The Case Room is where candidates practice consulting case interviews out loud, with an interviewer who pushes back. You speak and the interviewer listens: it responds to exactly what you said, follows up on your framework, questions an assumption and asks you to walk through your math. Our AI interviewer is calibrated to real interviewer standards, so you hear the bar of a real MBB interview before the one that counts. The Case Room was founded by Chang Liu, a former McKinsey Engagement Manager and interviewer, who received offers from McKinsey, BCG, Bain, and PwC Strategy&. Every case is scored against the standard she used when interviewing candidates. You get over 150 full cases across profitability, market entry, growth, pricing, M&A and market sizing, with exhibits to read and math to work through. After every case you get a scored report on analytical, conceptual, quantitative, and communication and presence skills, with question by question feedback on what a strong answer sounds like. Redos of any case you have unlocked are free, so you can apply the feedback straight away. Lessons teach frameworks, case math and exhibit reading, and optional 1:1 coaching with Chang is available. The Case Room is built for undergraduate and MBA candidates preparing for McKinsey, BCG, Bain and other top consulting firms, and your first full case is free. The case interview that pushes back.

From no case to MBB final round

I was invited to interview with an MBB firm and had less than three weeks to prepare for my first round. The CaseRoom was honestly my saviour…

I was able to practise a variety of cases across different industries, which really helped me sharpen my analytical and structuring skills.

The feedback at the end of each case was always incredibly useful and spot-on & I found the grading system really useful. Seeing my overall rating improve from “Needs Work” to “Solid” in just a few cases shows how effective that feedback was! I made it through to the final round without any major hurdles. If anything, I almost felt overprepared (if there’s such a thing!).

I couldn’t recommend The CaseRoom enough to anyone preparing for consulting interviews!
