They were prompt with my refund . After II had paid the online price they asked for 60 bucks more claiming it was a different unit nut with the same description . Sketchy .

Do not buy from this company! I am having a difficult time with Cabin Depot. My wood stove arrived damaged due to the company improperly packaging the stove. I reached out to them so they could remedy the situation, but so far they have done nothing to fix the situation and are now ignoring the problem. I spent $1400 for my new stove, and now Cabin Depot seems not to care about it. If you buy from this company, just understand that you may get a damaged product and that they won't fix the problem. Buyer beware.
From the very first enquiry all the way through to having my bespoke gym delivered… Dealing with the cabin depot was smooth sailing all the way through!
I had dealt with Jonny throughout the process and he cleverly used WhatsApp which allowed us to remain in conversation with each other and to share videos, pictures, ideas and voice messages… All things that I use in my own business.
So it was very natural and easy to keep that conversation going and once we had determined what it is I was looking for, we set the wheels in motion towards paying a deposit.
Johnny had many ways of taking concept and turning it into the reality, giving many tips along the way as to what could be done.
Again, he made the process of investing in this home gym project a pleasure and I can genuinely say I’m delighted with the product and cannot wait to fill it with gym equipment in the next few weeks!
I can’t recommend cabin depot highly enough and will most certainly be using them in the future as there are other projects that I would like to move forward with
Shopping around for the right UK based shipping container company can be a bit of a nightmare, but once I had found their website I immediately felt relaxed - and again, from enquiry all the way through to delivery. I found the service to be seamless.
Thanks again to cabin depot, and a very special thank you to Jonny for his encouragement and expertise along the way.
Update May 2025:
Once the owner of the company got involved, the staff we were working with at Cabin Depot became more service oriented and although we still had to jump through hoops to prove the system was set up correctly and legit not working, a solution was proposed that once installed has brought us trouble free power generation through the summer.
It’s August now and our generator last came on in May prior to our 4@550W PV installation.
Every day the sun shines our battery tops up and we have not bought gas for our Honda EU7000si for 3 months!
There are some really great staff and ownership at Cabin Depot, but make sure if you’re not getting the follow up you deserve, you keep records so your experience can be validated and corrected.
Original post:
After nearly 10 years living off grid, we saved up the money to invest in an inverter, battery and solar panels to improve our power supply from the single source of our 7000w Honda si generator.
13 Sept 2024 paid $9,799.99 for a set-up from Cabin Depot in NB, excited to support a Canadian company and start banking power every time we run our generator.
This order was late to ship, delayed in shipment, delivered over 2 days by 2 different carriers and arrived damaged. It took 7 weeks to get a replacement solar panel and hours of emails and documentation to prove the damage which was easy to see in the photographs.
By December our system was hooked up but now does not work- tech support for the inverter has informed us the battery bank is under-powered for the system to run properly and that other Cabin Depot customers have had to replace the 8@6v lead acid batteries with 48v Lithium batteries in order to get the systems to work.
Our complaints to Cabin Depot have been shunted off to "customer support" which is doing nothing to rectify the situation. It's March 2025 and a process begun in January of this year has no clear resolution in sight.
