Not very nice really

I procrastinated over trying this for months. I was put off by the long wait time for the first box. They only take payments on the 1st of the month and only ship boxes from the 21st. So in the end, I waited about a month, but it could be 2 months for others.
For me, the box arrived on the 27th, but they say it can take up to 7 working days from the 21st. I dislike the fact that the first box could therefore potentially arrive after they've already taken payment for the second one or that, if it does arrive in time, you only have a few days to decide if you want another box. Maybe I'm being a bit cynical but I can't help but wonder if this is done deliberately.
I set it to quarterly to avoid this, but out of curiosity, I checked my account on the 31st and it wasn't possible to see what the limited edition cocktails for August were (I got the July box). They did show on the 1st but by then the payment would have already been taken... something else I didn't really like.
The delivery was by DHL. There was no time slot... it was just by end of day... but it was fine really. And I thought the packaging was good.
I'm sorry to say though that I really wasn't impressed with the contents at all. The best item was the truffle crisps. The worst was the bottled cocktail. Now, this is something I'd chosen myself. I chose the limited edition apricot and cucumber smash because the other ones were just the usual basic cocktails really and I wanted something a bit more exciting. But the taste of cucumber was absolutely overpowering. I have to say it was really horrible. It's funny because in the picture it's a nice peach (apricot) colour but it's actually yellow green. I offered it to someone else and they didn't like it either so that just went down the drain. That was the main item in the box (500ml). I also couldn't drink the mezcal picante DIY cocktail... another overpowering taste... and the sun bird was okay but a bit sickly. The best drink was the canned sake sling. There was another (forgettable) snack and a "mystery free gift" that I found kind of tacky.
I was really looking forward to this... I waited so long for it... but most of the box was just wasted really which was obviously a big disappointment. Maybe I was just unlucky and got a bad box. Maybe maybe, if I can see a limited edition cocktail that I like the look of before a payment is due to be taken, I will try again. But it seems pretty unlikely really.
