I loved Bookfox

I loved Bookfox

I already had some experience with writing courses and classes over the years, but what I liked about bookfox is that it can help you improve your writing in many different ways.

In the bookfox lab there are many short clips that explain different subjects on writing, like how to write a splendid sentence. I loved being able to focus on specific area's that I was personally struggling with on top of the weekly craft meetings.

These weekly craft meetings are for the people who apply for coaching (3 months, 6 months or 12 months). In the meetings with your cohort you learn about different topics and can discuss these with other people who love the craft just as much. Not only that but there is a platform for everyone who joins the cohort to ask questions or share whatever comes to mind. This makes it feel like a real and supportive community.

To top it off you get paired with a mentor who reads pieces of your work weekly and gives excellent feedback.

I personally loved the variety of it and that it had something for everyone no matter where they were in their writing process. I would definitely recommend bookfox to anyone who would love to improve their writing craft.

A Great Way to Finish that Novel!

Bookfox Lab is terrific on so many levels--the instruction is outstanding, the one-on-one mentoring is invaluable, and the course library is a wonderful resource that can help you diagnose almost any problem. In addition, John and the mentors are knowledgeable, dedicated, supportive, and nurturing. The weekly feedback on our writing is worth the price alone!

You also get to interact with a peer group of fellow writers across genres, locations, and experience levels.

I couldn't more fervently recommend this program to any aspiring novelist!

Premier Online School for Authors

In my opinion, Bookfox is the premier online school for authors.
If you've got the will, the desire, and the attitude to become a writer, this website will get you there.
There are video lessons that will expand your mind and take you from your writing habit, to your sentence structures and paragraphs, to writing and revisioning your first novel, and then to discussing editors, agents, and publishers. Watch the lessons and practice the writing assignments. This has already strengthened my writing skills tenfold.

Bookfox Lab. When you're serious about getting it done, and you are writing your novel or have written your novel - Take the Lab.
Do you want to rub shoulders with John Fox and a bunch of other writers on a daily/weekly basis?
Do you want an author/editor to review your work multiple times and give you pointers on how to make it better?
Do you want to meet with agents and publishers who will tell you about how to pitch your novel to get a publisher interested? Or publish it yourself - the right way?
If you do, you NEED this Lab. I did.

The experience was phenomenal!!!

This was absolutely amazing! TBH I went in with little experience and not much ACTUALLY written, so I was nervous at first, thinking my inexperience might be a turn off for them, but they welcomed me with open arms into the community!!

I really appreciate that they taught both basics and advanced level writing concepts based on our strengths and weaknesses. My mentor was especially helpful, she helped me think of my story from new perspectives without changing the heart of it. I heard a lot of horror stories of editors and the like changing the fundamental core of a writers' story and vision that they're trying to convey and I'm SO SO SO glad this wasn't the case here!

My mentor was super patient and understanding with me, while also holding me accountable as I progressed through my journey.

Now I feel like I have a much clearer picture of the direction I want my story to go and the details that will get it there! I surprised myself as I looked back and realized that I had successfully written a good chunk of my first draft within these 3 months that I've been working with BookFox! They really know what to focus on to help make the most progress!
