Poor quality

Visited Northampton and wasn’t impressed with the poor facilities, toilets flooded, other toilets no paper for the ladies.
Daughter came away with multiple bruises on her back. Track was good but too many drivers on the course and a mixture of novices and experienced drivers.
On comparison to your competitors you’re falling behind on prices and quality of service. Also where’s the blue flags and informing other drivers to move to the side when a faster driver comes through.

Letchworth

It is a fun day out for the family and we had a good experience with the kit and instructions. I’ve knocked a star off due to staff vaping outside the entrance door. Not a good impression when it’s predominantly kids arriving.

Team Works karting York.

My son had 2 15 min sessions as part of a group (5 kids). One was clearly a novice and quite nervous, the staff were great and he soon got the hang of it. My son enjoyed himself. Then following that my son had 2 15 min sessions on his own, this was just by chance that there was space. He put in some good times and enjoyed himself so much. The staff were fantastic, very helpful and so patient. Quality karting experience, thank you.

Will Not Be Returning

My daughter booked 2 places for the cadet carting at Halesowen for my Grandson's birthday & I booked it for our foster son.
I was told it had to be booked over the phone which is what I did. When I checked the receipt I had been charged for 2 drivers. I called & explained & spoke to a rude young girl who told me as I'd booked it over the phone then I must have booked for 2. I said that I knew for certain I'd only booked 1 driver as I only had 1 foster son but this girl was quite argumentative so I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was a lovely lady who didn’t question me & apologised more than once & refunded me 1 driver.
On the day my foster son went to the place and was told that he needed the bank card the booking was made with??
I wasnt with him so had to call my son in law on a video call to speak to the advisor. The lad said the card was needed to proceed, I said it was my card and I was home, he said he'd call head office & finally allowed them in.
I checked all paperwork received from the company for the booking as did my daughter and nowhere does it say that the bank card the booking was made with needed to be presented.
This spoiled the beginning of my Grandson's birthday and its not a place we will be revisiting!!

The worst we've ever been to

Paid £150 for 2 children and 1 adult for 3 10min racing won't be going to this one again karts were slow slowest ones we've ever been on not great at all for that money we expected to have a great time this was not the case at all. We were on the track with quite a few people that kept on crashing and because the karts are electric they slow everyones right down to crawling pace when someone crashes so just as you get into it it slows right down again and you dont get this time back. I felt there were too many cars on the track at one time. Also the crew dont go out on the track to help anyone that crashes they just watch so there were people there struggling and everyone just has to wait till they can sort it out them selves so until they do you are going at crawling pace again would be much quicker if the crew was to give them a helping hand if they are struggling to get sorted which every other place we have been they do. Not worth the money it cost at all. Did complain at the time to the crew and reception but was told nothing can be done. Useless. Would NOT recommend. Birmingham west is much better.

Great for Youth groups:

I recently took my young people to Teamworks in Coventry and the young people had a great experience. The host/ receptionist was extremely helpful and considerate.
The staff on the tracks were great and supported our young people who may have struggled.

Overall we had a great experience and they were supportive, we will use these guys again.

Do not go!! Biggest Mistake Ever, go TeamSports.

Worst experience ever, and to make it worse, the office staff are patronising.

> I booked this location based on details on the website that the Birmingham City Centre track had recently undergone massive improvements with the entire track being resurfaced. It was described as a smoother, faster and an amazing new track, this was anything but FAST!

> When the 6 participants got onto the track the handlers kept them at a very slow speed for the first 10 minutes, when asked why is there limited power, the employee explained that due to the resurfaced track they wanted to see if people could handle the go kart. This is 10 minutes of PAID time.

> During the interval I went to speak with the employee at reception as I was completely stunned that it was not explained that the track was slippery and the team would not receive a full experience when we paid in full and was not warned about this prior to arrival?

> The employee went onto mention that there had been a few issues with the surface of the track and they had people come out previous to try and assist with the smoothness. He went on to mention that some people enjoy drifting - this isn’t what we had come to do and this is not a justifiable reason

> The surface was not appropriate and did not provide the experience the team would have hoped for.

> Overall, the experience was shocking, disappointing and extremely frustrating. We have spent a considerable amount of money at Teamworks for a terrible and inadequate experience.

Very disappointing

Just did a karting experience at Team works and to be honest its pitched as the fastest indoor track that's the best driving experience, its wasn't. We were told when we booked, the track has just been resurfaced and it was very disappointing. There was no grip and we spent most of the time just sliding around the track, it did improve you sliding skills but we would never of done it if we had been told. Also with the cars being electric, the track guys can control how much power you get and it was very slow. WE were told they are going to spray the track very soon with a chemical to improve grip, why haven't they done that. The people were really good but won't be going back unfortunately.

BIRMINGHAM LOCATION

Absolute joke! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. The staff were so rude and arrogant, wasn’t allowed to complete all 3 laps because “the regulars are complaining and they want to beat their best score”. Favouritism at its finest. Then asked to speak to the manager and got told it was a female but low and behold the receptionist comes out saying he’s the director… was lied to on multiple occasions on who the said manager actually was and also heard different instructions by different people. And then wasn’t even allowed to file a complaint because the guy at the reception was so rude raising his voice and not letting us talk.
Will not be going back! Absolute disgrace never been spoken to that rudely in my life!

Very dissapointed with how we were…

Very dissapointed with how we were treated at Sutton Ashfield on Sartuday, arrived at 1645 for our booked session at 1730, we were totally ignored and had to ask the staff when our kids would go in at 1745 as noone came to even explain what was going on, one of the staff there told us you have to wait as other teams are racing and they wont mix kids with adults, our kids only started racing at 1830 an hour late and the staff was extremely rude and said to us "at least you will have the track to yourself, we explained to him that we had booked at 1730, we had a child with special needs who was really getting agitated and he told us you should have told us when you booked that you had plans to leave on time you should have told the booking team, I mean seriously after paying almost £150.I rang the customer service number & was on hold for almost 1/2 hour.Extremely unhappy and will also be putting this up on trust pilot.

When we book these events, we expect an enjoyable time especially spending so much money,it was horrible experience.

Only 1 tall guy who served us in the end was professional, forgot to take his name, very helpful when I even explained to him that we had a child with special needs, the rest of the team very rude, and responses from one of the guys was shocking

Be aware if taking children

Letchworth
Took 2 boys carting.
They have both been before and were very excited and winding each other up about who was going to get the fastest lap times.
It was pretty clear who was going to get the best lap times when one was given an adult kart and the other a child’s kart.
When I asked about this I was advised it was due to height - had to be over 145cm ( they both were )
I would not have booked or taken them there if I was advised that there would be a possibility of this happening.
There was no apology as I had to “ take it up with the company not the people who provide the activity “I was given a brochure with contact details to discuss the issue.
2 upset boys and 1 upset mum.
Very poor service and even poorer response from the staff.
Needless to say we will not be visiting again and I would advise friends and family to avoid.

Booked a 13 and 14 year old on a race session with me. Both experienced karters. Youngest was 12 when we were sold the vouchers now just turned 13. He had been upgraded to a bigger kart every time in the past. Mentioned again upon checking in but now unable to have him in a more suitable kart. Staff refused to let him have the larger kart purely because one member of the family must run a small kart in a family session. Also despite having him being on record as previously having the larger more suitable kart. With a mix of kids and adults it really doesn’t matter. Fairly surly computer says no attitude. Negligently suggested I put him in an adult only session. Seriously?? Adults in family sessions have their own children and are aware of other kids. Adult sessions have no such restraint or care, I know I’ve been on many. Also he’s a tall lad. The small kart to weight of child ratio meant significant slowing down on the ramp as well which is far from ideal. Also asked the Marshall whilst sat in the kart to move his seat back because his knees were around his ears. She said that’s as far as it goes, I said that’s not really very suitable, she shrugged and sauntered off. Fairly unpleasant session and we will be karting elsewhere from now on. Read the reviews and make your own decision there are many other places around.

Excellent service!

The most efficient company I've ever dealt with. I had to cancel initially as my son had covid. I was told it wasn't a problem I had a credit on my account with no end date. I booked again 5 months later, no problem. Very friendly on the phone and everyone at the track was so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place. Thank you to everyone I dealt with.

Absolutely shocking. I booked a party for my son that I had to cancel. I cancelled 6 says before the party. Which was plenty notice. They are fusing to hive me my refund and want to give me credit claiming its their policy. A policy I was only made aware of when cancelling. This booking was done on the. Phone and the ever so popular Bobbie Avers was quick to take payment without even informing me that this would only go to store credit if cancelled. The customer service on the phone after they take your money is shocking.Laughable company. I will be taking this further and hopefully get my full refund!!! Dont book
