I have No nice words for this

They do not allow to withdraw your photocard application. If you made an error in it, they will tell you this will be corrected- you wait. Than they willl tell you, they won’t allow you to correct it to help you with your application. If you dare to complain about it, they will extend your application time so you will need to wait longer till it expires. The manager actually even call you to leave a voicemail and ask how are you doing, how are you getting on with your application knowing already that until the error is corrected you are not going anywhere with your application. In the meantime you will pay full price fees no matter your entitlement.
Apart from this, too much delays and cancellations, overground constantly with these issues ( I’m dreading the station nearest to me); trains overcrowded during peak times, dirty seats, the gust of dust blowing up your nostrils than conditioner is on; not sure to help you or all the way round ( depends I guess if you have asthma or allergies or so); you might actually even spot a rodent without looking hard running around at some station; I saw it on a train a couple times throughout the years too; ridiculous compensation for cancellations/ delays ( a measly refund for particular travel of the journey).Oh and also, if u create online oyster account you won’t be able to delete it or change your bank card details that easily- if at all. Out of proportions fees, especially for the level of service they provide.

Useless customer service

I would give zero if there was. TFL telephone customer service is absolutely rubbish. I called them yesterday for getting a refund which had occurred due to train cancellation two weeks ago but I couldn't succeed after being on the phone with them for over an hour and half. Just called them again today to follow up but the lady on the phone who was seemingly answering from her home was so reluctant to even talk as she was purposely keeping her voice low or going silent repeatedly on and off just to prentend there is issue with the line and to make me put off with no outcome. She finally hang up the phone on me after I complained why her other colleague gave me wrong info yesterday by wasting my time unreasonably...
It's so upsetting to be treated like this. They definitely need basic trainings of how to communicate with customers first and learning basic knowledge about their job. They are probably assigned in the jobs with no essential training whatsoever and here it's the outcome. Bring your customer service staff back to office as they don't work properly from their homes without being supervised properly, they just waste time and damage your company's reputation as a result. They are totally useless for a simple task. So frustrating!

Poor service!

It is very cold in central line. Why are you on strike? What do you do with the money? You are a total shame!

If i could give TFL 0 stars i would

If i could give TFL 0 stars i would. I HATE TFL! I’m a 19 year old student, paying £13.40 every day to get to uni. And a student oyster card or railcard do not discount my ticket at all, unless i’m going outside of London. The other day i was charged £6.40 on the TRAM? Really?? I’ve taken tram for all 19 years of my life and that is the most ridiculous thing ever. Honestly TFL is the worst, most money-grabbing system that exists. My grandpa used to work for TFL for over 20 years and this is the repayment we get. TFL scams the public, not to mention the poor quality of train service, toilets and underpaid workers. Seriously scrap TFL! And put in place a new system. Yuk.

Constant cancelled trains

The 7:00 am train from St Margarets to Waterloo gets cancelled every other day, only 2 to 3 minutes before it is due, so you have paid your ticket, and the reason is: overrunning ingeneering works. They didn't finish on time! Every week, at least 2 days or 3, this happens. They really don't care.

TFL rip off

I visited London and attempted to pay the £15 charge. Due to issues with the website I was unable to pay but paid following day £15. I have just received a payment charge for £90. As I had proof of payment I called the number to speak to TFL I was advised that this payment should have been £17.50 . This was not made clear when I the payment was paid . Just paid the £90 and requested the £15 back but was told this was non refundable. What a joke !!!! I wonder how many other people have lost £15 maybe that goes towards the mayors Christmas party

Thieving

If I could score 0 I would.
I struggled to make payment for congestion after trying multiple times etc I managed to pay the following day. Still stating I pay £15. It was not made clear that the charge went up to £17.50 as it was outside of 24hrs time frame even though I put my registration number in. You’d like to think in a day and age where everything is online and machine oriented it would have calculated that in-fact the due payment would have been £17.50. But NO! I then have a letter through to say I need to now pay £90. So I called up and actually spoke to someone (of course they can speak to you when taking money for a fine) and they explained and was very helpful I have to say. However. They explained to me that I have to pay the £90 and I can’t just pay the £2.50 extra. And on top you don’t get your £15 back which you innocently paid. Honestly talk about thieving. Feel a bit mugged off paying £105 to drive through a patch of tarmac in London.

Big money spinner for TFL.

Big money spinner for TFL.
Received a penalty charge notice for my company car. They won't talk to me as I don't own the car and have now doubled the fine to £240 for non paynent. Called to pay and got another story. Can only assume its being run by relatives of the Crays.

Over charging, broken.

Over charging, they don’t keep track of what or when they charge you. Hard to reach and almost impossible to get a fair refund. I got charged over £50 within a week because the gate’s didn’t register me tapping in, only out, so they charged £9.40 each time.

London will rinse you in any way shape…

London will rinse you in any way shape or form that they can. TFL my bike broke down and I wasn’t allowed on the tube coz it was rush hour! What! No exceptions, I can murder someone in this country and they’ll be exceptions and special defences for me. Brake down in london TFL will offer no exception to this. This is why I’m proud to be northern and the reason I bike. And will continue to do so when my bike is on the mend :)

TfL are awful. It’s disgusting we pay for this. Waiting for a 493 bus for an hour, poor old couple with walking sticks didn’t know what to do so they got on another bus, I took a Uber in the end.

Awful website, staff talk to you like you are an idiot

Trying to renew my blue badge discount for Transport for London. Blue badge renewals have a backlog so my discount expired as they needed my new badge before I could renew.

I have two letters from Transport for London telling me how easy it is to renew and that I can renew upto 90 days after expiry without paying the £10 fee.

I follow the link to the website and there is an option to "Apply or renew", click this link and there is no option to renew, just apply for £10.

Try phoning the number on the website and it just gives you options about speaking to them about Oyster card.

Phone the number on the letter and get told my discount has expired and I should renew before it expires. Explain I can't do that because blue badge has taken until now to arrive.

So I'm told I just need to click the apply button which says it will cost £10 but this won't charge me £10 because I'm renewing within 90 days.

Told him it would be useful if it gave this information on the site, rather than making it look like you'd be charged £10. So he told me I need to enter my account number and blue badge number to apply. Told him again, yes I'm not an idiot I know how to apply, but I'm telling you that you should have something on the site saying it won't charge £10. again, he told me that because I'm applying within 90 to renew I won't be charged. Again told him I understand that but they should have something online that says that.

A simple thing that should have taken me about 1 minute to renew has taken over an hour because of a bad website, no relevant options on the phone number given and useless staff who just read from a script rather than using common sense and actually listening to what you are saying.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever. 8 years ago when I moved to London the service was great, right now if I could I would give 0 stars.
Delays everyday, strikes, the service is slow and most of the time there is not even space for standing.

Track-Noise on London Underground

TfL must warn its passengers to protect the hearing of Babies, Children, Pets and Service Dogs from the Track-Noise on the London Underground.

The screeching track-noise on journeys remains unbearably loud for passengers on the Victoria, Central and Northern Lines.

Its been worsening each year and TfL’s noise reduction initiatives have seemingly failed to address the problem in all this time.

NHS Audiologists have raised concerns on BBC News back in 2019, and citizens have filed formal complaints to no avail, recently my iphone recorded 103 decibels on the Victoria Line.

Ear-defenders cannot even block out the high-pitch screeching track noise from my experience, which evidently highlights the severity of the issue.

You can find my petition on the Change website by searching:

TfL should warn its passengers to protect hearing from Track-Noise on London Underground.
