Review policy requires change
Let me start off by mentioning that I am completely fine with guidelines / requirements regarding the quality of the content of customer reviews, including to ensure that a review is formulated based on facts (as much as possible, while still providing some room for personal feelings as long as is clear from the text that it should be considered a feeling rather than fact), while fully preventing actual misinformation.
However, due to their irrational review requirements, specifically that you cannot provide a negative review of a company if also published elsewhere, I was unable to get my review approved. It seems to me as though they attempt to steer for positive reviews of the wedding-suppliers mentioned on their website this way, as it is also clear from other reviews here on Trustpilot. I regard it public knowledge that people with negative experiences will feel the need to warn other potential customers, which is done most effectively on different platforms. Claims by TPW with regards to reviews therefore, so is my personal opinion, come across disingenuous.
So, TPW, remove the requirement that a review cannot have been posted elsewhere and prove you truly care about what you claim on your website: "Het doel van deze ervaringen is het inzichtelijk maken van de markt voor bruidsparen zodat zij een gefundeerde keuze kunnen maken". Truly allow people to make a well informed decision by allowing reviews published elsewhere. Truly help brides and grooms, instead of just the companies you are dependent on.
EDIT: TPW did indeed accept my fully reworded (yet same core content) review of the third party experience and has left it online on their website for a few months now. I trust/hope they will continue to do so in the future. Updated the star-rating to reflect my overall experience and to reiterate the importance of clients being able to submit their reviews to a platform such as TPW.
