Absolutely useless tracking, as noted by many other unfortunate people posting that they had similar problems, and long wait for delivery. But I would like to praise highly the young lorry driver, Aid... See more

We have now experienced repeated issues with deliveries from this company, and unfortunately the service has been extremely disappointing.
A few weeks ago, a delivery to our business unit was delayed because the driver claimed he “couldn’t get anywhere near the unit.” He gave three different reasons during the same phone call:
• Road works (there were road works in the wider area, but nowhere near our unit and no access restrictions at all).
• A queue at KFC opposite our unit (this does not block access — it is not a narrow road and we have multiple units operating here daily without issue).
• A car parked in the way (again, not possible — this is a clear working area and no one parks across the units).
When my husband, who was physically inside the unit at the time, lifted the shutter to check, there were no vehicles blocking access whatsoever. After speaking to the driver, we discovered he was actually parked around the corner in his van.
Fast forward to today — we had another delivery due. The supplier correctly provided our shop address, and we explained it needed to go to our unit (as normal). The driver was reluctant to take it to the unit again. When I showed him where it was, he remembered the previous incident and it became clear he was the same driver.
He again stated he has “issues getting there” and said “if I can take it I will.” We explained clearly that in all our years of trading we have never once had access issues with any other delivery driver — he is the only one. He responded by saying he has been driving for 20 years. I explained that length of service does not change the fact that no one else has ever struggled to access our unit.
At this point, his tone became aggressive. When I asked for his name so I could raise a complaint with both the sender and the transport company, he refused to provide it.
We rely on timely deliveries for customer jobs. Last week, a customer had completely emptied her home in preparation for a laminate installation, only for this driver to falsely claim he could not deliver — causing unnecessary stress and disruption for our customer and our business.
We understand drivers face challenges, but making repeated excuses where there are no genuine access issues, refusing to provide identification, and becoming confrontational is unacceptable.
We hope this is addressed seriously, as businesses depend on reliable and professional delivery services.

Emailed with a delivery schedule of 10.30am to 12.30pm this morning. Great - I will plan my day around that. It's a kerbside pallet delivery so will need moving. Organised some paid help and waited.
Then everytime you check the tracking the delivery is pushed back. It is now 1pm and the tracking now has a delivery of 1.30pm to 3.30pm and obviously still not delivered. Now 3 hours behind the scheduled delivery window in just the space of a morning - clearly a poor process.
Very frustating and now wasted a day and paid for help to just wait around. I cannot recommend and will try to avoid in future as reading other reviews this is a regular occurence.
UPDATE - 4pm just had a call to confirm they can no longer deliver today as my pallets are blocked in by a couple of oversized crates that won't fit on the tail lift - you could not make this sh*t up. AVOID.

Fabulous delivery experience from this delivery company. Kept informed well in advance of the delivery with useful tracker. Particular praise to Shane (Delivery Driver) who was very helpful, friendly and di his best to locate the pallet as close to our front door as possible. Happy to recommend this company.

This is by far the worst delivery service I have ever dealt with. I had four heavy porcelain tiles due for delivery, and despite having a fully accessible shingled driveway, the driver simply left them outside my gate instead of reversing in and delivering them properly.
Lazy, unhelpful, and completely unacceptable service. I will never use Stone Save again if they continue to work with this delivery company.

Driver was very polite and helpful. Can’t fault any aspect of the delivery. He is a very good representative for the company.

They are useless. The tracking information is irrelevant as they don't have a clue when things are getting delivered. They transferred me to another of their companies - React who told me that they never bother updating the tracking as its always wrong! People at both companies seem to be uninterested in assisting and certainly don't know how to apologise. They just want to get rid of you.

Booked in for Monday. Email states out for delivery today on a Saturday. Deliver slot changes every time I look supposedly in the next hour! Still waiting for delivery… so will it be today or Monday!

Had a delivery 2 days ago. Narrow cul-de-sac with bin lorry pushing to get past. Phoned by the driver 15min in advance and received an extremely well packed cargo bag of topsoil which the driver expertly manoeuvred through a gate with mm to spare. Impressed with how calm and professional the driver/operator remained throughout. Great work.

On a positive note, the driver was friendly and helpful when he arrived. And my delivery was well wrapped and in good condition on the pallet. That's important - but also important is having a realistic idea of when the delivery will take place.
Do you remember the bad old days of a delivery being between 08:00 - 18:00 so you have to wait in all day. Most companies are now capable of giving a delivery window so your entire day isn't trapped in the house waiting for a delivery.
My experience seems to be consistent with others reported on Trustpilot. I called in the morning for an estimate and was told delivery by 11:50. Lovely - only half a day required and I could start assembly of my delivery when it arrived.
Called again after noon because no delivery - told it would be between 12:30 - 14:30.
Called again at 14:45 and told it would be between 15:03 - 16:03.
Finally arrived after 16:30.
I don't know what is worse - just telling customers that it will be some time during the day, or advising random times that are clearly absolute nonsense. Surely it must have been evident that I wouldn't get the delivery during the morning? A very frustrating (and frankly misleading) company to deal with.

Didn't turn up and no contact. Tracking shows no data. So basically they didn't bother. They were supposed to deliver patio tiles. I had installers booked for weekend. Not out of pocket. Cost of items nearly £800. So workmen very busy. Idiots like these costing people money.

Gardner Distribution Plymouth Driver did not have sufficient information to locate the delivery address. So one very large vehicle drove down our narrow country lane to the wrong address. Driver did some damage to trees on the way out and did not bother to tidy up the damage. Every time we have dealt with Gardner the experience has been somewhere between irritating and disastrous.

Ordered top soil and mushroom compost from QGS and The Pallet Company were delivering. QGS make it v clear that "delivery" is only to pavement. I have house on a slope (also a no no) and plan A was to see if driver could get it up drive to garage door so gardener could wheelbarrow into back garden from there.
Thought there was nil chance but the driver Alan did exactly what was needed and it wasn't easy. The bags are a lot larger in real life rather than staring at pictures on laptop. The large one weighed one ton and the smaller one wasn't far off. Alan was extraordinarily helpful and saved us a lot of work by getting the soil as close as possible. He didn't have to do that and I hope The Pallet Company realise his worth, and also QGS as their reputation to an extent, balances on the delivery.
