Disappointing Customer Service
I was very disappointed with my experience.
The paint tin arrived damaged, despite this being entirely outside of my control. Although the company accepted that the product could still be used and offered a 10% refund, they refused to consider a more reasonable level of compensation given the condition in which it arrived.
The alternative was to return the item, but this still required me to package it up ready for collection, which isn’t straightforward for me due to my circumstances. I explained this, but there was no flexibility in their approach.
In the end, I accepted the 10% refund because it wasn’t worth the hassle of returning the product, not because I felt it was a fair outcome.
It’s disappointing when a company focuses on sticking rigidly to policy rather than looking after a customer who received a damaged item through no fault of their own.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won’t be purchasing from The Paint Shed again.
Edit after Paint shed reply: The paint was not damaged in transport. The packaging was unaffected neither inside or outside. This tells me if left your store/warehouse like that (this is why you totally COVERED it in tape. Also, you offered 10% i asked for 20% and you were unwilling to meet me halfway. I explained the PERSONAL REASONS why sending back is not viable to me, but since you decided to try use it against me please include EVERYTHING. I hope people can see how you reply to customers after you send them defective products. The packaging was fine. They sent it that way. Im not saying they buy cheap defective items and passing them off as new btw

We are sorry that the paint tin arrived with a dent following transit.
While we take great care to package all orders securely, and our courier partners handle thousands of deliveries successfully, occasional impacts can unfortunately occur during transportation despite the precautions taken.
Having reviewed the photographs provided, the damage appears to be cosmetic only and unlikely to affect the paint itself. Paint tins are specifically designed to protect their contents from the knocks and bumps that can sometimes occur in transit, and based on the images supplied, the product remains fully usable and fit for purpose.
We appreciate that the condition of the packaging is important to some customers. However, we do not feel that the level of compensation you requested is proportionate to the minor cosmetic damage shown, particularly as the paint itself has not been affected. For this reason, we have been unable to agree to the discount requested. That said, we have offered the option of returning the item for a full refund should you be dissatisfied with its condition.

Great paint, great colour match i bought 1 litre to do a garage door in lets just say a sorry state. The paints thick covers well...being honest I added some white spirits to thin it out so it spread easier...was warm weather which definitely affects the application...bit kind of glad as with the drop of thinners managed to get 2 and a bit coats on...10/10 for me

Paint had leaked...UPDATED
Paint had leaked out into all the plastic wrapping. It was quite bad and took me a while to clean up. I would suggest 3 or 4 clips on the lid would be appropriate as this was a mixed paint and clearly just putting the lid back on is not sufficient.
Update: since writing this review and The Paint Shed reaching out to me via email, I have to say thank you to them for their very good customer service. They offered me a small refund which I said wasn't necessary, but they gave it to me anyway. And the speed in which they responded was admirable. My review is now 4 stars! Having excellent, responsive customer service is vital for businesses and the Paint Shed proved themselves to be first class.
