I found this little gem tucked away in Tavistock - and can't believe I haven't been here before. So much nicer than the big chain atmosphere of Tavistock's Costa Coffee. Dropped in during the morning for a cuppa and quick breakfast and everything was freshly cooked and reasonably priced. I would have given 5 stars if they had been able to provide Marmite with my hot buttered toast! I will be going back to try lunch one day.
There is a nice ambiance in the restaurant, especially upstairs. The food is very tasty but the portions are small, rather along the lines of 'designer food'. The main drawback is the incredibly slow service. We ate here on a Wednesday evening when it was not wildly busy and the meal took so long with waiting between courses that we ran out of time for a desert.
