I had a very disappointing experience with Teya. My business account was suddenly closed without any clear explanation. When I asked for the reason, I was simply referred to “Clause 6.3” in their terms and conditions, without any specific clarification about what issue applied to my account.
On top of that, I have been informed that my funds will be held for 180 days. For any business owner, this is extremely concerning. Cash flow is critical, and holding funds for six months without proper explanation creates serious financial pressure.
Transparency and communication are essential when dealing with merchants’ money. Unfortunately, in my case, there was neither.
In my opinion, if you are running a small retail shop with simple transactions, it may work for you. However, for service-based or higher-volume businesses, I would strongly recommend carefully considering the risks before choosing Teya as your payment provider.

Team at Teya were first class.Immediate responses and back up service.T and Cs and rates very competitive and no hidden agendas. Handsets very quick taking payment and we have 9 handsets all easy to set up but help is at hand if not handy with software date uploads.

Everything was going well, until someone tried to hack our account. We instantly notified Teya, advising them what was happening and not to change anything on our account. Numerous phone calls and emails sent over a couple of days. We were told that nothing would be changed. A few days later our account number on our settlement reports had been altered, our money paid somewhere else. Also locked out of our account. More phone calls and emails sent. Every email you get from them contradicts what we have said, they don't listen. Nearly 3 weeks later nothing has been sorted. We keep getting told we are looking into it.
Please think very carefully before going with Teya, they are not interested in their customers.
