Ordered 7 different kits. They all consist of garlic cloves, root ginger, a variety of chilli, a bag of spices, and then a garnish like curry leaf, cinnamon bark etc.
After freezing the kits as recommended and defrosting a month later, the garlic and ginger are watery and cannot be peeled or grated without making a watery mess.
In general every curry tastes very similar - a bland tomato with a mild spice.
Certainly does not compare to a takeaway in the slightest.

Unfortunately the chilli in the Dhal went mouldy so I couldn't use the pack - I emailed you and responded to your query on use by date and how it was stored - no response from you?
I have a subscription service with you and have never had an issue so i'm a little disappointed with the lack of customer service in this instance

This is not my first purchase from TasteSmith. The use-by dates are really good, but I do batch cook and freeze the curries as it’s generally just me that eats them. They’re the best curries I’ve ever had. I’m not a confident cook but find the instructions are really good and easy to follow. I particularly love the Sri Lankan curry. Even the chilli con carne. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Great communications keeping me up to date on my order, which arrived within a few days. Ingredients and instructions are great, and they make a fantastic curry.

Love the curries - always choose my favourites, not so enamoured of the beers. Not for me.

Who knew that Britain had so many bad Indian takeaways? I ask this because according to lots of reviewers these are ‘better than my local takeaway’. These are fun to make, with good guidelines and instructions. But I find some of the different types taste very similar so I’ve amended the amount of ginger I use. It made a little difference. They are fine but absolutely nothing special.

Absolutely FANTASTIC products, have ordered twice (and will order again). Recipes are excellent and you can easily create an authentic Indian meal by following the step by step instructions. Ingredients are all fresh and there is ZERO waste. Definitely a 10/10, can't praise them enough.

Far from good curry, not worth the price, the ginger went mouldy after just 5 days in the fridge, and customer support hasn’t responded, ignored all my emails. There is no satisfaction guarantee at all…
Update: 2weeks later after numerous emails they eventually refunded it.

Everything ordered arrived quickly, as ordered, and well packaged.
Will enjoy these kits over the next few weeks.

Best packet driven home made curry ive ever had

All the kits are great and ensure one is not short an ingredient.
I usually add some hot curry paste to whatever kit I'm using as I like hot spicy foods.

I bought the 6 pack deal and so far, I've cooked 3 of them. Tex mex chilli, Balti & Jeerha & they are absolutely amazing. Great that you can freeze them too. Im definitely going to be a repeat customer . They are so easy to use and on a par with my local takeaway!

Amazing every time.
I have been using these now for years and never had a bad meal. The best kits you can get. Easy to follow for my OH who has limited (none) cooking skills. Recommend these things to anyone. Good fresh ingredients and variety to keep your eating healthy and interesting. I don't always follow the instructions, or meat/vegetable recommendations, as I do have some cooking ability but they always turn out very good.
The one issue now is I often say, it was nice but I could have cooked that better myself when we get food delievered or out.

Very well packed fresh ingredients. Easy to follow instructions. And the end result was amazing. My family all said it was better than our normal takeaway

Bought curries for my son. We love them! Haven’t tried one we don’t like.
