Was sceptical when reading the reviews but overall had a good experience. Ordered on 9 Jan on standard shipping. Emailed on 13 Jan to ask when likely to be shipped, received email morning after advising my Sony XM6s should be shipping shortly. Received another email 1 hour later with tracking info…
Waited a few days, Royal Mail received them Friday 16th Jan and headphones arrived today (19th Jan).

Was really worried about being sent counterfeit goods, but headphones were in original packaging and connect fine with Sony Sound Connect app so verified as genuine.

Price was better than anywhere else (even though only £10 cheaper than Sony’s Black Friday student deal) so price was never ‘too good to be true’.

Turns out the headphones are from the UAE, and checking Amazon UAE after arriving they retail for approx £225, so it makes sense how they can ship for the price they do.

Overall, product is great, service was fine and arrived within 6 working days of placing the order so happy with the shipping speed, although Jan is probably way less busy than the Xmas period most complaints are about.

All good on my end - only unsure about the warranty - but hopefully this won’t be something I need to worry about!

I placed an order, then heard nothing back for two weeks.
Chasing it up, they told me that it had been shipped (without any evidence) but had gotten lost!
They offered me the same model in white... Because I needed the device to replace a failing one, I agreed.
...
That was the 18th of December and it is now the 19th of January.

Their chat bot puts me through to nobody and emails me a transcript of "is anyone there?"

My experience of this site is that it is a scam!

Terrible online company.placed a order online before Christmas,never received my order in the given time(apparently the courier lost it)messaged company on numerous times and only got automated reply.finally got a reply after Christmas and agreed to cancel order and receive full refund and still waiting for that,been nearly 4 weeks since first order.honestly stay away from this company!

Edit-because I brought with PayPal I got a refund which I was thankful for and ordered off a uk site and got it the next day,this company never sent me a email or a response,never come across anything like this before so must be a scam site

I read reviews of the long delivery times AFTER I'd ordered an Ipad Air. I paid £20 for the 'rush delivery' and began to wonder if I was throwing good money after bad!
However I placed my order on Dec 31st, and it arrived on 6th Jan, which was 3 working days, and over New Year, so was very impressed and pleased it came so quickly. The Ipad is sealed and was significantly cheaper than the UK prices. I wouldhave given them a 5 star review if there had been more proactive updates on the shipping - I had to go to Royal Mail and check every day to see what was happening, we have all been spoilt by Amazon's amazing comms!

only after you going through it you understand what it is all about. Cheap and big discounts will mean there is a cost cuts somewhere and those cuts affects the consumer experience.
For me it started on 10 December looking for some tech for Christmas gifts for children and wife, for sure ridiculously expensive on their normal price over 1k but on techinthebasket i got down to £450. I was very happy with the discounts and even payed extra 20 to cut delivery time making sure it arrives for Christmas.
Oh boy that wasn't the case, from the first email of order confirmation, you feel that something is amiss. Is not like your usual purchase confirmation, it's just a basic order invoice email.
no details on Delivery or tracking further details.
4 days after i was panicking and send email for order delivery confirmation = nothing.
6 days again email= nothing
8 days email received that they aim to dispatch in 4 days and the team is trying their best.
Here was the moment when i had to start the digging and found trustpilot reviews and i was horrified, every other day i was refreshing the page for another review complaining for the same issue we all had.
12 days - near Christmas i was still hoping for a miracle sending yet another email - no reply.
At that moment i knew there will be no Christmas gifts. On the day of Christmas i had to apologise that all gifts are on the way Santa is being late.
15 days -email reply with Shipment order
from that moment every other day the tracking had no movement
19 days Delivery arrived uk Depo
24 days package arrive at my door.
Family received their Christmas gifts on the day of New year eve at dinner lol
everyone is over the moon and happy. Fireworks .
Now in my view this selling website can win trust if only gives a full notification instead of ''Leave the warehouse 1-3 business days''

Items delivered as promised and all working perfectly.
I get all my tech from these guys. you wait a few weeks for delivery but the products are always spot on.

Having used Techinthebasket 2 times previously so had no worries about the delivery time or the product itself. Ordered the product and to my surprise it arrived 4 days later. I have now saved over £300 on items I have purchased. Wont hesitate to use again, Top service

Since writing the review I have read some of the newer reviews and surprised to see so many poor reviews. If I was a first time user of the company I would have avoided based on the reviews.
My experiences have been very good.

Was initially a bit sceptical as the iPad Air was listed cheaper than anywhere else, but it arrived sealed and bang on time, plus there was excellent a fast communication from the company.

Took a while to arrive, but it did arrive in the end. That's the gamble you are willing to take to get items at such a cheap rate.

Received: 30 December, 2025

Just a quick note. I had to email to Customer Service to receive my DPD tracking number (which I then received on 19th of December), and DPD Tracking number only updated on the 29th of December. I, then, received the item 1 day later.

My advice to everybody would be to just be patient. Item ships from Hongkong, so expect 2-3 weeks delivery time.

Ordered a new phone on the 15th December and was informed that I would receive it by the 24th December in time for Christmas as it was meant to be a present. I did not receive it and still haven't so I am really angry! I have emailed their customer services and had no response so I have raised a case with PayPal. I would advise if you are still adamant to try and purchase from these, to use PayPal as at least you can raise a dispute when it does not arrive!!

AVOID , this is a small company in Hong Kong that are scamming people from overseas.
I have now contacted my bank and PayPal.

My initial contact stated that the tracking number had not received an update in over 10 days to which I recieved a response for saying not to worry, I should have received the tracking number in the first few days. I went back on this stating that yes I did receive the tracking number but the problem was that is hasn't updated at all. To this they were unresponsive for 3 days and then sent a follow up email to which has not had a response for another 3 days. Raised a ticket with Paypal now, waiting to see if they'll a respond to that.

Had to order from somwhere else after looking like a right fool on Christmas.

Cheap price online but you do wait up to 8 working days.
I read many 1 star reviews, but this was after I had purchased, these reviews did worry me. However, I emailed the team, had a response that said do not worry, it will be there before Christmas. It turned up as promised 22 December.
I’ve had zero issues, quality is good.
Basics are, if you want to save money, give it 2 weeks to get to you, simple.

First and foremost they are not based in the UK. As soon as you make a purchase you receive an invoice from a company in Hong Kong.

I placed my order on 14th December with the free 6-8 shipping days. When I then received the invoice from HK I wrote to them to ensure that my purchase would arrive by Christmas and was told that although there would be a delay because they were ‘busy’, the delivery would definitely arrive before Christmas. I replied to say thanks, as long as it arrives before Christmas then that’s fine.

They then replied to that on 18th December to say that in fact they cannot guarantee it would arrive by Christmas, and did I want to cancel the order and get a refund. I replied by return to say yes, as I obviously now need the money back to get a replacement.

As I did not receive a reply or refund, I chased them up the following two days to ask where my refund was… I’m still waiting for a reply and the refund.

If it looks too good to be true… it is. I would strongly recommend that you buy from a reputable UK based supplier instead.

Luckily I bought via PayPal so I have raised a dispute case so hopefully I will eventually get my money back.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I ordered a Nintendo Switch OLED on 15 December and have contacted TechintheBasket three times by email for an update, but I have received no responses. I have not even been provided with a tracking number or any information on the status of my order.

I also tried their online chatbot, but it did not provide any meaningful assistance. I called their customer service number (+44 161 507 1594), but it only plays a message asking me to “select the extension you need,” without providing any options.

At this point, I am concerned that this may be a scam. If I do not receive a prompt response and a clear update (including tracking details, if dispatched), I will report the matter to Trading Standards and pursue a chargeback with my bank/card provider.

I’m extremely disappointed, as this order was intended as a Christmas present for my son, and the lack of communication has been very upsetting.

Impossible to return a phone they misadvertised, back and forth sending some nonsense. Wouldn't buy anything again, TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
