Well organized and looked after the…
Well organized and looked after the whole group. First time booking with them and won’t be the last 👍
Premium Mexico Yucatan Highlights - 8 Days
All around, a great little group and a very nice tour of the Yucatan from Intrepid. Some wonderful hotels, some quickly forgetable. Some truly excellent food, but also some really terrible coffee. A bit of everything.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and super cheery. They set the days agenda more than once without asking us, ie if we'd like to eat breakfast at the hotel before we set off. As we were only a small group of 5, this could have been handled more democratically. We were all on holiday after all.
My biggest gripe, which lost this tour a star, was the transportation. Many hours and kms were spent inside our VW T5 van. It was quite new, very clean, but the lowest interior trim line possible meant sitting on simple bench seats for long periods of time. This tour was billed as "Premium." The transportation was not. At least bucket seats would have been appreciated.
This trip was an absolute highlight
This trip was an absolute highlight. Our leader, Tess, was knowledgeable, providing insightful facts about Australia while being a joy to travel with. The activities were engaging, and the hostels were both clean and conveniently located. I especially appreciated the itinerary, which took all the stress out of planning. With a group size of 23—predominantly female—the experience felt very comfortable and well-organized. I highly recommend this tour.
Don't bother, just book local.
While the headline activities were fine I was quite disappointed by the role of The Adventure People in coordinating everything. It appears that TAP hands off oversight and coordination of their programs to a local partner, with poor coordination. The whole point of an organization like the Adventure People is to be a trustworthy and accountable partner that you can interact with easily to book an adventure. On my trip several things went wrong. The airport transfer I booked was not there (or didn't have my name). I booked a safari camping experience but then was put in a bad motel room, and TAP are arguing that this was an "upgrade". Finally, when you go to get in touch with TAP you'll find that their phone number rarely gets you a human on the other end, and their "Chat Now" feature only works limited hours. Overall next time I want a wild adventure I'm going to book through a local partner, rather than The Adventure People.
EBC Trek
Excellent staff, well planned itinerary, knowledgeable guides, perfect for any adventurous people. Would highly recommend .
Everest Base Camp trek
I recently completed an Everest Base Camp trek with The Adventure People. Everyone, from management to lead guide to porters exceeded my expectations. They were knowledgeable and flexible to manage the needs of the individual participants on the trek. A positive life changing experience. Highly recommend!!
Very efficient and friendly…
Very efficient and friendly communication with your company right from the beginning of booking our trip back in September 2025. Nothing seemed too much to ask you to organise!
I booked with the Adventure People for EBC
I booked with the Adventure People for a 14 day EBC trek and I can easily say this was one of the best experiences of my life. The customer service and attentiveness of all the staff I encountered both on the trip and via email prior to the trip were excellent. Special shout outs to Prakash, Parashu, Indira, Neerjala and Pravin.
Used Adventure people for EBC Trek
Used Adventure people for EBC Trek, would highly reccomended. Organised well, great and helpful guides! Only annoyance, was the long drive from Kathmandu to Ramada Airport for flights to and from Lukla, but roads damaged in landslides so no fault with the company.
IGUAZU falls 2 night package
We did a 2 night, 3 day trip to Iguazu Falls (from Buenos Aires?
Apart from the heavenly waterfall complex and scenery, what made the trip was Chris's attentiveness and helpfulness as our guide from start to finish. She made us feel very welcome, safe and her hospitality was great. She took us to the Brazilian side of Iguazu one day, and the Argentinan side on the other day. All the national park staff know her. She knows the parks in ever season and every water level. The hotel was comfortable. The package was overall great.
My first solo holiday
As my first solo holiday, booking through The Adventure People took the stress away. Due to the issues in the middle east at the beginning of March, with a week to go my flights were affected but Anna was fantastic, she listened to my preferred option of cancelling and looking at a different airline/ routing and it was resolved within a day or two. That aside, overall my experience from start to end was fantastic and I would absolutely book again with The Adventure People 🙂
Our leader Ismail Aberghouss
Real Food Adventure, trip code XMZF260403, dept. 260403. Our leader, Ismail Aberghouss, and our driver, took *excellent* care of us—100% confidence in our safety in their care.
The territory covered was varied & fascinating, with details provided about the areas. The special activities—cooking demonstrations and class, walks and hike, were fun and informative. All needs accommodated, all problems smoothed over.
Overall good trip
First trip with G Adventures
First trip with G Adventures. The two guides for the Portugal trip were knowledgeable, a wealth of information which allowed freedom of travel on our free days and fun group activities on other days. They are now part of my repertoire travel companies - highly recommend.
Great customer service
Anna was really helpful advising on holidays and my options. My original planned trip was cancelled due to events in the Middle East. Anna reached out promptly and helped me decide on an alternative. She kept me informed of the operator’s policy and quickly got me booked on a new trip as soon as this was possible.
My actual trip was fabulous, great group, great guide and a lovely way to explore a country. I felt safe and in good company at all times.
EBC with overnight stay…
Completed the EBC with overnight stay and it was fantastic, the group size was just perfect and the tour organisers, Icicles, made the whole experience really easy and relaxed from the outset in Kathmandu. Our tour guide Raj was really good and very knowledgeable about the whole journey and experience, he was easy to speak with and made time to answer all our questions and provided great advice on what to eat and how to prepare for each day’s trekking. Our porters Laxman and Shikar were also very good and engaging with everyone. I would definitely go back with this company and put my trust in Raj and the team again.
I had a great time on our trek
I had a great time on our trek. The other 12 people in the group were amazing fun people to be around. Our head guide Pooja was incredible at her job, she organized everything seamlessly, kept our safety as her number one priority while also encouraged us when it got tough and created a fun and warm environment. Our two assistant guides were also incredible. Surdip was amazing at spotting wildlife, pointing out monals, musk deer, mountain goats and more. He was funny, encouraging and skilled. Prem was warm and kind, capable of leading the pack or taking up the caboose.
The trek was truly incredible, being in the mountains for 14 days was so surreal, the miles we trekked and the views we saw were so impressive. Could not speak more highly of our guides as well as the people I meet on the trek.
Indira and her team were excellent
Indira and her team were excellent. Communication in advance was first rate.
The reason I haven’t awarded them a 5 star rating is the quality of the guide I was given for my solo trip.
The guide was called Ram. He was by far the oldest and least fit of all the guides I saw on the trip. The experience was made worse by his lack of English and general laziness.
Due to his opinion of my fitness level we changed my original plan to do Mera Peak and did EBC instead. I am 64 and an ultra distance trail runner!!
Despite my attempts to get Ram to take me to the lakes or somewhere interesting as we had more time for the trek he was very dismissive. To quote’ those places are for younger people’!
Often when trekking he was so far behind me talking to other guides or my porter I had to wait for him to catch up when I got to a junction in the path.
Once again, an excellent company, just avoid this guide. They have much better ones including Sarala their female guide.
I liked the live chat
I liked the live chat, The guy I chatted with was very knowledgeable about the cycling in South East Asia. It's because of him I decided to go.
The email communication overall was slow and I was allocated a case worker without knowing. They were not as engaging until I purchased a trip, However as much I wanted to engage the guy on follow up questions with whom I chatted on live chat with I was told I cannot choose whom my file was allocated to. That put me off. And afterwards emails were from customer service rep and not the caseworker... it would be much better for me if I was able to communicate with whom I developed a rapport with vs whom I'm told is my caseworker. That's my only complaint. Was interesting to compare three customer service reps and their engagement. If I never had the guy chat online I think based of the email response to my initial enquiry and allocated case worker response I would have gone via a different company for this trip.
Amazing Annapurna Trek
We had an amazing time doing the Annapurna circuit with our guide Diwaker and our porter Sujan. They really made our trip a good one.
