Excellent iron fitting

Visited golf factory with my son to buy him some new irons. Jason was fantastic during the whole process with no pressure to purchase at all. Walked out with a great set of irons, including Jason’s old 2 iron, that fitted him perfectly. Highly recommend to anyone

Great Customer Service

I was at The Golf Factory a few weeks ago and cannot recommend them enough. Went in with a budget and an idea of what I wanted. The guys were incredibly helpful, spent over an hour with me in the simulator trying different clubs finding exactly what suited me. I left under budget with very different clubs than I thought I'd get but I can say they have significantly improved my game already.

What a service and experience!

Traded in a load of old clubs and got a great price which I was able to use against two fairway woods. Fitting process was how I wanted it and unlike some fitters I was able to swap in and out with my clubs to get the right fit. Clubs arrived in just over a week and the after service detail was amazing. Dan remembered I used Jumbo grips and had the woods set up to the spec I was best at in the fitting. That's just great detail!

Called in to the new shop at Sharpley…

Called in to the new shop at Sharpley to enquire about a fitting. They offered to do it there and then.
Used the room leading to the driving range to hit balls using a launch monitor.
Tried 3 different sets of clubs with several different shafts and wasn’t rushed to make a decision.
Decided on a set of ping g440’s with graphite shafts and was given a good price and a good trade in for my old irons.
Danny was excellent and extremely knowledgeable and let me take my time.
Clubs should be here soon and I can’t wait

Manager clearly annoyed.

I've bought from and sold to The Golf factory 3 times in the past 3 years. Always a pleasure, but not today. I arrived and the store was empty bar the two practice booths. I went specifically to look at the forged iron range and try them out. I went there specifically (40 mins each way), for the Mizuno 923 forged set, but as I was waiting around more than half an hr to get into one of the booths, I pulled out 3 other sets to consider.

Inside the booth, nothing was working for me. Seemed every shot was pulling left which is not my usual shot. I usually hit my 7 iron 160-70. These were showing up as 150 ish. A big guy came in to see how I was doing. He mentioned my swing speed was faster than his, but he could hit them further. I asked for feedback on why he thought this was the case. Seems I was struggling to compress the ball on the mat. He said someone had set the screen up 'like a donkey'. I started hitting better shots after he adjusted it. I'd only been in roughly 5 minutes, hitting 5 balls with each 7 iron I'd picked out. I began wondering if I'd made the correct decision on the Mizuno 923 forged set.

Some older guy, maybe the Manager, came over complaining that sets of clubs were left out all over the place. I told him I had them out to try them. He seemed pretty annoyed by this.

I put all the clubs back as I'd decided on the 923 that I came in for but thought I'd take a break outside in the car while I thought it over, but on the way out the same guy said 'maybe you're not good enough and need a little more practice. Have a better idea of what you want in future before taking up booth time............'

I wasn't sure if I'd heard him correctly, but I'm sure I did. So I picked up my gear and left.

It's the 1st time I've dealt with this guy. The others have always been a pleasure. This guy was clearly pissed at something, and thought it was ok to insult me.

If you're going to let people use the booths, have a strict time limit. Maybe ask the customer if they need advice or feedback initially. Maybe create a booking system where you pay a deposit 1st. Or maybe handle your anger a little better.

You lost a sale today and I won't be back.

Ordered a second hand club which was not as described, the club has been cut down considerably (around 2 inches, turning a 7 iron into a PW length), its totally unusable. Have sent 3 emails over the course of 5 days and not a single reply, will have to raise a paypal dispute.

Not my set of irons delivered

Ordered a set of irons, next day delivery arrives and it’s someone else’s order, set of Nikes very nicely packed in foam. I called the shop spoke to Mark and he was only interested in getting them back to the correct customer, I had to wait in again the following day for a collection of these clubs, with no care as to where my order had gone. Finally got through to Mark and he said the that mine were still in the shop and they be delivered the following day, apologised and said he’d throw in a couple of ball packs for the inconvenience. Collection courier turns up, that’s fine, my delivery turns up not at all packaged how the other customers clubs were, just rattling around in the box, it’s NO packs of balls, emailed a complaint with zero response! Very disappointing!

They carry an amazing amount of stock both new and second hand and will always be up for a deal . Really friendly and helpful. Highly recommended 👍

The Golf Factory- customer service

Visited The Golf Factory yesterday to buy an electric golf trolley. The staff were excellent- very helpful and friendly and provided me with good advice on which type of trolley to get and took time to demonstrate its features. It was an ex display model so also received some good discount. Would definitely recommend!👍🏻

What an amazing place

What an amazing place! The choice of clubs and equipment is wonderful! I only discovered this place last week and have been four times already - purchasing a driver, a putter and a wedge!
The staff are really friendly and helpful. Danny spent a long time with me today helping me find a suitable driver! I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Ronnie. He gave me a tour of the place and is obviously very proud of what this business has become. It was great chatting with him. If you haven’t been yet, you must go! If you have been, I bet you have been back!

A Golfing Hidden gem

Discovered 'The Golf Factory' online. It is based in Newcastle, I reside in West Yorkshire. Well worth the trip today, served by the 'main man' who listened to my needs and provided me with excellent service providing me with a new iron set and 10.5 degree driver. He was happy to meet my budget giving me substantial discounts. The shop is a hidden gem with an exhaustive selection of second hand and new golfing equipment. A 'must go to' for all golfing enthusiasts.

Let down after let down....

I never leave reviews (especially negative ones) but the absolutely shocking service I have received from this company has left me with a compelling urge to warn others.

I have tried to order clubs a number of times with Golf Factory and I have had calls informing me that individual clubs or sets had 'gone missing' or no longer available not once, not twice but 3 times!!

Not only this but when a deal was finally agreed with the money that I paid to find replacements, they then sent me the wrong clubs (combo set error) which meant the journey and arrangements I had made with mates to play that day was wasted.

Following that, the courier service to pick up thier clubs was awful with (again) multiple let downs.

I politely asked for some kind of compensation (or reduction in price on another club) for the consistent string of let downs as well as money on wasted journeys and times to sort out thier issues which they have chosen to ignore.

I consider myself a passive, easy going character but dealing with this lot turned me into a raving lunatic for a short period of time.

One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever received.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid.
