Very disappointing
Very disappointing. My daughter had previously given Taxi Coop Montreal an excellent review. We used them at least once a month for several months to run an errand for a handicapped relative who can't walk too far. We phoned the first time, and the female clerk immediately accepted the errand of coming to pick up an ATM (bank card), go to any convenient ATM and withdraw a few hundred dollars, bring the cash back. This errand is always to pay rent at the start of the month, as the landlord insists on cash.
We always paid cash promptly to the different drivers, gave a good tip, we were always courteous and were stunned today when Taxi Coop Montreal suddenly refused the task, without explanation, and said they had "instructions" from management that I had to phone management about this task. We called on Friday afternoon at 4:00 PM, in order to pay the rent this evening.
Taxi Coop Montreal not only refused, not only said to call management, but said management would not be available for 4 more days until Monday. A real surprise meaning they knew this is for the rent payment, and nonetheless made it impossible, compromising the payment.
In the past, we had been very happy with Taxi Coop Montreal's service. Drivers usually charged about $20 to run back and forth to the ATM, which is only 5 minutes away. We always gave a $10+ tip. To be abandoned, ambushed, and betrayed at the last minute on this errand is very upsetting.
We won't be calling Taxi Coop Montreal again (514-7252128 ext 260 Sami Kazam; 725-9885).
