If like me you have been coming up with story or character ideas for years and haven't get found the place to set them free - you need look no further! When I found The Novelry I couldn't believe my luck. The courses are produced in such an engaging, contemporary style that you really feel in safe hands. The course content is clear, fun and inspiring and you wont believe where it takes your imagination to fine tune your ideas, come up with new ones or even just take a moment to truly appreciate some books we may not have read since childhood and why they work so well. There are lots of tools that are used to help you glean information from your own life to use in your idea and this I really enjoyed. Don't question it. Just jump in!
Life-changing. An experience that unlocked the story and the faith within me.
The Novelry for me has made my writing a game-changer. I first took the Classic course which is brilliant and well-executed with each lesson building on the last. Having a mentor is amazing, not just a friend who writes but an established writer who has been in the trenches and knows what you are going through. I used to say 'I'm trying to write a book.' I just finished the 90 Day Novel course, and close to finishing my first draft. It has taught me invaluable lessons that I will use for the rest of my 'writing career." That's the difference of how I feel after finishing this course. I'm more confident and now have all the tool to write a Best Seller (Sellers), now it's just up to me.
They say everyone has a book in them and I have more than a few. But no matter how hard I tried, I always felt the stories were not as good as I wanted them to be. This course helped develop a daily habit of writing and took me through the classics in a completely different way to my school days. I learnt how to construct a novel to grip the reader's attention, how to improve my style and ultimately how to submit my work to agents. Well worth the money.
It's a super course, with huge thought and research put into it. Louise Dean is a master and her content is really engaging, thought-provoking and challenging. I can't recommend it more highly if you want to learn about how to write and also reflect on some of the bigger questions that should inform your writing. Just brilliant and so very satisfying.
I started writing my book as part of the Ninety Day Novel course in May 2020, and by March 2021 I had signed with a literary agent. I sincerely believe that I never would've progressed so quickly without the Novelry, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fast track to mastering the essentials of creative writing.
I took all three courses - The Ninety Day Novel (in tandem with The Classic course, although I recommend taking these one at a time) and The Big Edit. I loved the idea of writing a daily practice, the insightful tutor chats, and the combination of high literary ideals and genre awareness. I've learned so much from Louise Dean, my lovely tutor Katie Khan, and the community, that I'm still internalizing some of those lessons, a year later!
In fact, I loved the course so much that I'm using it right now to draft my second book – while I've dabbled in many techniques since last May, I feel most comfortable coming back to the Novelry.
A Wonka Factory of inspiration. Helped me see how stories function successfully (big picture stuff) whilst somehow also filling my head with nuggets of detail and giving me a notebook full of ideas. If you're thinking about doing it - I was too - and I wish I hadn't waited so long. Go for it.
The course delivers on its promise and more. I went into it with an idea for a story and in 9O days had a first draft of a novel that I can’t wait to develop.Truly life-changing.
A brilliant course - well-paced sessions with excellent content and support. Very good value. Wish I'd discovered the course earlier.
I have grown immensely through this experience, not just my ability to craft a story, but in understanding myself better and how my own truth can come out on the page. The course is brilliantly put together, loads of content, can be done anywhere and at any time. I have a sense that I'm moving forward with my dream of being a published writer, in a direction that might actually get me somewhere.
The 90 day novel course promised to get me writing a first draft of my novel - and it delivered. The process was inspiring, supportive and sometimes rather magical. How does Louise Dean, the founder of The Novelry do it? It’s a winning combination of nuts and bolts advice and creative prompts based on her own novel writing process. I came to my desk every morning feeling eager and ready to write. It’s as if I had a whole team of writer buddies cheering me on (and actually I had as there were lots of opportunities to interact with other writers, including some impressive names.)
Whether you’re a new writer or a moderately experienced writer like me looking for a structure to lean on, you’ll benefit from this course. As a bonus, it also reinvigorated my love of reading.
When I signed up for the Classic Course I had no idea how inspiring and thought-provoking it would be. I believe it is unique in opening minds to the mental journeys, philosophies and story-craft of some of our greatest writers. Each lesson left me feeling inspired and excited.

Super pleased to have discovered The Novelry. I’d been struggling to get a first draft of a longed-to-write novel. It reignited my love of writing, boosted my confidence by gently reminding me that I knew some stuff already and I could do this, and showed me I wasn’t alone.
Now comes the real test. Getting that first draft done. I’ve just started the 90 Day Novel Writing Course. Bear with me. But allow me no excuses.
Thank you The Novelry

The Novelry calms the nerves, sparks the imagination, and draws out joy within the daunting perspective of writing a novel. I enjoyed the warmth of community instantly! The perfect place to tread those vulnerable waters.
I signed up to The Novelry's The Ninety Day Novel to force myself to finish a languishing draft, thinking I'd use it as a prompt rather than a 'school' - I'd done enough writing courses and wasn't expecting to learn much more from the lessons. But WOW! Louise has developed a cornucopia of thought-provoking sessions and exercises that challenged the way I saw my practice and stretched my thinking and experience well beyond my comfort zone, resulting in a first draft I never thought I'd ever be able to write. And, just as predicted, I really did quickly start to come to my writing with confidence and joy. As a writer, you can't ask for much more. I'm hugely grateful that I discovered this fantastic writing course and the marvellously inspiring Louise Dean and her equally inspiring co-mentors. Thank you!

I have taken quite a few courses on fiction writing and read hundreds of books. The material for the course was all new to me. It opened up areas for storytelling that are natural and yet not taught. I found it inspirational and practical. The resources given me I will use in my upcoming novel.

Fascinating journey and the pleasure to study at a standard I’ve not found elsewhere. I have a much clearer picture of what’s needed and know that when I get stuck, there’ll be somebody to help me. Every lesson was valuable. I took something from each of them. The quality of your tuition is superb, Louise. I’ll always be grateful to you and feel proud of myself for studying your course and putting what I’ve learnt from you into practice. I’ve loved having The Novelry in my life.

I started from an idea to a first draft and having a full-time job did not stop me from accomplishing the goal. If you're willing to invest the time, then this is a great way to learn fast!

I was skeptical at first, but I'm so glad I did this. Now I have a complete first draft and I can't wait to work on the next draft. Because it works! I'm in a writing group and I have an MFA in fiction and I've seen so many of my peers write a good first chapter. But they can't get farther than that. They'll maybe get halfway through a first draft, but it fizzles out before they ever complete it. Another issue--they start a novel without a very strong idea/premise. I've done this myself, twice. This course helped me clear those hurdles. The practical advice offered in this course helped tighten up both my process and my approach to writing a novel.

The Novelry is for writers at every level, from people just getting started to authors of multiple published novels. This course gets to the heart of how novels work, why they work, and how you can bring successful into your own life. I'm floored by my experience, and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking to get their novels done.
