DO NOT BUY FROM THESE FRAUDSTERS. I ordered a book, but they tried to tell me it was a download. NO IT WASNT! They ask for your address and offer free posting. This wouldn't be necessary for a download!I have now requested my money back and getting fobbed off. Keep being told it will be refunded. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE.

I would be very careful what you order as you may not get it. The customer service is so poor other than emails that don’t answer the questions.

So wish I’d read the reviews before ordering. Echoing what has been said before ticked the hardback cover option only to be given digital downloads. Got in touch to raise the mistake to be told no you've ordered digital. Emails back and forth then finally threatened with trading standards and they sent me a link for a refund. I will still be raising a complaint with trading standards as they are blatantly falsely advertising and not delivering what people think they are ordering.

They are rubbish ordered a paperback but never received it when I sent an e mail regarding this they said I had ordered a e book, which I hadn't. I tried ringing the company but all I got was automated response.
Customer service is non existent.

Bought a hard copy book for 50% off only to be sent a digital copy. I got in touch with them and they stated I'd bought the digital version when I already told them I did not for the very reason that I cannot stand digital books. The email was response was sketchy and unprofessional; instantly realized I'd been scammed!

AVOID!!!!!! This company scams you into receiving a digital version of the book when you place an order for a hardcover version with free delivery. They mislead you into adding your delivery address as per company instructions so you can get your book delivered. When I had not received the book after 14 days I contacted thebookworld.uk to inquire when I will receive it and they replied saying there was a link in the original email they sent me to say that they had received my order and were processing it ????? I DID NOT ORDER A DIGITAL VERSION.

As everybody else says this is a scam- they have no actual books at all and even said this in an email response- you tick hardcover as a preference to digital - so why if they have no books is this option available. Please report to trading standards through citizens advice. They are also trading online as Bokon.uk also same scam!

Avoid. Misleading advertising. I am raising a credit card dispute with my credit card provider. They advertised the book as “new” and “hardcover” yet it is an ebook! No one replies to calls or emails (other than a AI bot).

SCAM - AVOID
I have had the same experience as others. They do not have physical books. They send a download link which I have not opened as I do not trust the source at all. I am disputing this through my credit card. I ordered in a hurry, I wish I had taken more time to check the company out. Website looks legitimate but it definitely is not. How do we get it taken down?

This an update on my original review. I had to change my card for my current account to prevent further access by these scammers. However I have also put a claim into my bank for a refund. I know it’s only for £7 but why should they get away with fraud?

I too have been scammed. Queried where my book was and that 2 payments had been taken. They said I'd ordered an e-book. I've contacted my bank.
The payment came out under Gostonosi.

Like many others scammed into ordering a hardback book, sent a pdf.
Absolute grade one con.

AVOID!!!! I had exactly the same experience as everyone else, I bought a paperback and got an ebook. I wish I had read the reviews beforehand.
I wonder if the publishers of the books know, I have some contacts I will let know as this brings all book sellers into disrepute.

Don’t use this website ever, you can order a book but you won’t get a book, you get a PDF and I didn’t order it, and you don’t get a refund!

Just like other reviewers, I ordered a hardcover book and was sent the ebook. When I emailed them they lied and said I ordered the ebook. Thought the price was too good to be true. Wish I'd checked these reviews first. Will be reporting them to Trading standards and Advertising standards.

Do not buy from this company unless you want an ebook. I ordered a ‘hardcover’ and I had to enter shipping address but apparently I ordered an ebook. Now I’m getting the same reply from this company.

Did not receive order and took two lots of payment

Ordered a book in paperback and they’ve sent me a digital download. Digital download is an option on their website, it’s not what I selected. Ive emailed for a refund - will update this if I see my money back.

not hard books despite saying will be delivered by Royal Mail when I emailed to check where my book was as I never got a confirmation email they said I had bought an ebook.

Don't use this company. It's a scam. Read the reviews first. You order a hardback book and get some sort of pdf downloadable link. Customer Services don't operate and the emails disappear into a void.
