If I could give ZERO I would!!!!
Got boat yesterday from London City Pier, member of staff, I think called John (American or Canadian) was moaning to another member of staff whilst we & others were standing there waiting to ask questions/get tickets, totally ignored us all until he’d finished & then was incredibly miserable & unhelpful.
We were going to Millbank and confirmed it was right boat RB6, but once on staff member read out stops but did NOT mention Millbank so we asked another staff member who said no not stopping at Millbank & to go to Vauxhall, boat then proceeded to stop at Millbank!!!!
Coming home the ticket machine at Millbank wasn’t working, the timetable shown was totally incorrect & when boat arrived it was only going to Westminster due to tide.
Again another member of staff incredibly unhelpful. As no information given everyone wanted to check if it was the correct boat and all he was bothered about was getting everyone onboard. My husband has an over 60s card and had no idea how to get a ticket as there was no one at Millbank to ask and the boatman was too hurried.
The boats are great & very comfortable but some of the staff & total lack of info spoilt the whole thing!
i bought ticket for the wrong date. but Trisha changed it without hassle very quickly. Super happy !

I feel the need to leave a public review as I have had no joy contacting Uber Boat twice via email to resolve my issue.
I was due to travel on the Thames Clipper at 11am from Greenwich to Embankment last Wednesday. The worker at the pier scanned my tickets (I was travelling in a group of 4) only to then announce ten minutes later that the service was cancelled! The next one wouldn't be due for at least 20 minutes. As we were on our way to an appointment, we had to rush off and catch the DLR instead. I asked the worker (Chloe) to refund my tickets and she said that I would need to email Thames Clipper directly and gave me an email address. That email subsequently bounced back. I contacted them again through their site and am yet to hear back. I urge them to get in touch and give me the refund. I am £56 out of pocket due to this last-minute cancelled ticket and poor customer service. It was claimed to be a 'technical fault' but I am mighty sceptical as THREE clippers were used to transfer Viking cruise travellers to their cruise ship within the space of 15 mins as we were waiting for our service.

Staff non cooperative at greenwich pier Were not ready to assist us and other Indian family with us. Missed ferry twice. Didn't allow us to wait near the boarding point when we missed the first ferry stating that the tapping is time bound and made us wait at exact same spot when we were not allowed the 2nd time.

Always prepared with an excuse, cancelling services, can't fix their digital board, different schedules across different phone operating systems, and staff members that don't wait at the pier even though they are early, but they will always take extra time at Barking Riverside to smoke or scroll on their phone.

Was on a short trip to Rotherhithe, London, and did not know about the Uber Boat pre visit (unfortunately). I’m glad, I found out about it. They made visiting the different sites a lot easier. I don’t know, if Uber does this, from time to time, but the crew found out, that I was going to Rotherhithe, where the boat does not normally stop, but did it anyway, after learning, that I was going there (again… it could be unrelated to that, but I like to think, that was the reason). The crew were so polite, and the bar was well equipped… what’s not to like? 😊
Thank you for a great time in London.
See you again in the autumn 👍

Used the uber boat as a family of 7, 1 whom is disabled. Tahi, I hope I spelled his name correctly went above and beyond to help us. He was amazing. The trip was great and he made it a 5 star experience. Thank you.

A few things, we got the day ticket which does give you freedom to go up and ow the themes.
But we changed boat due to high tide, them again told to get on an early boat for low tide; which was fine for us but the last boat os up for change.
The boat back to Greenwich had no working toilets with them being closed
So, it sounds good but you need to compromise at times.

RB1 on Sat 11.07.26 for 5:42pm NEVER showed up. We ended up getting an uber and nearly late for a show. It said online it arrived on time but it never did. Disgraceful.

I would not write this review if the disappointment and consistent lack of service were not present. My latest trip on 8th July 2026 from Embankment to North Greenwich concluded in a similar manner. There was no information available on the boards as they were not functioning. The representative at the gate was unable to answer any questions beyond directing passengers to the platform which provided no assistance as an adult can see myself. The arrival boat was scheduled to North Greenwich. I scanned my credit card for the journey. A few minutes before Canary Wharf was announced, the boat terminated there without warning or explanation. All passengers were disembarked and were asked for assistance in finding the next boat. No crew member could provide an answer. The Canary Wharf pier also did not display the schedule. The next boat arrived and, despite the obvious empty seats, all waiting passengers were informed that it was full. When I asked when the next boat would be available, I was met with no response. I subsequently walked to the tube station to complete my journey and was charged for the unfinished trip plus an additional fare for my tube ride. While other reviewers commend the staff, I have found them to be arrogant and unhelpful. I had a similar experience in the past and was hopeful it was an isolated incident. However, this behaviour is a consistent pattern. I would advise against using this service as since Uber toke this ownership . It appears to be designed for tourists who are unable to fully comprehend the situation, but for Londoners it is not suitable. Sad and disappointing.

I bought Uber Boat tickets online for Sunday, 5 July, expecting to be able to board. When we arrived, there were no spaces available. We waited for over an hour with my 18-month-old baby and 9-year-old son, hoping to get on, but every boat was full and we had no chance of boarding.
In the end, we had to leave without using our tickets, meaning we never made it to Battersea Power Station, and our £17.55 was completely wasted.
What makes this even worse is that I emailed Uber Boat several times on Sunday explaining the situation and requesting a refund because our tickets were never used. I have been completely ignored and have received no response at all.
Uber Boat should not be selling tickets online if there is no capacity for passengers to board. Selling tickets without guaranteeing any availability is extremely misleading and leaves families stranded.
I am very disappointed with both the service and the lack of customer support. I am simply asking for a refund for tickets that were never used. Hopefully someone from Uber Boat will finally respond and resolve this matter.

We bought a 1-day Hop-on Hop-off for three adults (via their website) a month in advance, and were offered this with a discount of £12.75. Our ticket was checked as we boarded, then again on-board. A little later a new crew joined and when they checked our ticket they said there was an underpayment on our ticket and insisted we owed them £12.75 !!! We had all the emails and receipts but they just argued with us. The dispute went on for 15 minutes in front of a boat full of passengers. We were humiliated and forced to pay. (Having seen your reply .. I have indeed sent formal complaints including all the details to the address we requested from your staff, to your online feedback and to a consumer watchdog because the advice I've seen suggests that demanding back a discount that you promised us (and recorded on our receipt to be an advanced purchase promotion), that you accepted payment for and that you issued tickets for, would be a blatant breach of contract.)

Bought 2 tickets thru the app. They disappeared moments before boarding. Had to buy a new pair on the spot which are more expensive. Support thru the app is non existent to get my refund
That's beside the waiting time, almost 50 minutes.
Won't be using Uber boat again.

This had to be the worst experience I had with travelling across London. We bought 3 expensive tickets through the machine. When the boat arrived a bunch a youngster jumped the queue and we were not allowed to go in. The next boat never turned up which meant waiting another 35 mins for another one. I was with my 77 years old mum which had been standing for over 1 hour by then. We had to leave as it was by then 10pm. Still waiting for an answer to find out if we can get our money back as my mum was returning home the next day and could not use the expensive and very unreliable service. Would not recommend and will not use again as customer service has been just as terrible so far.

Service is very irregular, leaving late or early, complete disregard for tickets, reservations...
The boat we booked left 15 mins early and left us on the pier while we were at 3 meters away from the boat and we were almost shouting at them, as they had absolutely no reaction to 4 people wanting to board. Three meters.
The pier assistant confirmed that was our boat, he had no idea why it left early and why it didn't pick us up (he specifically said it didn't look so crowded so it couldn't have been too crowded).
The customer Service persons are useless, they only know what's written in the official schedule, not interested in what really happened. Whatever details I gave him he didn't budge from his script.
Appalling service and treatment is an understatement, given that on our wedding anniversary we had to deal with this.
Do not be curious about the Uber boat, it's a huge waste of money and time. Just take a normal Uber car and get to where you need.
