We currently use a number of Access products (finance, budgets, people) and I can see there have been a number of improvements recently across these products. I had a very helpful call with our customer success manger, Dannimarie recently, which highlighted a number of areas that have been improved and demonstrated how we could use them better, including custom reporting. She also listened to areas of frustration for us and showed us alternative solutions.

I had Central Bank Training delivered from Julie Roberts on Teams in August, and then a follow up meeting in October to see how I was getting on.
On both Occasions Julie was very thorough and was highly knowledgeable with Access Finance and supported me in every step of the process. She was very helpful and answered all my questions and I left feeling confident in completing central bank recs.
I will definitely request Julie for any further training I may require, as it is daunting at first changing system processes, but Julies calm and approachable manner made it very easy. Thank you, Julie,

As always, Julie works through our training needs with great knowledge of the Access finance system and, importantly, an understanding of Accountancy practice. By using the live system, Julie is able to demonstrate training directly within our platform and can run relevant reports to be used for our greater understanding of the system.

Julie is personable, professional and patient. She considers her audience well, listening carefully to the difficulties/uncertainties experienced by staff and then offering clear, concise solutions with a follow up email listing relevant webinars, user guides or documents to support the training.

The training we received is greatly valued by all in our Trust finance team from apprentice to CFO.

We had a fantastic session today with Rory Heslin, who shared some brilliant updates on the improved functionality within Access Budgets and Consolidated Budgets software. These enhancements will be a real time-saver for our Business Managers and Central Finance team.
Rory kindly joined us at short notice, and his insight was incredibly helpful. As always, Julie Roberts went above and beyond—ensuring we made the most of our time together and covered a huge amount in just a few hours. Really appreciated the support from both Rory and Julie!

Our experience with Volcanic has been profoundly disappointing. I strongly advise others to avoid this company. Throughout our collaboration, we encountered significant issues at nearly every stage that required formal complaints.

Volcanic mishandled our contract from the outset, ultimately granting us a 50% discount on their premium package due to internal errors. When the finance department issued invoices with the wrong details of our company, they neglected to amend them until we threatened to withhold payment.

The assigned designer appeared to be junior with limited design and coding expertise, resulting in substandard deliverables. At launch, the project was delayed and riddled with errors. We had to submit over 300 change requests to correct fundamental mistakes.

In our view, Volcanic’s service model prioritizes sales over substance. Their offering feels like a cash grab masked by a polished pitch. If you value professionalism, transparency, and timely delivery, I recommend steering clear of this company.

The person allocated to support the migration was fantastic - Vlad Jurcut. We had (and still have) problems with the training modules appearing so Vlad contacted me to offer some one to one training on the system which was great and much needed.

Experience with Consultant Julie Roberts - Julie has been amazing in her support with our Academy's transition to the DfE Chart of Accounts. Julie is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in all Education Finance matters and our transition has been seamless. I was initially concerned with changing our Chart of Accounts however Julie supported us every step of the way. We have now adopted the new structure and Julie has remained on hand to support with the system set-up ready for the new financial year. Thank you Julie!

Paul has been pivotal in making our finance processes more streamlined and efficient. He has been extremely engaging and has made some great suggestions on ways of working on Access. Any changes that have been made, Paul has always followed up to ensure all is working correctly and, where there have been issues, he has taken these away, resolved them in the background in a very timely fashion

The Trust has been supported by Vlad Jurcut whilst we train and roll out the new finance software. Vlad's training sessions are very informative and time is given to answer questions at every stage. He is patient as always answers our queries through demonstration. Nothing has been too much trouble and we are looking forward to working with Vlad as we continue to transition in the coming weeks.

We onboarded our new finance software during the school Summer holidays and despite a few scheduling hiccups for our training sessions - these associated with annual leave commitments - Vlad Jurcut accommodated our request to change sessions and then went above and beyond to help us with our set up. We are still in the process of completing the transition to the new software but initial feedback from the finance team at our trust is very positive. We are looking forward to learning more and are confident that Vlad will enable a smooth transition - he has been calm and patient throughout the process and all questions have been answered well or he has sought advice from colleagues when necessary.

We achieved our objectives and more during this meeting. Consultant Julie Roberts facilitated the session effectively, making the exercise straightforward and easy for my team to understand. Her expertise in the subject matter, along with her comprehensive knowledge of Access Finance, was impressive and greatly appreciated. I sincerely commend her professionalism and support.

The Finance Year-End Training provided by Julie Roberts on 12/8/25 was well-structured and informative. Julie's understanding of financial reporting and year-end procedures is clear and very relevant. As always, Julie was professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

We had an issue with not being able to report segmental data in our Finance system. The Access team worked with us to create a bespoke report, using their data engine, for us which was a game-changer for our reporting time-frame.

Our Finance team have spent a very valuable 2 days with David Emmerson reviewing our processes to see where we can make improvements and efficiencies to our day to day tasks. David's knowledge of the Access systems is outstanding. He has been great to work with and we would highly recommend his services. We look forward to working with David again in the future.

Implementation of the integrated social care case management and finance system, Mosaic. The project management support provided to the implementation by The Access Group (Martin Weaver) was excellent and the overall implementation experience was good.

Since joining Cochran I have had very little need to contact Access with regard to our Dimensions Finance System. All issues I have raised were quickly resolved. I have also been asked by one of the Finance team to add an extra module to our offering, this too was implemented with no issue.
I am very happy with the system and with the exception of minor user problems we have had no real issues with the software.

Our Finance team had a training session recently with David. He was incredibly knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of useful tips to get the most out of the system, to help drive efficiencies and make some tasks more automated. There were certain parts he showed us which we hadn’t been aware that we could do previously, so it was great to have his valued input. He came across very helpful and approachable and he really explained the steps well during the training. He provided useful solutions which we will take on board going forward. David went over and above for us. I would highly recommend his services.

Vlad Jurcut is my trainer online for the Access Finance module. I find that I do not understand some of the words he says / pronounces and I am grateful that a recording is made of the training session so that I can listen to it again. He is very pleasant and friendly.

Excellent training and consistent communication provided by Vlad. Vlad has kept in-touch with me at every stage during our transition from FMS to Access Finance, making the process much more streamlined.

I have further training next week, which I'm thoroughly looking forward to.
