While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

A word of warning to anyone who may be…

A word of warning to anyone who may be considering a physical event in 2021.

As many of you will know we had to cancel the ERP Today Awards event earlier this month. Despite a water tight contract The Brewery on Chiswell Street is refusing to hand back our deposit of nearly £30k - money which should be going towards our fundraiser for the NHS Charities Together Covid-19 Urgent Appeal.

After months of chasing, a string of broken promises and missed deadlines, we have had to resort to solicitors and court to get our money back adding further costs to the money we have already lost.

I appreciate that the hospitality industry has been hit hard, but so has many other industries - including the one we operate in - and the venue has behaved appallingly by simply refusing to acknowledge the contract and give our money back. It’s how we conduct ourselves in the toughest of times that defines us and now more then ever businesses and individuals must act ethically, morally and legally.

Think carefully before you book an event there.A word of warning to my 5000+ contacts who may be considering a physical event in 2021.

The brewery in Whitley bay

The brewery in Whitley bay. Really nice atmosphere has recently changed hands from a fitzgeralds pub but now with a much improved music playlist. Yeah the atmosphere that came from the Old George down the street has arrived along with the staff. Very much liking it. Very much 😁
