I bought a vacuum cleaner two months …

I bought a vacuum cleaner two months ago and it stopped turning on. After talking to technical support, they asked me to try replacing the fuse. Since that didn't work, they forwarded me to talk to the manufacturer directly instead of taking care of the problem themselves. This is unacceptable:

- In their returns policy webpage they state clearly: "From 30 days after receipt of the goods until 12 months, we will arrange for a repair or replacement of the goods and, if this does not work, a refund."
- This is backed by the Sale and Supply of Goods Act, which states that this right is IN ADDITION to any warranty held by the manufacturer.

I got tired of arguing with Tesco so I took the manufacturer's phone number and I will call next working day, but this is the last time I ever buy anything on Tesco. I will buy on Amazon or any of the other dozens of online shops who care about the customer and give useful help.

We ordered some artificial grass, disgraceful service

We ordered some artificial grass, and it was to be delivered to our nearest Tesco express, as Iam disabled.
I paid some one 50.00 to do the work for me, and to collect the grass
When it was delv to the shop.
We had a message to say it would be delv to the shop on Wednesday, but would receive a text to say when it's arrived.
It's now Friday, no call, no text, I've e mailed 3 times, no response.
It's now cost he 50.00 I've got no grass, and the guy has gone.
Disgraceful

Fabulous after sales service 10/10

After initially having an issue (yet again with pretty poor packaging) i informed tesco direct customer services of the problem, they sorted the issue out without any fuss and with great patience and skill, their after sales customer service was outstanding a real credit to tesco for training their staff to react to situations like the one i pointed out, sadly in store when collecting the items i ordered yet again i was not asked for any ID i even at one point offered to show my ID which tesco direct specify whwn collecting any orders but i was told 'ah no need'...!

10/10 for tesco direct customer service

Ordered a sofa from Tesco Direct …

Ordered a sofa from Tesco Direct mid-June, and was given 35 working days for delivery. No communication at all in that time, and after 35 working days, my delivery status was still pending dispatch. My first call to them was fobbed off, and the following week, I was informed that due to a problem with sourcing the fabric, none of this model would be getting delivered before the 28th of August. Not a single email or call from anyone to alert me to this, I had to find out from some unfortunate customer service rep. Very unhappy, at I've spent the last two months in my new flat sitting on camping chairs. Tesco couldn't care less!

Tin open and paint everywhere

Tin open and paint everywhere
Just picked up my click and collect order and opened the box to find the lid of the tin is open and half the the contents are in the bag it was in. Guess the delivery guy didn't notice the fragile stickers everywhere and the keep upright notice. Unusable- looks a nice colour though

Mainly I buy the same foods here like …

Mainly I buy the same foods here like pasta poultry fruit. Yesterday I found some bananas that were very soft some even already unfit for selling and consumption in a basket separated from the good ones.

When bananas are speckled and soft traditionally these are a great buy for making banana fritter and or bread.

As these were in even poorer condition split bubbled up some speckled but usable if same day when I got them home.

I asked a member of staff if these were going to be reduced as the price was £0.90 she looked through them and said oh yeah most of them are gone aren't they ill ask the produce manager if we can reduce them.

She asked me which ones I wanted I picked 5 bags (large family!)
I noticed she picked up the whole crate with her I asked why she said to reduce them.
I had already snapped a picture as I was taken aback at the price verses condition so I said OK and waited.
Upon her return she stated the produce manager said this bag in her hand could be reduced by 50% but the rest of the crate could not be reduced as they were in a saleable condition.

I said your joking she said I'm really sorry but it's what he said I said no, shocked I opted to snap a pic of the visibly split off bananas and their ooze as she left the crate round the back and was told no and she wandered back towards where she had left the crate.

I have purchased bananas that are borderline ready to be disposed of from Morrisons & Asda on prior occasions and they have been reduced without request from as little as £0.10 to £0.56 condition dependant for larger bags.

I think Tesco need to recognise when a product is almost done you cannot sell it at retail price which I see as greed and waste as most people would not buy them and to be fair I almost guarantee those bananas went in the bin as opposed to have been purchased.

I feel as though you would rather waste food than sell it for what it's worth it would not break the bank nor policy a clear reminder of why I buy the same products repeatedly and mainly diesel and shop mainly with Morrisons and Asda.

It is apparent customer service value for money and condition of product is bottom of the list under profit.

I see why Tesco stores are possibly disappearing over the years also. I only wish there was an option to post a pic so iv opted to make it my profile pic for reference

Absolute shambles !

Absolute shambles !
I looked on their website about an hour ago because I wanted to buy a Toshiba 49" 4K TV.
I checked all the local stores, some of which stated "low stock" and some which said "stock". I picked one which was not the closest but about half an hours drive away as it said "stock". When I arrived I was told that they had none available, and that their online stock situation was about 48 hours behind. They wouldn't even let me order one in store to collect at a later date.
No apologies, complete lack of customer service on all fronts.
As I said, an absolute shambles of a company.

As easy as that!

Tesco Direct consists of many items. It is very easy to place an order, an the next day you pick it up for free at your Tesco store, which is very handy if you want it next day. There is also the Standard Delivery option, which I think is 3-5 business days by Royal Mail. Let's start with collection, Tesco will ship your collection by Yodel on Weekdays or by DPD if you order on a Saturday for Sunday delivery. You will receive a notification saying your item is ready for pickup, then you go down to your local store and pick it up! It is simple! Next up, delivery. Delivery (Standard) costs I think £3, which can be a bit irritating, that is why you should use the collection option. It is delivered straight to your door by Royal Mail and sometimes Yodel. I don't really have an opinion on couriers however DPD and Royal Mail are the best ones so let's hope you get them!

Overall, a really good experience with my shopping there. Why don't you try it?

Appalling collection service

Appalling collection service
Ordered goods for collection at local Express store. Had to wait 30 minutes for service. Then they could not find it in store. Told to come back later. On returning they had not found it and eventually store manager had to find it, then blamed staff. The shop was chaotic, with no organisation. Product returned poor quality

Damaged item, resolved quickly

We ordered a pair of wardrobes at a good price and they arrived quickly. However one was badly damaged. Their customer support was helpful and we received a replacement 48 hours later. Unfortunately we were left with the damaged item for several more days as collection was arranged separately.

Not aimed at Tesco but rather at Arrowxl the delivery company, terrible service. 3 delivery dates missed. Tesco need to consider using another company as it reflects on them.

awful checkout process

Yep, I have to agree with the majority of reviewers here who have given Tesco Direct one star - the website sucks. I tried to buy a laptop from them today. Ended up entering three credit card details and still couldn't get through the checkout. This was after going through the tedium of trying to login to an account I hadn't used since last year and having to reset the password twice.

I finally gave up, which means Tesco loses £500 on a sale they could have had if they bothered to sort their website out.

The worst online shopping experience to date in terms of a purely incompetent website. Terrible.

Not Rude, just incompetent

Though not Rude, they are incompetent.
I tried to order a cool box from their site on Sunday, I was informed that I couldn't do so because the item could not be delivered to my address (I wanted to click and collect). So I tried a different address and had the same issue. I contacted Tesco Direct and it took three days for a response saying they will look into the problem. The eventual closure of the issue was an email telling me that they don't know when the issue will be fixed, but I should keep checking the website to find out myself. Are people falling over themselves to shop at Tesco direct?

Anyway, I after reading the final email I went back online (much to my better judgement) and I was able to order the item! I was given an order number so I could click and collect only to have a following email informing me that there was an error on my order and that they will be processing a full refund, but it may take three to five days.

To be honest this experience is enough to put me off online shopping altogether let alone Tesco Direct. How a company can survive with this level of service is beyond me.

Worst Customer Service ever experienced

Ordered a Fridge freezer from Tesco Direct, suspect they were actually an agent for 3rd Party. During the delivery they damaged our floor dragging out the old one.
After months of communication, Tesco have denied responsibility since:
(a) We didn't report it until 3 days later having fruitlessly tried the delivery firm (and likely "real" supplier) first.
(b) A family member signed for the good condition of the new appliance. They took that to mean overall satisfaction.
For £50 more we could have bought from John Lewis who I suspect would have bent over backwards to come to an agreement.

discussing service and PP communication

Order item on the 15th June for delivery on the 21th.
Received voicemail 8.58 on the 21th, Item has not arrived for dispatch.
No update on the 21st or 22nd
Contacted customer service on 23rd, they could not advise anything and will look into it. update in the afternoon... we are still looking into it....
Monday 26th updated to say item will be delivered next Saturday.
customer service called Monday to say they are still looking into it.... with no delivery scheduled..... Called customer service on the 27th on same number as every other call, only now the can not answer my questions as "Customer care" are looking into the issue....
Simply discussing service and PP communication. I can only guess this is a totally outsourced online operation, managed by the cheapest bidder. I wish i read these reviews first, I would have paid the £30 more and gone to Homebase and would have been using my item for the last week!!!! BE WARNED.. DO NOT TRUST TESCO.. OMG!!! I have just checked the item and the price has gone up by £100, Yes this is a hot weather item, and we have a heat wave atm... Homebase are now £70 cheaper, but Tesco still have my £300.... I have opted to copy Tesco in this review, Order Number - 4KCM4MX8K
Little regards,
A VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER.

Tesco please help ref 4kc4c8qyh, not funny anymore.

Follow on from my previous review a few weeks ago. Unbelievable, still waiting for my item to be delivered. This is after 3 promises that the item was ready to be delivered. Emails to say when delivery was, but no communication to say that delivery was cancelled, 3 days taken off work. Think tesco are blaming the courier white arrow. Today was told that the delivery is ready to be booked again. If any one from tesco reads this please HElP me. Ref no 4KC4C8QYH.

I ordered a Manrose extractor (MF100T) …

I ordered a Manrose extractor (MF100T) for my bathroom. It was sent out by a "partner" but when I fitted it it didn't work. Went to parcel it up to return and realised the invoice wasn't even mine. It turns out this item was a faulty returned item that had been sent straight back out to me complete with the previous customers return form. Absolutely unbelievable! I now have to pay my electrician twice to fit this as I cannot expect him to carry out 2 hours work for nothing today. The tesco partner is Big on DIY
