I selected Tateberry Design & Construction Ltd via the Magic services website.
Mr Khan and Mr Suiliaman came to my house presented as knowledgeable, friendly and TRUSTWORTHY; and they gave us a quote for a kitchen extension. It was the cheapest we had and because of our budget we choose them. They said the work would be completed in maximum 12 weeks.
Work commenced in March 2012. During this time Tateberry received weekly staged payments but we paid also for extra material they apparently needed to buy.
The first 3 weeks there were 5 people working on site, but after that less and less people were appearing.
Tateberry wanted to have the whole payment done before the job was finished and because we asked for more people on site, ie more job done, in order to make the payment, they just disappeared blaming they were having financial difficulties if we didn't pay the last few hundred pounds left...
The work is not finished yet, after one year, they didn't provide us with any certificates and I was forced to leave my home during the summer as the house wasn't in a good condition.
They never answered the phone or the emails so I contacted Tateberry on a blocked telephone number they did not recognize, guess what...they picked up the phone!
They said they were going to send us an electrician to finish the work and have the certificate...we are still waiting for him.
We had a gas leak that we interdependently solve by calling someone else as it was very dangerous. We had a water leak which they tried to fix it, but now is back in. We lost time and money with them and will never recommend such an unprofessional and bullshitting company.
We had to call a different company to have the certificates and they advised us that nothing was done within the British standard and we have to redo most of the gas and electric works as we are in serious danger! we have a baby and these people should be persecuted by law! I hope you don't do my mistake, please call someone else!
