I have been taking weekly online lessons for a few months. My teacher (Evangelia) is knowledgeable, prepared, patient and kind. The administration of the school is responsive to questions and efficient. The cost seems very reasonable.

I have been with The Online Greek Tutor and my wonderful tutor, Ioanna, for 3 and a half years now and am still thoroughly enjoying my lessons. I'm very happy with the flexibility of private lessons, that allow me to go at my pace, and the seemingly endless variety of material that my tutor is able to provide, which keeps the lessons varied and interesting. We have recently studied some Greek literature, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and we have now moved on to focusing on listening skills, which is one of my weaker areas. My tutor is very patient and kind and explains clearly when I am having difficulty understanding something or have made a mistake. Most importantly I can see how much progress I have made as my Cypriot friends have started to talk to me in Greek more than they do in English. I am far from fluent but I can much more often now understand and use the language without having to translate to and from English

I have been taking lessons from The Online Greek Tutor for a number of years. Valentinos is an extremely engaging teacher. But the most important factor for me, is that The Online Greek Tutor instructors are professional language teachers who themselves actively engage in improving their own teaching skills with continuing education and seminars. It is critical when learning a language to have a well-rounded approach that includes syntax, grammar, vocabulary and conversation. This, in my experience as a bilingual person with a background in linguistics, makes for the most efficient approach.

Sometimes the audio files are glitchy and difficult to download, and also it is not always clear which files go with which book - this has been stressful.
Hoping rest of my course will go more smoothly in this respect now these technical hitches have been addressed.
