Very disappointed with Telecel Ghana

Very disappointed with Telecel Ghana. The government needs to step in as the service being provided is beyond abysmal. This is the second time I have bought data which has gone to waste because of technical issues with Telecel fixed broadband. The operational and monitoring systems don't seem to work.

I switched from Vodafone to Telecel…

I switched from Vodafone to Telecel after the rebrand and honestly I don’t see some huge difference yet. In Accra the internet is mostly okay for me, especially at night, but sometimes the connection becomes slow for no reason. Calls are normal most of the time.

One thing I like is that some of their bundles are not too expensive compared to MTN, but coverage still depends on where you stay. My cousin in Kumasi complains about the network more than I do in Accra.

Customer service is average honestly. Not terrible, not amazing. Sometimes they solve your issue fast, other times you keep explaining the same thing again.

Very Poor Service

The service has been off more than 3 times in a month. It takes several days to get the service back on. This is very bad. I only started Telecel internet subscription about a month ago and have not had internet service for more than 15 days in a month.
The customer service is poor and non responsive.
Terribly poor

Poor Broadband Service & Very Slow…

Poor Broadband Service & Very Slow Customer Support

Every few months, there’s a general issue with the broadband service and the internet goes down for everyone in the area. These outages are never resolved quickly—it always takes more than a week for them to fix it.

On top of that, I had a personal issue with my broadband connection. After I reported it, it took Telecel a full week just to send someone to check the problem. Even after they came, they needed at least another week to come back and actually fix it.

The service is extremely slow and unreliable, and it's frustrating that their customer support doesn’t always answer the phone. It’s disappointing, especially for people who rely on stable internet for work or communication.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service! Please don't bother wasting your money on this hopeless unreliable service provider. I spoke with some customer service supervisors everyday for two weeks and yet my broadband router still blinks LOS red light as am typing this review. They're so unbothered with service recovery. I believe they're all confused, unorganized and clueless of the importance of their service. Avoid telecel at all costs. 👎🏼❌ Thank me later!

Not Received My Fixed Broad Installation

I ordered and paid for the Telecel Fixed Broadband for my Mothers house on 19th February from the Junction Mall branch. MTN is not available in the area so I had to chose Telecel. They have a 15 working day lead time so I waited. I was told an Engineer would call to arrange the installation. I gave an alternative contact number of the house keeper who was contact only once, but no Engineer has called back to do the installation despite my persistant chasing on Telecel web chat. I have chased about 7 times..each time I am told the we'll be contacted.. its now April and Im still waiting for the installation. The Customer service is very poor and its impossible to speak to anyone to get an update or to find out when the Engineer will arrange to install. Im not a happy paying customer!!

Absurdity at its best

As a traveler it is hard to get a SIM Card, because you'll need a Ghana-ID. But at an official bigger store we got the Vodafone card. It has been super slow along the N1 and even in Cape Coast (where the screenshots have been taken) it just did not work and when it worked for a few seconds, it was horribly slow.
This is just absurd and buying this card was a big, big mistake. That said, after 450.000km of traveling by car around the world, this is the very first service, which mostly did not work (and I'm not speaking about having connection in the bush).
NOT recommended Service.

Terrible Telecel internet service

This company, Telecel Ghana's Internet service is the worst ever, I had high hopes for improvement when they took over from Vodafone.
I was using another service which was rip off as well so I switched to Telecel and I can't even finish one WhatsApp call in peace, don't mention browsing, it just won't connect.
How can they be allowed to do this to customer in a country where we have a communication ministry?

*Title:* Unstable Network Experience…

*Title:* Unstable Network Experience with Telecel Ghana

*Review:* I'm disappointed with the network stability of Telecel Ghana. Despite its potential, the service has been inconsistent and unreliable. I've experienced frequent drops in signal strength, slow data speeds, and difficulty making calls. I hope Telecel Ghana will address these issues to improve the overall user experience.

Telecel is a scam

I wish mtn can cover the whole areas with fiber, I have no options than to go for telecel broadband, after waiting for 2months to receive my package, telecel has been stealing my gb since I installed it, I used 1300 in less than 40days, even when no one is at home to make use of it. I guess I have to stop look for an alternative

Telecel Ghana stealing from customers

To say that service is dreadful is understatement of the century but I understand the recent problems they are having with undersea cables and all that but that’s not the main problem . The issue is they are stealing from the customers. when you subscribe to their data bundle, they would keep deducting from your data even when you have not used it to access anything. How can 10GB be consumed in less than 5 days when you haven’t watched any video or live events which is what I experienced ? It’s impossible, because I have unlimited data in the UK and I barely use 2GB a month and I watch a lot of videos. It’s a practice people in Ghana have accepted hence no one ever having reviewed them and it’s how the telecoms company make money by stealing from the poor. This unethical business practice and must be stopped.
