Auto renewal scam !!!

I used GT since 2023, and it was smooth untill they decided to play around with the terms of payment. When our company need to do efficiency and cut cost, we cannot cancel the yearly subscription.

First because they provide no cancellation option in the account section, unlike many other platforms.

Second, even after the yearly auto-renewal I cannot login to find where should I go to cancel the subscription. I ended up replying their email and it's too late, the subscription has been auto renewed.

It felt more like a scam when it's renewed but I still can't login to use the test.

Be careful!!!

Misleading Subscription Practices – Beware

We used TestGorilla for its assessments, which are decent overall—the platform is reasonably user-friendly, and the tests themselves are fine for basic screening.

However, the subscription and billing model is completely predatory. There is no option for monthly billing—only annual subscriptions, which auto-renew without clear reminders. When we tried to cancel, their system threw errors, and despite contacting support on the same day the renewal charge went through, they refused to issue a refund.

This kind of rigid, opaque billing policy is unacceptable, especially for a SaaS company. Charging hundreds or thousands with no refund recourse (even within hours of renewal) shows a lack of integrity. It feels like they rely on people forgetting or running into technical issues in order to secure another year of fees.

The product might be passable, but the lack of transparency and fairness around billing is a deal-breaker. Proceed with caution—or look elsewhere if you value flexible, customer-friendly service.

We are sorry to hear that this was your experience. We understand that a lack of flexibility around billing can be frustrating, and we appreciate you sharing your concerns.

Our plans are an annual commitment, but we do offer the option of paying in monthly installments. We aim to be fully transparent about this on our pricing and checkout pages. We also send renewal reminders before the renewal date to give customers plenty of time to cancel.

Unethical Auto-Renewal and Refusal to Refund

We had a deeply disappointing experience with TestGorilla.

Our annual subscription ($990) was auto-renewed without any clear notice, and we couldn’t access our account due to a login issue. As a result, we were unable to cancel on time.

We contacted support immediately after the charge, explained the situation, and asked for a refund. Despite the obvious context and our clean payment history, we received a generic refusal citing their “no refund” policy.

Their support team acknowledged the issue but refused to take responsibility. Even though they advertise fairness and transparency, in reality, they enforce rigid policies and ignore reasonable customer concerns.

If you’re a business looking for a reliable and ethical service — think twice before committing to TestGorilla. Once they get your money, don’t expect flexibility, fairness, or customer care.

We regret using this platform and strongly discourage others from doing the same.

Our plans are an annual commitment. To help prevent unwanted renewals, we send reminders starting two months before the renewal date. We also aim to make our terms and conditions clear at the time of signup.

Deceptive Billing Practices – Avoid

TestGorilla made it extremely difficult to cancel our annual subscription. We were not given a clear opportunity to opt out before renewal, and after the term ended, they continued to charge us without consent. Unsubscribing was deliberately complicated. This is a manipulative and unethical billing practice. Stay away.

Testgorilla is a Fraudulent Company

This is a SCAM. Just be careful.
I have unsubscribed but my account's automatic renewal continues to be active. I strongly suspect that they will renew my subscription on the anniversary date of my contract. I have tried to contact them but there is no followup.
Be aware that, if you cancel in the middle of your contract, there is NO REFUND.
This is a fraudulent company.

SIMPLY AVOID

Be aware that you cannot trust this guys: they settled a trap in the terms of service, that if you don't cancel the service with 10 days prior to the term, they will renew automatically the service and will claim for the payment even if you don't want to procceed to another year of subscription.
The emails with the renewal notice, don't mention any of this.
Totally unfair trading.
SIMPLY AVOID.

Unethical Billing Practices & Poor Customer Support

We were unexpectedly charged for another year of TestGorilla, despite not having used the platform for two years. We weren’t even aware that the subscription was still active, and their excuse for the delay in resolving this issue is that it's "with the billing department." It's been four months, and we still haven’t received a refund.
This is incredibly frustrating and feels like a predatory billing practice. A platform that values its customers would at least send a renewal reminder or make it easier to cancel unused subscriptions. Instead, we’re stuck chasing a refund for a service we didn’t intend to use.
If you’re considering TestGorilla, beware of their auto-renewal policy and the lack of transparency in their billing process. We’re extremely disappointed with their customer service and the way this has been handled.
