Customer Service suboptimal

Ordered a fixing kit on 10 July and it has only just been delivered (24 July) Dispatch time was fine but Evri the courier offered a very poor service in terms of delivery and providing poor information regarding the status of the delivery. I contacted Handy via their Webform to ask for their assistance with managing Evri and getting the item to me in line with the postage paid for.
I heard nothing from Handy and have zero evidence they did anything about it = poor customer service

Absolutely disgusted with this company.

Absolutely disgusted with this company.
Bought a log splitter, broke within its warranty period. Was advised of my nearest repair centre and I dropped the log splitter off.
It's been 5 months and it is still in the repair centre. HANDY refuse to send out a new machine after multiple faults have been found and rectified by repair centre.
I've emailed and phoned their customer service line 20 odd times for updates, no response to emails and vague replies to time commitments over the phone.
I would never recommend this company as their products are clearly subpar and their customer service, along with warranty, is totally useless. Money down the drain.

Total disinterest in customer support

I bought a large handy garden trolley which served me well whie it worked. Unfortunately one of the front wheels had a defective weld that meant the hub fractured off the wheel flange while i was using it and the front wheel essentially fell off!
I tried to call customer service. TheHandy do not have a telephone number one can call.
I filled in their form to Customer Service requesting a spare wheel. No response.
I again wrote to the Company, on another email address, outlining the problem and highlighting I had already written and received no response. Again, nothing.
Meanwhile the trolley sits there unuseable….
This company clearly does not understand the meaning of customer service and support which is normally indicative of how the senior Directors view it. Uninterested. It is a shame that a British company, yet again, seems unable to get manufacturing quality right and views customer support as unimportant. So if you buy their products be aware you are taking a risk. If it goes wrong you are on your own!

The backup service of Handy garden…

The backup service of Handy garden machinery is non existent. Tried to contact by phone number from handbook on numerous occasions without success. Part nos from list in handbook not recognised on Handy website, so very very difficult to order parts for impact shredder which failed second time out over a year ago.

Terrible customer service and experience.

I bought some machinary carriage wheels and they sent me a log basket...
It even has a massive picture on the front of the 2ft box of what it is so they clearly have some problems understanding information. The communication is very poor as well with no updates on an exchange and I'm still waiting on a reply 2 days later for an answer.
Customer care is none existent. I wouldn't use this company again.

Update on exchange, now out of stock!! Didn't even have the courtesy to apologise, that's how much they care. Jokers!!

The managing Director Stephen Barlett needs to sort it out!

Purchased Handy THISWB garden shredder…

Purchased Handy THISWB garden shredder 2500w in 2019. Same model still on sale today. The collecting box has a lever that must be inserted into the body of the machine before it will start (a safety device). Over time the lever fills with dust and debris thus preventing it from being pulled down out of the machine leaving the collecting box stuck. There is no way to clean the debris or to dismantle the lever for cleaning. Handy's customer service said to buy a new collecting box of the same design so the same problem will happen again. Clearly a design fault. Handy's response - no one else has complained!!

Poor quality welding on garden trolley…

Poor quality welding on garden trolley and even worse customer service.

The spot welding failed on my garden trolley within 12 months. Cost £50 to sort - fixings pack which I ultimately did not need and an entire replacement frame. Called customer services to provide feedback and spoke to a very abrupt and disinterested person who just kept suggesting I email them... and then when I insisted on discussing the problem I was fobbed off and then the 'customer service' agent hung up on me. My next planned purchase is a chipper but I will not deal with this company again.

All I needed was a plug for the fuel…

All I needed was a plug for the fuel tank on a Handy chainsaw. Could I buy it?
Not so. I had to buy the 'unit' comprising of the plug, three small fuel pipes and a primer bulb.
Now you would expect this to be for example:
Plug say 50p
2 x 10cm of clear plastic tube say 4 p
1 x 15 cm of rubber tubing say 2 p
1 x fuel primer bulb lets be generous so say £1.50

So where on earth did just short of £10 come from, especially when I didn't want or need most of it?

To add insult to injury, they also charged £5, yes £5 for post and package, when it could have been sent in a small envelope !!! It still took a week to arrive.
And to cap it all, the woman taking my order could not have been less interested in serving me.

I would not use this company again unless I had no other choice. Can I recommend you do the same.

Avoid Webb Lawnmowers Please

Purchased a Webb Lawnmower from a 3rd party site and it arrived well. Used the mower for one season, put it away in a secure container for winter and when I went to use it in the spring, the throttle cable had rusted and completely disintegrated into nothing. When I challenged Webb / The Handy, they wanted nothing to do with it and said it was wear and tear. Absolutely ridiculous.. Avoid!!

I have amended to 2* as they decided to send me the spare part FOC after many emails back and forth.

The product I bought didn't last long,has been discontinued and no stock held so left with no option other than to throw it away. Will buy branded product next time
