Terrible service

Terrible service

Terrible service — the only thing that works is the subscription payment.

I switched to their competitor, Magic Bag Tracker, which is the complete opposite of this service. Everything works perfectly, and their customer support is excellent!

Last alert received on September 15

Last alert received on September 15. Since then no alerts received. There were a lot of useful bags I missed. Also no response when asked for support. "We will answer within 24 hours" One big joke. They will never answer. Their collecting monthly payments software however is functioning without problems. Refunds are not given. Am I the only one? No, for sure.

Half the time it doesn't work

Half the time it doesn't work. Either the website with locations of alerts is nonstop loading or it doesn't reserve bags that are available. I've had better luck setting my alarm for checkback times and snagging items that way. I also don't receive email notifications half the time. They also never respond to emails about issues with the site.

Impressively bad app

I have the highest level of subscription ("Intensive") and after attempting to use it for about 2 months, I can say with certainty that it very rarely works as promised/advertised.

It doesn't scan often enough to reserve popular bags before they're snapped up (once in a while it succeeds, no doubt when its infrequent scans luckily happen to hit at the right moment).

If a bag is snapped up before TGTG-Alerts happens to scan, it won't even notify you that it ever was posted. So if you're trying to identify when a popular business tends to post bags, it's useless for that too.

In one place it advertises scanning 24 hours a day, but in another it discloses that it doesn't notify you of anything from midnight to 7 am. (Turns out it also doesn't execute autobookings during those hours; it's simply doing nothing 7 hours a day.) Then at 7 am you're notified of everything that posted overnight (IF it's still available) as if it had just happened.

Yesterday I requested an autobooking at 1:30 pm. When I checked the TGTG app at 8 pm, that business had 6 bags available... But TGTG-Alerts hadn't booked me one OR even sent me a notification that the bags were available! But it eventually did notify me bags were available - at 7:00 this morning!

Their competitor, Magic Bag Tracker, on the other hand DOES work (though it's a lot more expensive - about TRIPLE the cost, depending on service level you choose! - and restrictive about how many reservations and notifications you can have per month).

Never works

It does not work if someone has subscribed before you, Even with paid subscription you never get the basket or the alert, the previous subscriber gets it all. 3 baskets went by, never got an alert, or automatic purchase, nothing.👎🏻

Good idea but horrible service.

The idea of it is great and is quite usable, sadly it's just way too slow. The amount of intervals in which Too Good To Go gets scanned are far too little. I have bought a plan for the auto booking feature and it's basically not working. Other manual users are way faster than me. The auto booking feature is only working for things that aren't sold out in less than 10 minutes. It would've been really easy to just increase the intervals, make everything faster. I would even pay extra for that! Instead they make a half-finished product that is really slow and sell it for incredibly cheap.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from it. They don't care about the users and only about the money. Yet they are not even able to make simple business decisions that will make their product popular. It's just another occassion of unskilled people trying to accomplish something without ever reflecting on what they are actually doing. Just pathetic.

Poor service

Yes it works, but I had quite a few problems. No response to multiple emails! Even for paid customers. I started hosting my own TGTG alert using GitHub. Works like a charm and free.

Got bags from Morrisons and Costa Coffee easily

I used to check Too Good To Go all the time and still missed out on Morrisons bags. Now with TGTG Alerts, I’ve managed to grab bags from both Morrisons and Costa Coffee without stressing. It’s quick and makes the whole process hassle-free.

Great for high-demand spots like Pret

Where I live, Pret A Manger magic bags sell out in seconds, so I never stood a chance before. TGTG Alerts sent me a notification, and by the time I clicked, it was already booked! It’s not perfect—sometimes the timing is off—but I’ve managed to grab Pret bags twice this month, which never happened

A leopard can't change its spots

It’s been three years since I last tried using TGTG Alerts, and it seems like the problems are still the same. Despite subscribing to the paid version, the much-praised and useful auto-booking feature for bags doesn’t work at all. I’ve tried multiple credit cards, but nothing works.
And of course, despite reaching out to their support team, no one responds.
In short: it’s been three years, and the situation is still the same.
Such a shame — I thought something would have changed by now!

Service not working and no customer services reply

The automatic purchases do not work.
I wrote the customer service attaching evidences where bags are available for one hour and the automatic purchase is not executed on my behalf.
Despite i wrote several mails with additional evidences of the non working service, I did not get any answer so far.
Unfortunately i had to write the company again and ask for a reimbursement but no reply.

Stopped working, no answer from tgtg alerts on Facebook

Like other complaining above me- same problem- it worked very well, than some weeks ago it stopped.

I tried everything - an other credit card, restart the connection between tgtgt alerts and my tgtg account, you name it, I tried it.

No answers to messages via Facebook (the official helpline).
I stopped the contract now to the end of this billing period. Hopefully this works.
I paid 3 months the highest price just for telegram messages.
Sorry, it feels like a ripe off.

Scam!!!

I am extremely disappointed with TGTG Alert. Despite paying for the advanced features, the automatic alerts never worked as promised.

To make matters worse, I reached out to customer service multiple times, but it felt like I was shouting into the void—no response whatsoever.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service.

Not What They Say They Are

I have no idea what happened to tgtg alerts. They used to auto book my bags, no problem. I was happy and had no problem paying their fee, but what happened??? Now they won’t book for me at all and I am paying for the top tier program. I get alerts for places I want in email, but they don’t ever book it anymore. I’m about done with paying them for an email notification. I don’t need to pay for that, nor do I want to. And emails to them are a waste of time. They don’t bother answering. My advice now to newcomers is way different then months past. If you’re considering joining and checking the reviews here, I wouldn’t do it. They don’t do what they say they will and don’t answer emails. Look elsewhere.

It’s amazing to me that a company can see nothing but negative reviews here lately and still not address a single complaint.

Poor customer service. Would not recommend payed subscription

I am extremely disappointed with TGTG Alert. I have contacted them multiple times through Facebook and the email address listed on their website regarding the issue of not be able to connect my phone number for Telegram notifications.
I even included screenshots to illustrate the problem. However, they have completely stopped responding. They do not reply to messages on Facebook either. Despite this lack of support, they continue to charge me. This will be the last month I use this service. I am very disappointed and cannot recommend TGTG Alert to anyone
