We had a fantastic experience traveling with Terra Sur. Everything was smooth, personal, and thoughtfully organized, and we truly appreciated working with a small dedicated company.
We found Christian and TerraSur Travels actually on ChatGpt while looking for small, locally owned companies with great reviews. That was it. They popped up immediately.
We are already talking about a future holiday, Maybe in Ecuador, or Colombia, or even Easter Island!!! Thank you Christian for all the time and great work/service.

When I emailed Terra Sur for some help with our trip to Ecuador, I had some of the basics figured out, but Angelica brought in all the amazing extras and experiences that made our trip truly memorable. My husband and I were traveling with our two children, who are 8 and 10, and Angelica considered their interests. She helped us craft a trip that worked for our family, and she included suggestions for those days when we were on our own. On the days that involved guided experiences, all the guides and drivers we met and learned from were fantastic, extremely knowledgeable, and generally excellent at what they do. They made our time in Ecuador better than we could have imagined. I highly recommend Terra Sur!

We have been using independent international tour operators to conduct guided walking and adventure holidays for many years and the service we received from Terra Sur was incredible. All our transport was on time with clean vehicles and helpful and courteous driver / guides. All our specialist national park guides were extremely knowledgeable and eager to showcase their own areas of expertise. We saw much more wildlife than we were expecting and came away from Costa Rica with an incredible feel for this Country. And in the background, Christian was constantly checking our progress to make sure everything was flowing well - and it was. Top marks to Terra Sur for a great experience.

Our full time traveling family of 5 spent over 3 weeks on an amazing trip orchestrated with the help of Terra Sur Travels. We normally are a ‘plan it ourselves’ type of family and this time we wanted a little support and assurance.

We spent time touring Quito, Otovalo, Cotopaxi National Park, and 3 full weeks in the Galápagos Islands. What made the most impact on us with Terra Sur is their commitment to using local organizations/ small local businesses as well as their fellow passion for sustainable travel. We felt confident with the small tour operators because they had been vetted by Terra Sur- Taking our kids far out into the ocean on excursions, we needed to know that the guides and their boats and equipment were well maintained and safe, that LOCALS were benefitting from our visit instead of outside or international corporations, and that they were following sustainable practices.

We felt almost pampered and we didn’t even do luxury options. Our every step was carefully planned based upon our interests and needs and was followed up with messages making sure we were satisfied at every step. Any hiccups like delayed flights were managed so all we had to do was show up, which was such a breath of fresh air for this Mom who plans it ALL.

If you’re looking for some assistance wether it be with budget travel or even full on pampering, want to travel sustainably, immerse in the culture and meet with locals, AND have your trip tailored to your needs and desires- I highly recommend Terra Sur!

Exceeding our hopes and expectations for travel to Ecuador, Terra Sur is in a class apart for its skill, knowledge, passion, imagination and pure fun. From initial trip-concept-video-conferencing to regular prompts weeks in advance breaking down complex preparations for multifaceted and divergent trips (for a group of 16), to last minute What’s App phone access and detailed electronic-all-in-one-place itineraries with transportation specifics and packing lists, every aspect of our trip was flawless – even the inevitable surprises. As for the trip itself - including cruising, walking and snorkeling around the highly regulated Galapagos Islands, horseback riding over 12,000’ at Cotopaxi, sightseeing and cooking in Quito, and a total immersion experience with the indigenous Waorani in the Amazon – we’ll be processing it for a very long time. Thank you Angelica and Christian.

How could you possibly do better than Terra Sur travels? We had a few video calls and emails to talk about things that we wanted to do while in Ecuador, and went through a few itinerary adjustments…Not only did Angelica and Christian help us plan an incredible vacation in Ecuador and tailor it to exactly what we wanted while also offering expert suggestions, but when I stupidly lost my glasses in the Amazon, they moved mountains to find an optometrist in Quito who was able to make me a new pair before we continued on to our Galapagos cruise, and even hand delivered them to my hotel. To say they go above and beyond is an understatement. Every moment of our trip was so well executed and they gave us ideas of things to do that we would have never known about! Their of technology is great, we were able to download a very easy to use app with our itinerary, important phone numbers, and other information that we needed. Much better than having to shuffle through papers. Angelica & Christian were also easily available via whatsapp messaging if anything came up. Everyone from the owners to the drivers and guides are so incredibly pleasant and happy to show you around their city/country. You can’t go wrong with Terra Sur!

Traveling to the Galapagos is a once in a lifetime opportunity.  If you are going to go you want to do it right!  For us, that meant booking with a trusted travel agency who know the ins and outs of the Galapagos. I had found Angelica and Christian through Instagram.  After following them for a bit and seeing the beautiful tours they could arrange I knew they were the ones to book with.  Furthermore, they are very eco-conscious when it comes to planning tours in the Galapagos and this was an important factor for us. 

From start to finish they were by our side the entire time.  Even when we had a small mishap on our departure day to the Galapagos they were immediately available to step in and help us figure it out.  They recommended a fabulous catamaran cruise for our family of 10 and everything from the accommodations, food, tours, staff and animal sightings were incredible.

We still have quite a bit more of South America to explore, and we won't hesitate to book again with Terra Sur Travels!

Our recent trip to the Galápagos Islands was amazing, thanks to Angelica and Terra Sur Travels! Angelica provided us with tons of helpful information to help us prepare for our trip, kept us on top of getting all the necessary paperwork and information needed, and was so kind to even greet us when we arrived (with a thoughtful gift). While on the trip, and we thought my husband lost the form we needed to enter the Galapagos, we were SO grateful that she was so responsive to help us try to problem solve (thankfully he found the form!). We really appreciated all she did to make this a trip of a lifetime!

Angelica of TerraSur travels was instrumental in creating a dream vacation for our family of 10. She provided all essential information in a clear and concise manner. I loved the itinerary and the ability to follow our trip plans online. What a great way to see the Galapagos.

We are recently back from 2 amazing weeks in Ecuador, all thanks to Angelica and Christian. When we got notification of an incredible flight deal to Quito, we wondered if a trip there could include some time in the Galapagos, and maybe even the Amazon. So we reached out to Terra Sur, told them our timeline, budget, and interests, and asked them what, if any of it, did they think we could do. Within a couple of days they proposed an itinerary for our trip that included all of it! I was blown away! Okay, they went over budget... a whole $24. LOL. We were more than okay with that.

AND they recommended a day trip from Quito for us that we hadn't even considered: Cotopaxi National Park. Angelica messaged us as she was preparing the itinerary and asked how we felt about biking. I admitted that while we would be willing to try it, it wasn't something that excited us that much or that we had much experience with. She quickly switched gears and asked about horseback riding. That definitely piqued our interest! And I have to say that the day we spent horseback riding in Cotopaxi was one of our favorite days of the whole 2 weeks.

We had questions before we left and they helped us prepare. We had questions as we went along our trip, and Angelica and Christian were so responsive and helpful. Their app made it easy to get information and updates throughout our travels.

Terra Sur made this trip a breeze - planning (they took care of everything aside from flights, and really customized it to us and our interests); navigating a foreign country; and experiencing things we wouldn't have otherwise, because they knew the experiences that would really put our trip over the top. We're so glad we took their recommendation!

In the end, we left knowing we would count on them for our future South America travels. We also left knowing we had made 3 new friends (Angelica, Christian, and their awesome dog Julio).

We had such a great time in Galapagos thanks to Angelica! She had all of our travel and hotel accommodations on Santa Cruz booked for us, which made our trip stress free and gave us time to enjoy the beauty of the island hassle free. Be sure to take a boat trip over to North Seymour for some snorkeling while you’re there. Thanks for everything Angelica!

Christian and Angelica put together an unforgettable trip for us. They have made the rather impossible possible and designed a program in which we in our unfortunately quite limited time were not only able to experience the wonderful landscapes of Colombia, but above all to get a little insight into the country and its people. They took us to places we certainly wouldn't have travelled to on ourselves – because they just knew it was worth the effort! Christian was available for all our questions during trip preparation and the trip itself, so we really felt in good hands at all times and it was just relaxing to know that you can rely on everything being perfectly organized. The TerraSur team took great care to re-arrange our transports when the airline changed flights on short notice or their travellers had special requests… Thank you so much, we will certainly remember the trip and are already looking forward to the next opportunity to discover another piece of South America with your support!

Christian @ Terra Sur Travels put together an amazing solo trip to Ecuador for me!

Prior to engaging Terra Sur Travels, I was a bit nervous about traveling alone to a new country during a pandemic, but I was in great hands with this concierge tour/travel agency. I provided them with a very loose overview of some of the sights I'd like to see and my target budget. They were able to put together a detailed itinerary along with suggestions that I wouldn't have discovered via my own research. All told, it was an amazing trip of a lifetime - which wouldn't have been the case without them. From the time I arrived late at night at Quito airport until the moment I arrived home 16 days later, I was in great hands.

For example, I took several flights during my trip and was escorted by a personally appointed driver through an oft-confusing airport check-in process (due to covid, Galapagos regulations, luggage scanning, customs, etc.) My drivers waited until I went through the security gates to ensure a completely smooth process each time.

Each morning, my guide arrived on time to pick me up and take me on a private, one-to-one tour of the cities on my itinerary. I had 4 very different and very capable guides during my trip - Guillermo, Sebastien, Christian (aka Christian 2) and Daniel. Their collective knowledge of the country's history, culture, architecture, nature/birds, art, etc. was amazing, and I enjoyed every minute I spent with them. I avoided the crowded & noisy bus scene and possible exposure to Covid in the process. I found them very flexible in terms of making last minute changes to my itinerary, sometimes asking them to help me find breakfast, specific chocolate bars, ATMs/banks, etc. They even managed to put together a tour the morning of my departure to explore the wonderful murals throughout the city of Quito. No request went unanswered.

During one part of my trip, I came down with a 2-3 day bout with altitude sickness which left me bed-ridden --- and I had to cancel my plans. It kinda stinks being sick in a country where you're traveling alone don't know anyone. I felt anything but alone - in fact, I was downright pampered during this time. Christian checked in with me and the hotel concierge on a regular basis to ensure that I was OK. My tour operator stopped by the hotel to see if I needed anything and the hotel staff showed up at my door bearing wondering gifts of teas, soups, etc. The kindness I experienced from these folks is not something you'd get from am American hotel chain or tour operator. On my next flight into Quito, Christian surprised me at the airport (to make sure I was OK) and invited me out to dinner with his partner the next night. I couldn't make the dinner, but found a delicious bottle of wine waiting for me - which I shared with one of my newfound friends from the trip. BTW, he also managed to rearrange my itinerary so that I got to see everything I missed while I was ill. It didn't lose any money, the tour operators were very accommodating and the pace was such, that I didn't overdue it & backslide health-wise.

The numerous World Heritage Sites, airports, sprawling cities and other attractions can be hours apart from one another & you don't want to drive here - the roads can very confusing, unlabeled and even my taxi driver (the one time I didn't use Terra Sur Travels) got very lost. It might take you an entire day to see one attraction, but if you work with a tour operator who knows the country and roads inside an out, It is worth your time & money to hire these folks. They will ensure that you get where you want to go as quickly and as smoothly as possible.

Their attention to detail, responsiveness, organization (it can be very hard to keep me on schedule &/or organize me - like herding feral cats), and constant checking in with me (feedback, updates, making sure everything was going smoothly, etc.) was reassuring & perfect.

I used Terra Sur Travels for my tours around Ecuador and they were nothing short of amazing. Angelica was very responsive from the start. She helped me book hotels in two locations, airport transportation, and land tours. On top of that she met me at my hotel to welcome me to Quito! I had a nice welcome bag in my hotel and I felt very welcomed. She kept in touch with me during my stay to make sure I had everything I needed and if I had any questions. She even recommended restaurants and places for me to visit while I had my free time in Quito. The service was above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. The tours she booked were amazing as well! I had such a great experience and I owe it all to Terra Sur. I would highly recommend using them for your travels around Ecuador. I hope to be back sooner than later and I will definitely use their service again and recommend to friends who are visiting Ecuador. 10 stars!

This was our first family trip to the Galapagos Islands and we had the most remarkable experience tour with Terra Sur Travels. At the beginning we were worried because this is a brand new tour operator company and we weren't sure about making our trip with them. But the way they helped us plan our trip, in such a personalized and friendly way, allowed us to take the opportunity and trust Terra Sur. It was very worth it!

Not only everything was the way we wanted during our accommodation in the luxurious Safari Camp, but also, in every moment, we learned something new about nature and wildlife the Galapagos has to offer. We felt a lot of relief for all the biosecurity meausres for Covid-19 and our guides truly cared about us, and did their best to make this trip memorable. We definitely will be back! Thanks a lot!
