Ordered a set with tie and pocket…

Ordered a set with tie and pocket square. I received an email informing me the order had been cancelled. I emailed for an explanation but didn’t hear back for a few days so I figured this was an error so reordered the same items. Received a reply stating they were waiting for the material which would take a few weeks. I replied asking for a refund for both and am still waiting for a reply. It should be advertised if items are in stock. Due to the fact this was meant to be a gift I had time restraints and would have saved me a lot of trouble if it had clearly stated on the website they didn’t have the item I wanted in stock.

Amazing customer service

I made a mistake while ordering which I quickly realised after placing the order and I emailed them they were extremely helpful. It was amazing how quickly they responded even though it was really late at night the tie and the kids bowtie it’s really nice quality. Only disappointing thing is the packaging as the tie was expensive. Overall, I would give them five star for the customer service.

Great website, weak follow-up

Great-looking website and beautiful studs — and with a nice discount code, too. I placed and paid for my order on 8 November, but then everything went quiet. After two reminders, I suddenly received a refund because the team was “on annual leave for a week.”

A bit odd, because my question was simply if and when the studs would be delivered. I only need them in December, so waiting wasn’t an issue.

I’m not someone who hands out 1-star reviews often, but this felt disappointing and not what you expect nowadays. A quick update or clear communication would have made all the difference.

worst site ever

worst site ever. Owner is scamming folk not allowing returns yet is a UK registered business. The goods are just cheap tat that you can get from Alibaba and sold for way more even Amazon sells the cufflinks for a few £. Such a scam

Wish I could give no stars

Wish I could give no stars . What a scam they advertise an item then send a completely different item less quality then try to make out you are the one that is wrong .
Then offer you a minimal compensation money wise
I just wanted to send it back and get the right item I ordered or my money back.
Be warned this is bad practice and a scam
Company has horrible work ethics

Dreadful customer service

Dreadful customer service . Ordered mens shorts . What arrived was nothing in the picture . Ripped holes and tears . Ask to return it . They refused and offered $5 back . I refused . They then told me to return item at my cost to China or take their last offer of $10 refund . The shorts were $50 . AVOID

Poor quality product. Service even worse

The dress studs were poor quality and were returned by courier and working the terms of the distance selling act. Despite multiple attempts to contact The Gents Lab correspondence has not been returned and no refund provided. Next stop trading standards.

Based on this experience I would avoid at all costs.

Hidden additional costs, lack of transparency

Not upfront regarding shipping duties. You need to click on the “shipping policy” and scroll to the bottom to see the fact you are not a VAT registered business. Most UK based retailers are either VAT registered or are very clear and transparent regarding the fact that additional costs may have to be incurred. For a 37 euro purchase I paid 32 euros in shipping and additional customs costs. Shame on me for expecting a business to be upfront regarding additional fees.

No hidden costs at all here and certainly not something unique to our small business. We are not based in the EU so we wouldn’t charge you European Union VAT. It’s nothing new, anything you buy from the UK and import into your home country will incur import tax at your governments local rate.

Order placed 1st feb....still no update emails

Ordered fir this valentines day cuff links for my partner. Placed order 1st feb still not received or had any dispatched or delivered email. Shows order confirmed and ready to ship. Not long emailed them as worried won't be here in time for valentines day!

As discussed over chat and email, we had sent our your order but you needed us to rearrange the delivery to a new address as you had just moved. We only rearranged that yesterday so that is why your order has not yet arrived. As you need the order soon and are in quite a hurry I have instead refunded you in full and would ask you purchase off the high street to ensure you have the products you need when you need them as I cannot guarantee a delivery date when you select free standard shipping at the checkout. I'd highly recommend purchasing postage that guarantees a delivery date if you need a guaranteed delivery date or are in a hurry.

amazing

my first time buying from the company and i am blown away. the cufflinks i purchased were exactly like the images yet better. the quality and attention to detail deserves some much called for respect and appreciation.

i’m a sucker for a deal and i originally found the cufflinks through ‘not on the high street’ however they were cheaper to purchase through their own site and had a deal on so bargain!! the gents lab shipped on time and royal mail delivered it within the expected time frame so i have no complaints.i 100% recommend to anyone thinking of buying.

Hi Deeba,
As mentioned in today's conversation we had via email, your order was despatched on time and is currently with Royal Mail. I'm sorry that the order hasn't arrived in time for your event but bear in mind, we are not Royal Mail and have no control over the courier.
We have explained that after 20 working days if the tracking number still says it has not been delivered, we will assume that the order has gone missing and give you a full refund.
If the item does get delivered within that period you can simply cross out your address on the package, pop it back into a postbox and it will return to us where we will of course, refund you in full.
