Informative, engaging, action-oriented

It's a great course to establish foundational knowledge on climate action. The material made daunting topics manageable and easier to understand. The weekly classes were great for sharing insights, asking questions, and connecting with a community. The assignments were thought-provoking and motivated me to think about what I am capable of doing.

Take this class right now

Fantastic, wonderful, transformational, 50 stars out of 5. This class was full of the most wonderful people from the instructors to the staff to my classmates, and I looked forward to getting up at 6:45 every Tuesday to go to lab and talk about cool stuff with cooler humans. The curriculum itself blows any university's intro climate course out of the water, and I learned new things about the sector that I work in full-time! Looking forward to staying involved with the Terra.do community and coming back for more classes in the future:)

Great course with a lot of in-depth knowledge

Great course with a lot of in-depth information, speakers, talks and peers. It's a cohesive group that you get to know well and can leverage in your personal climate journey.

Depending on where you're located in the world, the only downside can be the times of the meetings. Given its global cohorts, some might have to get up really early or stay up late to follow most classes.

Excellent climate education and networking

I took Terra.do's course Learning for Action between July and October 2024

Terra.do is great at accessible, yet well-founded climate education. They manage to break-down complicated topics into bite-sized pieces that help to build knowledge quickly. At the same time, they pay a lot of attention to community building and assisting people in reaching their goals, such as making a career change. By means of the course, I also got access to a wealth of resources that I will surely continue to use in the future. The only small downside for me was that it is rather US-centric, but that is a hen and egg problem, since most of the course participants were from there.

Terra.Do Climate Fellowship: Learning for Action

I came to LFA for the main two reasons: to get a high-level overview of all major pieces of the climate puzzle and put them together and get some guidance and develop vision of my path forward to getting a job in climate.

I think I achieved both goals but also gained so much more. One unexpected but very important result of the program for me was that I do not feel like a stranger anymore in a climate conversation.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this program to anyone who is interested in learning more about climate change, and what can and is being done to mitigate it and adapt to it. I think this program is effective for folks with various goals, e.g., 1) to understand what job you want to pursue and get guidance and support on how to approach the job search; 2) want to understand how different solutions to climate change fit together; 3) to network and grow your circle; 4) to feel part of the climate movement, etc. The program has many elements - asynchronous lectures, live weekly labs, phenomenal guest talks, deep dives, additional sessions like emotional resilience or career-related. There are also 5 home assignments that are designed to help you reflect and carve a vision for yourself - what you will do next. The content of the course stays open for you even after the course, so it is fine if you do not participate in all activities - all except for a few exceptions - are recorded and can be studied even after the end of the course. You do as much as you can. There is a minimal requirement of what you need to do though to get a certificate (all home assignments, 75% of guest lectures and labs), so it is still a significant commitment even if you decide to do the bare minimum (although I don’t recommend that, of course - the program has so much to offer).

I found it challenging to participate in everything alongside my full-time job and had to sacrifice something in the program to be able to finish it successfully. But I have a plan on what gaps I want to feel after the program.

All in all, I can’t overstate how important and meaningful this program is. 10/10 from me.

Empowering Action plan for my journey into climate solutions

My experience with Terra.do’s 12-week training was truly exhilarating! The program offered a 360-degree education that covered everything from climate science, economics and finance, to politics and technology. Each module connected the dots between these fields, making it clear how intertwined they are in solving the climate crisis. What made the program stand out was the diversity of experts and their actionable guidance—it wasn’t just theory, it was about taking concrete steps to leverage my skills for climate impact. It clarified how I can transition from a purely tech-focused career to one that drives meaningful change both professionally and personally in climate. The insights I gained are invaluable, giving me the confidence to be part of the solution.

Learning for Action is a comprehensive…

Learning for Action is a comprehensive course covering climate change, starting with the science behind the causes then diving into different solutions for mitigation and adaptation. The lessons are deeply researched and well-presented, with plenty of jumping off points to explore your own interests further. The course emphasizes climate justice and consideration of local context throughout the lessons. I loved the opportunity to connect with fellow students across the globe, and the instructors did a great job of facilitating small group conversations to get us started.

My experience with Terra.do has been a truly Transformative Journey Toward Climate Action

I was part of the Lemurs - Cohort

My experience with Terra.do has been nothing short of transformative. From the moment I joined the climate action course, I felt deeply engaged by the curriculum, which strikes a perfect balance between science, systems thinking, and real-world solutions. The content is thoughtfully designed to empower participants, whether you're new to climate work or already involved, and the learning goes beyond theory—it equips you with practical tools to act on climate change.

What truly sets Terra.do apart is their commitment to building a community of change-makers. The live sessions, interactive discussions, and peer support create an environment where you’re constantly learning, sharing, and growing with others. It’s inspiring to be part of a global movement of people dedicated to tackling the climate crisis head-on.

What Terra.do excels at is making complex topics accessible without oversimplifying them. They offer clear pathways from learning to action, ensuring that everyone can find their place in this vast and urgent field. If you're serious about making a difference in climate action, this is where your journey should start.
