Sorry but this venue is no where near what it once was. Who was that guy playing absolute dross. Not sure if I prefer this, or the idiot that plays the same old crap every week. Sorry but gotta be honest. This isnt right for a Saturday night.

Furkin great... Balls like you could never imagine.. Serious class and I have never gained so hard. Toight... And I like to feel toight like a tiger.... Went all in on the W, and coach left with a smile. :) <3

This steak might just be the finest I've ever experienced. Each element was enchanting, a true feast for the senses, all wrapped in wonderful pub ambiance.

Hired function room for funeral wake amazing helpfull attentive freindly staff. Choice of buffet food was excellent food was high quality generous portions highly recommended.

The normal cheery greeting from the staff member who directed us to our booked table.
Drinks order taken as we settled and menus given for our perusal.
The steaks that we ordered, were cooked to our preferred tastes and our chocolate lab Holly, enjoyed our selection from the doggy menu.
The staff were as normal very helpful and extremely busy. The reason we return to the CockInn is because of the friendly atmosphere, also dog friendly.
Highly recommended.

Went for a Sunday lunch. When we first arrived we were rushed into ordering before we’d had a chance to read the menu thoroughly. We had a table for 10 and can honestly say the food was very disappointing. Out of ten meals, only one was enjoyed and that was the only one that wasn’t a roast dinner. The lamb and beef were very chewy and couldn’t be cut! All of the veg, side dishes, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings etc were smothered in pepper even on the children’s meals. We then got told we had to leave as they needed the table for another reservation!
Very disappointing visit! Would not return or recommend

Possibly the best steak I've had in my life. Every component was magical and a delight to the senses. Great pub vibes.

Visited on Mexican themed night.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great.
The staff were also great, we were made to feel very welcome.
Altogether a really lovely evening, we would without doubt highly recommend the Cock Hotel.

My sister and I were sadly organising our mums ‘wake’
Choosing somewhere that’s special and holds memories was very important to us.
Elle has only recently taken on the cock inn.
She was so attentive, accommodating, and thoughtful.
After a couple of meetings it became apparent how personally and respectfully she was treating us … and our ‘mum’
Nothing was too much trouble, she went the extra mile with every lovely touch.
Her partner helped out on the day and her lovely mum helped with teas and coffees.
I almost felt like the whole family were embracing that day with such care.
This isn’t just a ‘job’ to Elle .
Her personal touches and attention to detail go above and beyond and I’ve now made new friends. Xx

I attended a wake at the cock Inn pub in this lovely little village and from the minute you walked through the door ,you was instantly made very welcome ,and when I left I was totally speechless, and this is why ,Eleanor ,Ian and Diane could not do enough to make every single person there feel what ever anybody wanted at any time off the day ,they made sure you got it ,tea or coffee at any time ,the food they put out was all homemade and was plenty of it ,no body went hungry they catered for vegetarian and vegan options ,but the personal touches is what made it a special day and venue they set the room up in the morning with hundreds of pictures ,you can not put a price on that kind of service the bar staff was so friendly too nothing was too much and time didn't matter we even stayed to watch the Morris dancers ,to give a beautiful lady a perfect send off in the most perfect location and venue ,I would recommend the cock Inn to anybody for a little private party ,I'd like to thank everyone at the cock Inn for going above and beyond to make it a fantastic end to a lovely send off thank you so much ,Richard

I had a wonderful experience at the pub. It brought back nostalgic memories of when I used to accompany my grandpa to our local pub. I definitely plan on returning in the future.

Fantastic experience at The Cock, brilliant buffet & lovely atmosphere. Great beer as always!

Eleanor and Ian have done wonders with this pub. Eleanor with the skills of an event coordinator and Ian who has mastered the art of making sure that every drink is served to perfection. You always receive a warm welcome weather you are a local or just passing by. Everyone is welcome, including dogs 🙂. Shame it only goes to a 5 star rating.
