inaccurate results

My experience with Ted’s Health was not just disappointing, but genuinely worrying.
I used their service for blood testing and was provided with incorrect results. Given that clinical decisions and personal health choices are made on the back of this information, this is not a minor administrative error – it is a fundamental failure of a healthcare service.
What troubled me most was not only that the result was wrong, but how it was handled afterwards. There was no clear ownership of the mistake, no proactive reassurance, and no sense of urgency about addressing the potential impact. I was left to chase explanations and clarification rather than being supported through what should have been treated as a serious issue.
For a private provider that presents itself as a premium, clinically led alternative, this lack of rigour and accountability is unacceptable. Blood tests need to be accurate, reliable and communicated with absolute clarity. When something goes wrong, patients should not be left questioning whether they can trust anything they’ve been told.
The overall experience seriously undermined my confidence in Ted’s Health. Healthcare is built on trust, and once that trust is lost, glossy branding and convenience tools count for very little.
Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering this service to think very carefully before relying on it for test results or medical guidance. I would not use Ted’s Health again, nor could I recommend it to others.

At Ted’s Health, patient safety and clarity are extremely important to us. Finger-prick testing, while convenient, does have recognised limitations, particularly in relation to sample collection. As outlined in our guidance, the accuracy of certain markers can be affected by how the sample is expressed from your finger. In your case, the laboratory flagged that some markers were coagulated. This is something we do occasionally see with this method and is exactly why clinical review and follow-up support form an integral part of our service.
We also recognise that we could have provided more reassurance at the time. We noted that you promptly booked a consultation with one of our clinicians shortly after receiving your results, which is the intended next step for most patients. These consultations are designed to provide real-time clinical guidance, allowing results to be reviewed in context, any irregularities to be explained, and repeat testing to be arranged where appropriate. In situations of uncertainty, we are always happy to prioritise appointments or organise a retest quickly.
We understand that you chose to arrange additional testing independently. While we fully respect that decision, it did mean we were unable to support you in interpreting the initial findings or guiding next steps at that stage. During your consultation, our clinician discussed the option of arranging a repeat test through us to help rule out any false positives, in line with our clinical processes, and we understood that you preferred to await your independent results before proceeding further.
That said, we are very pleased that your follow-up tests confirmed there were no underlying health concerns. Your wellbeing is always the most important outcome.
We truly value your feedback, as it highlights opportunities for us to further improve how we communicate and reassure patients during uncertain moments. As a gesture of goodwill, we have offered a complimentary repeat test and consultation, and we would welcome the opportunity to provide you with a smoother experience in the future.

Unprofessional outfit

Unprofessional outfit . Seems like a handful of people rather than a legit company . Had trouble using and logging onto their portal . Then for my consultation started 25 minutes late . Spent money on a blood test to them be told I need another blood test at even more cost . Begrudgingly I agreed only to then receive an email saying essentially "your fine . Can't help you . See you later " absolute waste of money , time and effort . Surely a phone call or actual conversation about the blood test is warranted after spending all that money just for blood to be drawn . Highly unprofessional.

As per UK medical guidelines, two blood tests are mandatory before any diagnosis or prescription for TRT can be provided. Progressional and caring experience.

Disappointing

In short, an inordinately long wait for a treatment program that was never delivered. The staff I've interacted with have been very helpful, but it's in stark contrast to the poor service received overall, meaning I cannot recommend. Full account below.

I started my journey with Ted's Health on the 15th June, purchasing an initial test that arrived fairly promptly, which confirmed I had low testosterone and was eligible for treatment. A month later, after a very informative consultation with a very professional clinician I was prescribed my treatment plan and all seemed to be going well. I paid up for 3 months of treatment on the 12th of July and received a confirmatory blood test a few days later, and then things slowed down.

The first of these blood tests came back void and I chose to receive another in the post. A month went by before I received the second kit, and although it contained all the necessary items, it was missing the printed labels for the sample tubes, so I wrote out my own with all the information required, and sent it off immediately.

Another month went by, with no news from Ted's Health so I enquired by email. Credit where credit's due, the customer service was great once it came through; apologetically informing me the test was rejected because the lab needed the printed labels which weren't included, and offering me a free nurse-collected, confirmatory blood test.

It was several weeks before this visit could be booked, for the 8th September, but everything went accordingly. The next news I got was a bank notification on the 16th September for a refund of my treatment plan, minus the cost of the 'free' nurse blood test. I checked the website to see that my test results have come back with my testosterone registering just on the 'normal' side of the 'low' cusp, although other scores, particularly my very high prolactin levels, are clearly not normal. The results from the rejected second test had also appeared, meaning the 3rd was unnecessary.

Long story short, I've paid £100 on tests, and waited 3 months for nothing; I will clearly have to adress my hormone imbalance elsewhere.

Unquestionable skills and expertise

Good, accurate and timely communication is the secret to running a successful concern. Many companies are atrocious and fail miserably at these simple elements as I'm sure we've all experienced.

Ted's Health helped me regain my declining health by being excellent at all the above, as well as obviously having a depth of medical knowledge in their field.

A delight to have worked with them. It's a shame they aren't in charge of some areas of the NHS that would benefit from their unquestionable skills.

An excellent Company that you can trust

I have had a very supportive journey with Ted's Health. Throughout the process of having 2 blood tests they have been so helpful, supportive and profesional. When I have contacting them with a question, their response has been prompt and informative. Again, the 2 separate consultations I have had online with the Doctor have been helpful, professional and very informative. I can wholeheartedly recommend this Company as they fulfill what they say they will do 100%.

I used Ted’s health for a blood test…

I used Ted’s health for a blood test and it was a great experience. The at-home test was easy to use and stress free. The doctor was knowledgeable and answered all my questions well. The treatment was confirmed quickly and the medication arrived in two days. The whole process was efficient and streamlined.
