Very poor customer service

I placed an order today on Uber Eats for a mango smoothie bowl and a certain type of granola which was available and in stock at the time.

My order was delivered by the driver with only the smoothie bowl in the bag. I asked where the rest of the order was and he informed me the granola was sold out so the shop had contacted me to tell me.

I never received any contact from the shop - if an item is sold out it should be showing as unavailable and not be selectable from the menu. I then spoke to the shop on the phone to which a lady informed me a price adjustment was made and I will not have to pay for the missing item. She also said she tried to contact me to tell me but as mentioned before I never received any contact until I was on the phone to the lady. I then noticed they had made the granola unavailable at that moment showing as sold out.

I was ordering for two people so now one of us has no food and will have to order somewhere else and wait another 20 mins for delivery. This is very bad customer service and as someone who is visiting Kuala Lumpur from London I definitely will not be recommending this place to anyone or making any more orders. I should have been offered an alternative as there are many types of granola which I gladly would have accepted. But firstly the item should have been unavailable anyway.

It’s a shame as the food here is really good and I have enjoyed eating there up until now. This has put me off for good.
