As a mother of a daughter who has been on the NHS waiting list for an autism assessment for several years, I was feeling increasingly overwhelmed by the daily challenges we faced. My daughter, who is skilled at masking her struggles, often left me feeling helpless. After reaching out to Lorna at CareGen last year with some questions, I was still uncertain about whether to continue waiting for the NHS appointment.

By summer, we reached a breaking point and recognised the urgent need for an assessment. I contacted Lorna again, and to my relief, she quickly facilitated an appointment for us. Within a matter of weeks, we had an assessment scheduled.

The assessment itself was a wonderfully positive experience. Dr Mohamed and his team were exceptional—great listeners who demonstrated genuine patience and understanding while working with my daughter. They allowed her to express herself at her own pace, which made a significant difference.

One of the highlights for me was the opportunity to speak openly with the doctor about my daughter's challenges in a setting devoid of her presence. It felt refreshing to discuss her negative traits and my struggles without worrying about how it might affect her.

Communication throughout the process was prompt and efficient. Looking back, I genuinely wish I had sought this support sooner. I can’t express how grateful I am for the assistance and understanding we received at CareGen. They have truly made a positive impact on our lives.

Really good experience and felt supported by everyone in the team. From the initial communication to where we are now, having just received a diagnosis, we have had a positive and professional experience. Strongly recommended.

After going through so many hurdles and then finding caregen honestly has made a huge difference. After going through NhS with my daughter and then being told my son could take years we started looking for private assessment and we come across these. From start to finish I can truly say what fantastic team they are, they made us feel at ease throughout the whole process. And any questions asked didnt seem like we were burdening them. ( and there was a few). The report was much more then we received through the nhs with my daughter. And fully understood my sons needs. They were brilliant and patient with my boy through the ADOS assessment and didnt feel like we were rushed one bit. If anyone is thinking going through the private sector I would highly recommended these.

I wanted to write our honest experience with CareGen. Our daughter heavily masks and we found that the nhs sadly let us down when asking for support and guidance with our daughter. CareGen were incredible from start to finish and really listened to our concerns, they really validated all that my daughter struggles with and also us as parents. They gave us such useful advice and a care plan for our daughter after diagnosis. The whole experience was excellent and after years and years of trying to get people within the nhs to listen and help us, we finally felt heard and we are glad we trusted our gut instincts.

From start to finish, the process was easy and communication excellent and quick. Dr Abdi was so lovely and put me at ease immediately, and supported me when I struggled. When I had queries regarding my report, he was happy to talk them through with me and make some changes. The fact the assessment was remote really appealed to me so I didn't have to go somewhere unfamiliar. The assessment is also very reasonably priced. I can't recommend CarGen enough.

Starting with the free phone call consultation, this company have gone above and beyond for us. After getting nowhere for 4years with our son, we finally received a diagnosis and it is such a relief, now we can get him the support he has desperately needed. Dr Abdi was incredible with our son and ourselves.. he was really patient, understanding, caring & friendly and really listened to every concern and gave us so much advice! we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We received the report a week later after the diagnosis and we are over the moon with how detailed it is and how much was picked up during the assessment. The list of recommendations are incredible too. Very fast responses to emails throughout and just an all round AMAZING company. We couldn’t thank you enough for everything. 10000000% recommend this company to anyone looking for an ASD assessment!

After 5 long years of waiting for NHS assessment for my son, I decided to go private. I cannot fault the care and communication I received from CareGen from the very start.

From the very first consultation, everyone has been so friendly and approachable and given the impression that they truly care.

I wasn’t sure how my son would cope with the ADOS assessment, especially being online but Dr Abdi was so good with him. I also worried about how much could be picked up online as my son masks quite well, but it was clear when reading the report that they had been able to read my son very well.

It’s such a relief to finally have a confirmed diagnosis, along with a really detailed report. I’m hoping my son will now be able to access the support that he deserves.

I can't thank caregen enough. I had spent two years desperately trying to get some support with my daughter’s behaviour/meltdowns. School made me feel mad, like I was making it all up. I was turned away from every door I knocked on.
Right from the first phone call with caregen I felt like someone finally understood what was going on and I finally had someone in my corner.
Forms were easy to fill out and actually really opened my eyes to so much understanding of not only my daughters behaviour but of mine own childhood too. Things finally started to make sense for us as a family.
The assessment its self was done on line which was perfect for my daughter due to her anxiety of new places and people. We were given lots of brakes, assessors were easy to talk to, they made my daughter feel comfortable. We had an answer same day along with supportive advice to help at home while waiting for the report. Report took two weeks to receive and it is very thorough with excellent recommendations for us at home and at school. I cant fault CareGens for their service and would highly recommend them.

After not getting anywhere with the school, I finally have a diagnosis along with 12 pages of reports on how to help my 6 year old at school, home, recommendations of other professionals. No waiting years, the whole process was done within weeks. Now I am able to get the correct people involved to help my son.

Can finally say I have received the help and support I have been trying to get for my son & daughter for years the support I have received from caregen is unbelievable I honestly can’t thank them enough
