned in under a week. But it wasn't returned in the small plastic zipper bag it was sent in, but a lovely reusuable fabric necklace holder, cleaned and beautifully presented. The case also prevented it tangling on itself, which it often does. I am so pleased with the service I will be using them again.

I sent an early 20th century posy vase to Tarvier, which was one of a pair and it had been badly damaged as the result of a house move - it had come in two, breaking where the vase joins the base. Tarvier have carried out a beautiful repair which was quite complicated because weighting material had to be removed to allow the two pieces to be joined and then the weight had to be replaced. It is not possible to detect with the naked eye that the piece has been repaired. It was quite expensive but less than half the price we were quoted by another company which advertises widely. We had prompt communications from Tarvier at every stage and quick service, given the work was done over the Christmas and New Year holiday, and we are delighted.

Clive at TARVIER was entrusted to do a complete refurbish of my chunky silver ring, and source a new gemstone as close to the original as possible. The result was fantastic, very happy indeed. Communication was excellent, email replies were quick and prompt.

It's quite hard to find a good silver polisher, to save the elbow grease and smell of doing it yourself, and so glad I found Tarvier. Great service. Great advice. Very knowledgeable. And the silver tea services have come back looking shiny and fabulous. Thank you.

We had a rather tired looking 60 year old Silver Teapot
which had a broken handle, wonky legs and a crooked
knob on the lid. We are very pleased with the way Clive
did the repairs and it now looks as good as new.

A tricky hinge repair on an antique silver travel clock . Not many gave it much hope but Clive took the job on . Excellent communication and excellent repair . All in all a very good job . Would very much recommend .

Two complex silver items, an antique Asian silver belt, and a Spanish pendant were perfectly restored by Tarvier. We could not be happier with the work, the advice for a matching chain for the pendant, and the customer service.
