Thai e-Visa System: Opaque, Arbitrary, and Bordering on a Scam.

A warning to all travelers. My experience with the official Thai e-Visa portal has been appalling. This is not just a case of a rejected application; it is about the way the entire procedure is managed, which borders on deceptive.
I submitted my application, paid the non-refundable fee, and waited. The outcome? A flat rejection with zero explanation, no request for clarification, and no opportunity to provide missing documentation. No 'Need Revision' notice, no support—simply a 'Finished' status, which effectively means 'we have taken your money and closed your case arbitrarily.'
It is unacceptable for a government system to operate with such a complete lack of transparency. There is no helpful support channel, no possibility of appeal, and no accountability. You are essentially playing a lottery: you pay significant money for a service that provides no assistance and keeps your fee even in the event of an unjustified rejection.
This type of management, in this day and age, is shameful and deeply unfair to those who simply wish to visit the country. Be warned: this system takes your money without guaranteeing any service. Stay away or be prepared to lose your funds for no reason.
