TLTR: don’t go here, go somewhere else nearby

I feel terrible for having to write this review and I so mean I have to. We have been 2 times to this restaurant. Once to the old location and once to the new. I really wanted to like it since its a local place but there’s very little good about it. The aesthetic lacked cohesion, the food tasted poor, and the wait times were long. Some mom and pop places haves that non-aesthetic aesthetic that can work like an old dinner with mix match posters on the wall but this place felt unintentional. Like the staff not having uniforms but everyone having a very distinct personality or the layout being diy home remodel but the menu being old county favorites. The food was pretty bad. We sample a few items hoping to get a feel for the overall quality and even an english muffin and gravy was a disaster. I have low expectations for breakfast food considering its usually made of low coat ingredients but still I expect something well made. The gravy was orange and honestly tasted like my creamy shrimp pasta sauce thats made of Parmesan, and spices including paprika. Thats not gravy. The muffin was only toasted on the outside and it was dense not fluffy. The pancakes lacked flavor (but were at least packed with blueberries), even the syrup was bad. It was watery and didn’t taste like real or fake maple syrup. It tasted more like watered down, brown dyed simple syrup. And the wait times. So we asked for a couple minutes to look over the menu but they gave us about 15 and not once checked in just in case. I mean we were nice about it so Im not sure why they gave so long after only talking once. Then when we did order the food came out concerningly fast. Like literally a minute or 2. And fo the prices I felt like this place didn’t have the right. It wasn’t above the normal prices around town but the quality was so much less. If you’re looking for breakfast in the heart of McDonough there’s lots of other places like Gritz right down the street.
